Thread: Ask Grammy

    Hello Colleen,

Here is me again and now with a different issue. I stopped my injections 2 days early and I want to migrate to P3.

My skip day was last Saturday. Today, Wednesday, is the first day I had no injections. I am one injection short for a 4 days in a row sequence.
I will keep the 500 calories for as long as I can but no longer than 72 hours, of course, but I suspect I will be hungry much earlier.
If so than do you have any suggestion for a first reasonable P3 day? 48-60 hours?

You might ask why did she not continue for 2 more days. Right?
    I am at a plateau.
It started with a can of tuna after which my weight went 3 lb up. I continued the regimen and the weight dropped 2 lb but since then not any lower.
I am positive that it is a result of water retention because my ankles, feet, and even toes are visibly swollen.

Maybe it is a result of over-consumption of salt. Maybe I need to introduce some potassium through supplements. I don't know yet.

A few new things happened after the "tuna mishap". Right around that time was my mid-TOM, which always causes water retention for me.
Then I got a Liver Detoxifier & Regenerator and MSM and started the supplements.
Some or all of them contributed to my plateau and I thought that an apple day is a little too late on P2.
Especially if it is a hormone related water retention, then apples will hardly help.

Since I am at the end of the round I decided to just give up and go with P3, supplements, and 6-8 weeks later to start another round, maybe more successful than this one.

    Thanks!

Had my blood drawn this morning and should know the results by tomorrow afternoon. My tests have gone back to a lighter line, so I'm not really sure what's going on. I've had some random cramping for the last 2 days but still no period. I absolutely hate not knowing!!

2Kids, It will show positive, just like a urine test can show positive. the key is the value. If it's a really low amount like 45 iu or something, then that is most likely the shots. If your value is 250 or 500 or higher, then you're pregnant. But whatever your value, I would get it taken again in 2 days. If you're pregnant, the value will double. Good luck!

Crystal, you should not be hungry. Your skip day was long enough ago that you've got plenty of hcg in your system. So 72 hours.

You're hungry ONLY at night, Candace? It's likely lost some potency then and you're needing to up the dose. But I would skip a dose to make sure you go the right direction.

Thank you Grammy ;-) I would only be 9 DPO so my level would probably be lower than what I inject anyway. The 48 hour retest will definitely be key! Thank you for the input! I will let you know what happens ;-)

Hcg doesn't cause fever, tsilva. You appear to be sick so you should probably see your doctor.

Hi Grammy. I had been feeling hungrier the past few days so decided to mix a new vial of hcg...this time Corion. My losses were great the first week and then only 3lbs the following 2 weeks and only .2 this past week. So between the low losses and increasing hunger I decided not to skip a day...I just wasn't sure I could get through yesterday feeling so ravenous. So I just started using the fresh HCG right away. The first HCG I was using up until yesterday was dosed at 100iu so rather than start the fresh HCG at 100iu I started it at 125iu. Now I am concerned that I did it all wrong and am wondering what to do at this point. I have already injected my dose for today.

Another point is that even after injecting the fresh hcg I was hungry all day yesterday but it was getting somewhat better by bedtime last night. For the first time in about a week I did not wake up feeling so hungry. Is this just coincidence or is this the new hcg working? I was assuming it was getting better because I no longer had hcg in my system. I have read on here that hcg generally weakens around day 30 and yesterday was day 26. The low losses were another concern.

Your dose was probably too high and taking 100 helped by evening time. You really should have skipped a day. That is always the first thing to try unless you have hunger ONLY at night, after 7 or so. Hcg is usually no good by day 30. It starts weakening much sooner than that. But it's very common to need to adjust the dose down mid round. Since you already dosed at 100 again today and felt better last night, I'd hold that dose for another day.

I actually dosed yesterday and today using the new hcg at 125iu. Would you suggest that I skip tomorrow? I'm feeling hungry now but didn't wake up hungry today. I had been waking up hungry for a couple of weeks now. I don't know why I didn't think to adjust the original hcg first. If it's too late to skip a dose would you suggest that I reduce the 125iu down to 100? My hunger has mostly been in the morning for the past couple of weeks but the past few days the hunger has been pretty much all day, just not as ravenous as it was yesterday.
