    Hi Grammy! Need your help. My husband and I just completed a very successful round. This was my husbands 2nd round. He lost 34 pound in 40 days. Awesome! Here's the problem his first day of p3 was yesterday and he woke up to a 3 pound gain!!! Ugh he is so disappointed! FYI I convinced him yesterday he didn't need to count calories just eat until full. Did I screw him up? Here is what he ate.

    Breakfast/lunch Egg white omelette with turkey sausage, onions and goat cheese, made with olive oil
    Snack a cup of blueberries, 2 ounces of goat cheddar cheese
    Dinner 3, 7 ounces 93% lean turkey burgers topped with caramilized onions! green beans with onions! also made with olive oil

    Also 4 cups of coffee with soy milk creamer.

    He is 6'4 and 234, so it doesn't seem like a lot but maybe it is...any ideas? Does he need to do a steak day on his 2nd day of p3?

    Hi grammy ,
    I need some advice. Since I started P3 I been having problems. Most of the time my weight have been over the 2 pounds , I had done 3 steak days and one chicken day and a couple of protein days.
    The first and the third steak day worked but the next day I gain the weight back and the same happened with the chicken day
    The second steak day didnt work I gain .2
    Protein days just help me to maintain my weight.
    I have not been able to introduce that many food because my weight is so crazy. The only new food that I eat once ina while is eggs and almonds and few non starchy vegetables . I had not being eating any sugar or starches.
    I really dont know what to do.
    Im trying to eat 100 grams of protein , strawberries (6-9), 1 apple and a vegetables at lunch and dinner. Im also drinking water and walking 45 minutes a day .
    At the beginning of last week I did two days of weight lifting but that even made my weight higher so I stop and I plan to started again in P4.
    I was thinking that maybe I should adjust my LIW, My LIW is 133.8 right now im 4.2 over , I was thinking maybe I should change to 135.8 (2 pounds more).
    But I guess my biggest question is what can I do so I dont keep gaining weight ??
    Thank you so much for any advice or suggestion that you can provide , This situation is driving me crazy and is affecting every aspect of my life.

    Yes he needs to do a steak day, gigi. But why is he eating egg whites and turkey? He can get fats now. and with that kind of fast increase, he's eating something he's sensitive to. Could be the dairy or the eggs. Or the soy. Soy is terrible for you.

    Alexa, what have you been eating? At this point, I'd adjust your LIW so you're not stressing over your weight all the time. And why are you only eating 100 grams of protein per meal? That's the same as P2 and you need to increase your protein and fats dramatically in P3.

    Im Eating mostly p2 food .
    My protein is about 12-16 oz depending of the type of protein ( equivalent to 100 grams of nutritional value)
    I'm eating 2 fruits about 7 strawberries and 1 apple and a lot of vegetables (no starchy)
    I know you don't count calories but I eat about 1700 calories

    You're not getting in enough protein. and you should certainly be eating more variety than P2 food.

    Was is shop bought turkey sausage or did you make it yourself? Every single brand of turkey sausage I've ever seen (and I looked at every one in my town, which were several) all contain SUGAR, not to mention several contained Sodium Diacetate - a synthetic polymer fungicide and bactericide used in many processed meat foods, neither of which are a good thing to have. Which is why I make my own. BTW, the reason "I" eat turkey sausage verses regular sausage is simply because I don't eat pork (or shell fish, or catfish, etc).

    Thanks Grammy. He doesn't eat pork and we have just always ate egg whites. He used lots of olive oil when cooking. Last round he didn't have any issue with dairy....maybe the soy. He was trying to eat for his blood type which says to avoid dairy except goat cheese. He did a steak day today. He is going to cut out the soy tomorrow. Thanks again!

    Hi Grammy, please help me figure out what I'm doing wrong.

    I am on day 16 of R1/P2/INJ. I started out losing a pound a day for the first week, then major slow down. My new norm became .4oz a day. I accepted this after some research, destressed and continued forward. Day 14 - no loss at all so I did an apple day. Day 15 lost 1.7 lbs and thought I was back on track to meet my goal. Woke this morning and had gained .4oz!

    Over the last three days I have consumed 1274 calories. My meals yesterday were an apple to finish off the "apple day", 3oz spinach, 3 egg whites, 1 full egg for lunch (couldn't stomach meat or fish), 3 scallops (for my white fish), 3 cups of cabbage for dinner (trying to gain calories), skipped last fruit (too much cabbage - upset tummy). Calories totaled 387. I also had 48oz of water with added calcium, magnesium, and potassium in the first bottle.

    I stopped exercising after first week, thought it was skewing the results. I stopped the mineral water for a week but got dizzy, I also have had diarrhea for a week and a half.

    Where did I mess up that caused the 4oz gain? I can't express how little fun I'm having right now

    You will not lose every day so to do an apple day because of it was totally the wrong thing to do. That's why you gained the next day. It was just water weight. Scallops are not on protocol. They are not a sub for white fish. Eggs are only allowed on occasion so if you're eating them often, that could be part of your issue, but really, it sounds like you're having normal losses. How much have you lost in total from the first day of the actual diet?

    I don't eat eggs often, about every 4 or 5 days. I have lost 10lbs.

    Grammy I don't know what to do , doesn't matter what I eat my weight keeps going up every day. Today I'm up .8 in total I'm 5 lb over ldw
    Today I'm doing a egg day maybe that works for me and I'm thinking to do protein days for the rest of the week .
    Do you think that is a good plan ?
    Or by any chance you have like a 3 days p3 menu for dummies ?
    I'm not eating milk, cheese or nuts.
    Also do you think that if I'm sensitive to eggs in definitively going to know tomorrow after an egg day ? How would I tell a gain or no change in weight ?
