Thread: Ask Grammy

you are such a great help. I am glad you take time to answer everyones questions!!! i am still confused on the exact dosage for my shots, so i will copy and paste what the nurse sent me via email when I asked her. All of the syringes I purchased are profiled to the 20 mark on the syringe (200iu).
    PER NURSE:
Ok, to answer your 1st question: I mix 10cc of the bacteriostatic (sterile water) into the vial of HCG concentrate, so each syringe is
200iu dose = .20 ml/cc (20 units on the syringe). I hope that is helpful...The brand of HCG we order is KRS Lab out of Florida

I tried the skip day earlier on when I was injecting all 200iu, and finally backed it down to 125iu on the syringe, however, I am still hungry with that .. for the past 4 days I have backed it down to 100iu on the syringe, and find I am hungrier in the mornings, and late night. Its a mystery to me really. The cravings are intense. I remember this HCG being so much easier 5 years ago.

When you said this :" Then when you hit P3 increase your carbs with sweet potatoes, pumpkin and other winter squashes, more fruit and veggies. Try to get your carbs to 75. Too many women find they barely hit 30 and that's not healthy for your thyroid and adrenals." Did you mean p4? or Can i have sweet potatoes and fruit in p3 as well? Just want to be sure I understand it.

Thanks Grammy. I had to stop at 30 days with 5 pounds to go. I wanted to pick back up where I left off to lose the last 5. I wouldn't do a new round for 5 pounds. Plus, I would have to wait 6 months. I just worry that it would cause stabilization issues in P3. I've done something similar back in 2010 and did well. But who knows how it would go this time. Dr. S doesn't advise against it, but I don't want to blow this round.

Hi Grammy, quick question...i am on p2d3 right now and might have to stop this round due to medical issues. I am down 8 lbs right now. If i do have to stop, what do you think is the best way of doing so so that i dont gain all that back? Or will i simply gain it back no matter what? Thanks!

fayla, how long did you hold at each dose as you changed it? You have to keep it at a certain dose for a couple of days. And yes, I meant P4, typo sorry!

kay, if this is your last round, you could try it and hopefully be okay.

girlsgottalose, there is no way to really keep those losses if you have to stop now. You haven't been on long enough to really keep it. Sorry!

    Grammy,

Is your concern with this scenario that I wouldn't be able to lose going back to P2 or is the concern that I would be able to stabilize in P3?

Most people who cycle never reach goal and this scenario is very much like cycling. So I wouldn't do it myself. Now if the pause was only a few days, we see people successful doing that all the time. But 2 weeks is just barely even allowed in the protocol.

    Shoud i increase Dose?

Hi Grammy! Pretty far into a round - Day 45 - using Corion - love it!! Found my "sweet spot" @ about 113iu per day (actually alternating 125iu and 100iu every other day).

For almost all of the round i have been in HCG Nirvana on the hunger control. Yesterday started to experience hunger - the sort of hunger you get with TOO low (enough issues with dosage in prior rounds to know it was more along those lines rather than "too high" hunger).

I am reticent to increase for a few reasons:
    - IT IS CORION - (and i know you know what i mean here - so easy to get too high on this brand - can cause misery)
    - I am pretty close to the end of my round (7 more injections)

Do some people need MORE towards the end? Should i risk it or just keep on doing what i am doing and ride out my last seven days? Thoughts?

You are at the end, onedimsim. You can only take 1 more shot and that's if you've been skipping a day a week.

yeah i know im being rogue here...!!! i didn't do skip days simply because hunger control was so good (i didnt want to risk destabilizing THAT). I have a measly 4lbs to end my round happy and at goal. I ALSO had a week PI seven days ago. So given this if you WERE going to continue the 7 days - hold the dose or go up? :-D I wont hold you to your answer!!!

I don't really know without knowing your symptoms and when you have the hunger. The only way to know for sure is to skip a day and see how you feel after 4.

I would hold the dose changes for about 3 days each time.

So in P3, we do need to eat a couple of servings LGI fruit?
