Thread: I am on day 17 and SOOO hungry

  1. #13
Yes, yesterday was my skip day I took 15 units this morning and will def call them today bc you're right, its something thats going inside my body. Its so annoying though that no one there really knows. Would injecting in my upper bum/lower back be okay? Or should I stick to my stomach for optimal results? Really just trying to optimize now since my days are coming to an end (Though technically i could go longer and im thinking I will bc there is def more HCG left since i'm not taking their recommended 30 units.) Im on day 19 today and still want to lose 10 lbs to get to my goal.

Here's to hitting the dose target right on.

Don't be concerned if your hunger levels are not quite where you want them today. Your dose was so high that it might take a little longer to settle in.

You can do a search for subcutaneous injection sites. You'll find charts that show the best places to inject. Upper bum and lower back is usually not on them, although it is a good place for the IM injections. You can go a little lower though. The charts show the range for best absorbtion. Women and men charts are slightly different.

With subcutaneous injections, about 2 inches from the navel seems to be a sweet spot. Less nerves and vessels there. I found that to be true. Early on, I saw a tip on a childrens diabetes board that really helped me. They said to touch the needle to the chosen injection site and if you feel any pain, move the needle over a bit. Even a quarter inch is enough. That way, you are more likely to miss blood vessels near the surface. After I started doing that, I never got another injection site bruise. Inner thigh seems to be the next most popular choice for people that have reported here.

If you can go to 30 dose days, that length of round gives as good a chance at smooth stabilization as the maximum length round.

I'll be interested to hear what comes of the dose question conversations.

Question about menstrual cycle and HCG. When I did it a while ago it was recommend to not take the shots. Is that still the recommendation? And if so, why?

Yes, it used to be suggested to skip while on your cycle. But most people dont anymore. You can skip your heaviest day if you like.

The idea was postulated somewhere along the line that your body produces a small amount of the hormone during the flow days of your cycle, and it might be enough of an increase in your dose to cause hunger or stop losses. There is nothing in the protocol that suggests that, and many people have found that not to be an issue. Nurses have weighed in on the discussion to say the premise is false. Nevertheless, you can choose to skip a day or two if you wish.

Personally, I skipped anytime there was a valid reason to, because it extends the round and therefore your losing opportunity.

There is a section in the protocol entitled "Menstrual Interruption" that seems to be what has caused confusion about this. In reading over this section, it seems to me that it is not referring to stopping injections, but in the observation that weight loss can be "interrupted" during the menstrual period. If taken in context of the other interruption paragraphs surrounding it, the other passages are also referring to the pause in weight loss, not a pause in taking the injections. In fact, the reason noted for stopping has only to do with suspicious of pregnancy if the cycle is delayed.

Hi Leez! This is my last week and I was wondering if you could point me to any P3 threads that would be good to read. I didn't hit my goal unfortunately..im 10 lbs from that actually so im kind of disheartened but im also grateful for the loss that I did get because of your help! I have a feeling had I started off with the right dosing i'd be closer to my goals. Oh well. I read somewhere in this forum that there is still hope to lose some more fat and shape out better in P3 if done right, so i'm hoping I can capitalize on that. Which is why I want to know more about P3. Last time I just started eating without much thought, granted it was very healthy, but there was no strategy...also last time I went past my goal weight so I was beyond elated lol.

Here are my best thoughts on being successful in P3:

    https://hcgdietinfo.com/hcgdietforum...sful-p3-25199/

jmrr has a good post on this too:
    My Journey

The strategy is to get in touch with your hunger and satisfaction signals and eat ENOUGH. More people get into trouble in P3 by not eating enough than by eating too much. The first few days, your capacity can be low after all the time on P2, so during the beginning of P3 its a good idea to concentrate on good fats so that you can get enough calories credited in keeping your metabolism humming along.

Beware of advice to restrict, or ramp up calories slowly. That is diet thinking, and not part of the protocol.

The reshaping that happens in P3 is a real thing. I've had rounds where I lost a whole pants size while the scale stayed steady. You end up looking thinner at a higher weight.

Thank you so much! The reshaping would be the most ideal situation, even if the scale doesn't budge. I just want to fit into my pre baby jeans again...like really fit. Currently I can get into them and they close and are wearable but they don't have the give they had before. Dually noted on eating enough...Im a restricter and have always thought that I am messing up my metabolism but can never get myself to eat more. I was actually looking forward to doing this protocol not only to lose the baby weight but to start fresh with my eating habits and metabolism. The breakfast your mentioned in the blog that you shared sounds delicious....what are your thoughts on coconut oil in coffee? I love beans and lentils (lentil pastas are a staple in our household) and would love to know your thoughts around that for P3. And should whole grain breads/sourdough bread/oatmeal be avoided for the most part?

Personally, I don't like the taste of coconut oil in coffee. But I love it in coconut oil candy. MCT oil is a kind of coconut oil that is tasteless though and great in coffee. Bonus is that it burns differently than other fats, so you can be energized by it. Some people will notice they get warm after ingesting MCT. If you add MCT and some unflavored gelatin to your coffee and blend it, it actually makes the coffee creamy. Beans and lentils are a little starchy, so not the best choices for P3. You could have a small amount, say 1/4 C serving and probably get away with it. You are also best avoiding grains and breads in P3. Some can add a small amount of Ezekiel 4:9 sprouted bread in P3 as it is flourless. It would be a caution food.

Your question seems to suggest you are craving breads and starches. Rather than focus on those, its best to concentrate your menu around all kinds of meats, green and leafy veggies, and some fruits. Liberally use good fats like avocados, olive oil and coconut oil. Eggs are a good protein source if tolerated, and if you use dairy protein, do not choose low fat versions. Butter is awesome. There will be plenty of time to enjoy beans and grains after the short 3 weeks of P3.

ooooo, i didnt know p3 was just 3 weeks. I was mainly asking bc i am asian and when im not doing this protocol my main source of protein is through tofu, lentils, beans. But I can totally continue eating more meat and shifting my focus to the good fats. Surprisingly, im not really craving anything, the thought of bread (other then avocado toast lol) actually makes me tired..i love how light and energetic i feel right now and am so nervous for that feeling to go away. Im drinking my coconut oil coffee as I type this (plan on going to Whole Foods later today to get some MCT oil!) and i forgot how much I love it. Another question- how long should I wait before starting the protocol again. the lingering 10lbs is really bothering me. While I am hopeful that P3 will work in my favor I want to have a back up plan incase it doesn't. I also have about a 1/3 of the HCG left...

Yes you just have to follow the no starch/no added sugar rule for 3 weeks . Make sure you stay on the 500 calorie diet for 72 hours after your last injection, then P3 begins! Once the 21 days is over, you are free to make whatever changes you think will be good going forward.

If this is your first round, you want to have a solid 6 weeks in between round 1 & 2.

    Round 1: 6 weeks
    Round 2: 8 weeks (2 mo)
    Round 3: 12 weeks (3 mo)
    Round 4: 20 weeks (5 mo)
    Round 5: 24 weeks (6 mo)

Here's an explanation of why the waiting is important:
    https://hcgdietinfo.com/why-its-impo...etween-rounds/

If you love coconut oil in your coffee, its fine to continue that in P3. If you do get MCT, do not cook with it. It is too delicate for high heat.

Your mixture of HCG for injection will not be good by your second round. Some have reported that they filled syringes, wrapped well in foil and froze to be used later. You could try that, but there is no guarantee. Its not a good idea to freeze the mixing vial because it is pressurized.
