That's great! But don't be upset if you gain or stall tomorrow. Often the cheat doesn't show up until the 2nd day. But you stuck to P2 food so it might not have had that much impact on you. Hope that's the case!

Starting HCG diet with thyroid issues

Hi Grammy, I'm hypothyroid and have been on the HCG diet previously. I have since gain all but a few pounds back. I've recently stopped taking NDT and have started on cytomel only because of high reverse t3. I asked the Dr about going on the HCG diet and he said it would be ineffective until I get the reverse T3 out of my system and get my thyroid issues sorted out. I would appreciate your thoughts on this. Thanks

That's really not true. Even hypothyroid people lose well on hcg. It's harder to maintain without your thyroid being level though. But by the time 6 weeks are up, your levels should be looking better.

Hi Grammy! I posted here earlier this week... but another question. My hcg arrived already, but I don't plan on starting another round until after the 1st of the year. It is Hucog powder 5,000. Do I refrigerate (unmixed) until it's ready to be used? And how long is it good for? Thank you!

Hi - May I please ask you a dosing question? I know you are an expert from reading all your great responses to others. I'm on day 7 of my 2nd round. R1 I started at 200iu and ended at 170iu (all dr supervised). I took 6 weeks off and this time and doing myself to save $. I mixed 5000iu with 10ml bac wat. I started this round at 150iu (I read you typically need lower doses in subsquent rounds so I lowered). Day 5 started to get really hungry so D6 & D7 lowered to 140iu. Should I skip a day to see what happens to see if I should lower or raise my dose? Or should I try to lower to 125iu and see if I feel better? I never was hungry like this on round 1 so I'm getting worried & frustrated. Thanks so much for your help :-)

It's always best to skip a day of hcg and see how you feel after 4 and into the evening. If better, then you know your dose is too high. If you don't feel better, then you know it's too low. It's generally too high though. Good luck!
