Wow, that's pretty incredible. Glad it worked for you!
I was down 4.4 this morning. Saturday, I was 140.0 and today 135.6.
I did the steak day for two reason, one was because the night before I over ate on junk food at a graduation party. Sunday, I was up 2.2 (below LDW by .4) and I felt terrible from eating "dirty" the day before and my ecezma was flaring up. So a Steak Day always helps with this happens, I lose weight and my ecezma clears up.
The second reason that I did it was that I'm going to fast/Steak Day once a month on P4 just because.
Here's how the day went: I wake up, drink a pot of coffee with half and half and then I switch to green tea and water the rest of the day. I usually nap and watch movies on SD make time pass faster. I bought a tri tip, it was approx. 18 oz., seasoned it with some HCG steak seasoning that I bought when I was on P3, I pan fry it in butter, that's it. And I had an apple.
I'll admit SD take a lot of self control and will power and aren't for the weak but it sure feels good when you step on the scale the next morning.
Thanks Grammy for the Experimental Steak Day Thread Experiment with Fasting/Steak Day, before I read the thread I thought I had to be over my LDW for it to work.

and it wasn't water weight either, I don't drink alcohol or soda, just had water. It was pure junk food fat that was realeased. I drink 2L of water along with the decaf green tea so I think that helped. I feel so much better today.
Thanks again for the thread you started.

I did my first steak day yesterday and although I weighed on an out of town scale yesterday and today on my own scale I am 2.9lbs gone. I think the out of town scale was fairly in line with my own scale being that Thursday and Friday on the different scales my weight was within .5 lb. So basically with a 4 day trip to Chicago, my weight today is just .2 above when I weighed in on Thursday. I know at the very least I was up b/c the scale in Chicago on Friday morning and yesterday morning had gone up 3 lbs so I know I was up at least that much so I'm happy with the results.
Question.....In the original thread which I just went to but there are so many posts, Grammy, did you keep doing the experiment weekly or monthly and did you find you got results? How often can you do a steak day? I have a few more lbs I would like to lose but wanted to end P2 after 35 days and I'm pretty much at a weight where my body always seems to settle. I would love to break the set point and might do another round at a later time. But wondering if I do a steak day once a week or once every few weeks if that might help me too.
No I only did it a few times then the last time I only lost 1 pound so that wasn't worth it to me.

@Colleen
is it "okay" that I went 4.2 lbs below my LDW? I'm just eating "normal" today and will report results for the next few days to see how the Experiment went.
Any thoughts?

Since you're in P4, it's okay. Just make sure you're not messing up your metabolism all over again.

So I did the steak day sunday and then yesterday was back to P3 and put on .4. Is that normal after a steak day? I thought I would stabilize and maybe go lower because I am still about a lb or so higher than my lowest weight. I didn't eat a lot yesterday and mainly in the evening so maybe that was my problem?
It's not uncommon to gain a little back. It's also not uncommon to just stick there. It's NOT common to lose more. Where are you in relation to your LIW? You said you were a pound above your lowest weight but that's not what you need to be watching.

Update, day two and I'm the same weight I was on day one, it's amazing. I ate my regular 2000 and I didn't exercise for the past two day, have a cold. On Monday I was 135.6, 4.8 below my LDW. And on Tues and Weds I'm still 135.6, amazing. I can't believe it. During the past 52 days in P4 I have never weighed the same two days in a row. And I made a discovery that I must share, I will link this to the P4 workout thread...So on the days that I worked out I would still eat 2000 cal and the next day I always gained, never figured that one out. Well it turns out I wasn't eating enough to keep up with the exercise I did the previous day. It has to make sense to increase cals on the days you work out. Because the past two days I have not exercise because I'm fighting a Summer chest cold and I've been eating 2000 cal and I'm staying the same weight. Did that make sense? Can't believe how much I learned from the Experimental Steak Day. I learned that you can still loose and maintain below your LDW and how many cals my body needs to maintain when I work out. My life and weight will never be the same after HCG.
