If the weight stalls as it has for the past few days I think I am pretty much done with this course. I got to the point where I would lose a lb or 2 and gain it right back the day after, so I assume that's water weight from laxatives and not fat weight. Bottom line is I lost 19lbs in 44 days, which isn't great but I'm at a weight I've been most of my life pretty much. If I hadn't been starving for 3 weeks I would have taken the extra 10 off probably. I hope to continue to diet and lose that weight sensibly..if no weight comes off by Fri that's it for me..on to phase 3. It kills me that it took so long to get the dose right! I may do another round, is that in 6 weeks or 21 days?
Hi Cindie! Congrats on finishing P2! I'm done next week, excited for more food opportunities, but nervous about stabilizing. I'm still trying to decide if I want to do another round too. It is 6 weeks that we have to wait between R1 and R2. We have to do 3 weeks of P3 and 3 weeks of P4. I would be doing a shorter round because I am not going to have that much left to lose, and the 2 days of loading would be fun (last chance in my life to eat whatever I want in large quantities!), but the idea of doing P2 again, and stabilizing again, doesn't sound too appealing. But I do really want to get to my goal, and if I survived a long round, I'm sure I could survive a shorter round....especially with a 6 week break I guess. Good luck to you! Keep us posted on how P3 goes and your first days of stabilizing.

What is the reason other veggies, like carrots and cucumbers, zucchini, etc are not listed?
What about other Fruits than the 5 listed? Any others that can be used?

    Hi Grammy,

I am on R1P2D25, and the last couple of days, I have been feeling extremely hungry. My stomach won't stop yelling at me to eat. I'm drinking about 100 ounces of water a day, and have tried spreading my meals out the best I can, but I'm still quite hungry. I've also been losing less than I'm used to during these past three days filled with hunger (but I realize that could be because I'm so far into my round). Do you think I need to lower my dose even though 150iu has been working for me since I started? Or, could my HCG have lost its potency already since I have had it for 25 days (I asked almost a week ago what to do about my HCG, and you said 30 days was the absolute most you would stretch it since I couldn't get more before the end of my P2)?

I have 6 injections left, and was hoping I could make it into the 150's before stabilizing (0.9 pounds away from that goal!).

Thanks again for all of your help!
    -Amanda

Eating anything off protocol is taking a gamble. Some people regularly eat things off protocol and struggle to lose or stabilize properly. Some eat off protocol items and don't have problems. The safest bet, especially if it is your first round, is to stick as close as you can to the protocol as it is written. Remember, HCG isn't just a diet, it is a hormonal protocol, so any changes could affect you long term.

Cucumbers are actually listed in the protocol. If you haven't yet, make sure you read through Pounds and Inches by Dr. Simeons to get an understanding of what you should eat and how the protocol works.

Carrots and squash are higher in natural sugars/carbs. The only veggie I've had that was off protocol is broccoli and it was fine for me, but it's not for everyone. I'm not sure why he picked the fruits he did, but I don't eat any non protocol fruits on P2 so I don't have any experiences to share there.

    Hi Grammy --

    Need your insights please!

Last night was the first time at all in P3 that I've had any actual cravings. It was so weird, because I almost never get them -- even before I knew about HCG, cravings didn't really happen for me.

But last night we were supposed to go to a screening and so we were eating quickly because we had to leave the house, and I had two grilled, grassfed beef hotdogs w/o buns, and some sauerkraut and grilled onions from a shop around the corner. There must have been sugar in the hotdogs, because suddenly I could NOT stand it and wanted some kind of starch SO badly. A few minutes after we ate, we found out the screening was cancelled and we were just going to be around the house for the evening.

Over the next few hours I ended up drinking three glasses of red wine and eating one-by-one about THIRTY (three handfulls of) Newman's Own Organic thin pretzel sticks.

(They are my husband's and I don't even like them that much, but they did hit the spot.)

AAAAAND, of course this morning I've gone up by 1.75 lbs.

I'm wondering if you think the cravings were from possible sugar in the hot dogs? OR -- I didn't get enough sleep the night before (only five hours). Could that have been it?

ALSO -- yesterday was the start of week 3 of P3. Does this mean I'm not stable? WHAT exactly does this mean? That I can never eat starch again?

It's so unfair that I have such cr**py metabolism! I've never been a huge overeater, in fact used to eat almost nothing (!), and yet I weigh so much. This is really discouraging.

I'm trying a steak day today, and am relying on coffee to keep from feeling overly-deprived.

Thanks for any advice or encouragement you can offer.

To tell you the truth Kake I'm pertrified. I wish I could just stay on this forever. I don't trust myself cause the deprivation has been so severe that if the flood gates should have a crack in them not sure I won't just pig out completely. I think it's important to stay away from wine or any booze for a very very long time, I can imagine it breaking down all will. We all have remarkable desire for change or we would never go on a diet like we have. Will report back and hopefully not in the form of confessions, guilt and regret for putting the weight back on! Most people I have told what I have done think I'm out of my mind..lol..nice to have a forum of peeps just like me!Be well:-)

Hey Grammy, I had a very quick question. I know everyone uses the liquid Stevia drops, but I don't like that they contain alcohol, so I found this awesome alcohol free version that uses a base of vegetable glycerine. Is this allowed in P2? It also contains pure vanilla extract. I wasn't sure if that was allowed either. Thanks! https://nunaturals.com/product/105

I'll just be able to check in during the evening hours the next few days, friends. At my publisher's today and then to a conference the rest of the weekend.

Cindie, it's 6 weeks between rounds. You did great!

kakennedy, as long as you weren't hungry or weak, you should be okay.

awbryson, Dr. Simeons tested everything. All that is allowed is listed. And cucumbers ARE listed.

littlemiss, skip your next shot. That's the only way to know.

Whole Foods, I wish I could help but I've never had any problems with cravings that severe. This late in your P3, some trace amount of sugar shouldn't have caused a problem. Your gain actually wasn't that bad considering how much you ate. Just do your steak day and it should fall off.

Julie, everything is zero about it so it should be okay.

Ok this has NOTHING to do with HCG but I just found out my new book, Rosemary Cottage, hit the USAToday bestseller list! Huge news and I'm so excited!
