    Cool Any Thoughts.....?

On consuming lean steak during Phase2?

Any experiences....I read someone's post, don't remember who now,
who had eaten it, although it is not on Dr S's original protocol....the comment was, "Lean meat is lean meat"....made sense to me....

    Anyone?

I'm pretty sure a ton of people eat lean steak in p4.
    Lunch:
1 100 grams of veal, beef, chicken breast, fresh white fish, lobster, crab, or shrimp. All visible fat
must be carefully removed before cooking, and the meat must be weighed raw. It must be boiled or
grilled without additional fat. Salmon, eel, tuna, herring, dried or pickled fish are not allowed. The
chicken must be removed from the bird.
2 One type of vegetable only to be chosen from the following: spinach, chard, chicory, beet-greens,
green salad, tomatoes, celery, fennel, onions, red radishes, cucumbers, asparagus, cabbage.
3 One breadstick (grissino) or one Melba toast.
4 An apple or an orange or a handful of strawberries or one-half grapefruit.
    Dinner :
The same four choices as lunch.

Started at 179 (5'3") June 5th 2010. Lost 40 pounds eating no sugar, flour, wheat, rice, or dairy, and eating 2 times a day breakfast and lunch. Stalled at 138 for 4 months then decided to do HCG.

It is on the original protocol. Lean steak would fall under the category of lean beef. Dr. S does caution against fatty American beef. Italian beef would have been more similar in composition to our grassfed beef or even bison. And the beef industry has bred for leaner meat since the 1950's. I eat lean grassfed steak on occasion, and lean grassfed ground beef almost every day. Just make sure it is very lean.

I eat beef tenderloin (filets), sirloin, veal and bison. I love bison!!! It's getting harder to find it lately, though...

It really depends on the person but you men can usually eat it with no problem. My husband eats beef almost every meal when he's on the protocol and loses great, the rat. LOL I can't eat it though.
