Wow, I have not checked this thread for a while, needed a break from everything dealing with weight for a while. What a bunch of activity.
Yep the sesison seems a bit brutal but it really wasn't. It actually went on for another 45 mintues that was not taped. She called me out on my "know it all" beliefs. I thought I knew everything that there was about weight loss. I was a bit arrogant about the whole thing.
I measured EVERYTHING I ate, I tracked EVERY workout I did and every bit of food that went in my mouth for YEARS. I had a bodymedia fit, heart rate monitors, really nice exercise equipement. Everything that should have lead me to success. I had tons of spreadsheets that showed I had such calorie deficits that I should have been 100 pounds but still I gained. I basically was beating myself up with exercise and trying to micromanage my body and throwing all my hormones out of whack.
I did mess up my thyroid due to the years of physical demands from exercise and under eating that I did to it and I am on Armour but it was real hard to find a doctor that would hear me out about it. Even after I got on the meds I still over exercised. HCG has forced me to stop using exercise to lose weight and now I know that it never will.
She definetly is NOT for everyone and I knew what I was getting into when I saw her. It has forced me to take a hard look at why I was abusing myself (childhood issues of course). I have to let go of that tight control I was having over my body and let it heal itself.
I am still working on loving myself and stop with the self loathing talk.

years of (I"m paraphrasing, I'm old, give me a littl break here) denying or holding back calories (since I was ll yrs old) screws with your metabo
however
you did that cuz your metabo was screwed from the get go and
you bought into cal in cal out.
You go girl, take what yOU CAN USE FROm ANY "counselor" and use it and discard the rest.
