How to bring down weight in P4

    Hi, everyone!

Monday, June 8 marked the 4th day of Phase 4, and I had to fly out for company training.

I mostly stayed on protocol, making sure to avoid starches and sugars. I ate my usual: generally high protein (chicken, beef), lots of veggies, heavy creamed coffee, almonds, plenty of water, etc. The weight crept up despite eating fairly well, and I attribute it to the added sugars and high fructose corn syrup in the salad dressings that I didn't know about until four days later. Damn you, ranch! We did have dinner at a fancy shmancy restaurant one night, and I had a little bit of creamed corn and mashed potatoes. Another time, I could swear my chicken was not really chicken since parts of it were really puffy...

I didn't weigh myself daily like I normally do, but I could feel a difference in my waist line/clothes and noticed the slight puffiness in my face in the AM.

Fast forward seven days: I'm home and now weigh 5 lbs. over my stable P3 weight of 122.6 (7 lbs. +LDW).

I realize doing a steak day tomorrow might not do any good this late, but I'm hoping for the opposite. I've read about a bunch of correction days (full-fat fage, eggs, steak & cheese, chicken thighs) but am concerned of their long-term efficacy.

Aside from the steak day I am planning tomorrow, is there anything else I can do over the next few days to help bring down this excess weight?

Thank you, everyone, for your input!

I gain 5 pounds every single time I travel. I do a steak day when I get home and it all drops off in 2 days or so maximum of 3. it's just water weight. I bet you will have the same thing happen. Just do your steak day and you'll probably lose 2-3 pounds the first day and the rest will drop off.

    That's excellent news!!

I'll do my steak day today and follow it up with a few days of clean-eating. Hope it drops off quickly! I liked fitting into my jeans comfortably! LOL
