I just thought of something else-- Since we weren't getting any hcg like we should have, should we count this day as day 1?

    Hi Colleen!!

Can you explain to me the science behind the cocoa crack? I am in P2 and doing pretty good so far. But I keep reading about this cocoa crack and people saying that they lost more weight after eating some... is it something to do with the coconut oil? I would like to try some as I'm getting bored eating the same stuff and I'd like to have some chocolate if possible on P2. Also what is the deal with ketones and should I be testing myself for them???

    Thanks so much!!!

    Don't tempt them, Jarret! LOL

You can't have cocoa crack on P2. At least I'm not going to recommend it. That's totally Rogue and I'm a "by the book" (or manuscript) kind of girl. Any variation I would make would still have me sticking to the allowed foods.

    Grammy, I'm struggling to stabilize

I am on my fourth round, on day 13 of Phase 3. I didn't stabilize last round, so I didn't go the full 70 days between rounds. I just finished a 40 day round. I ended at 148.8 LDW and am now at 153.8 as of today. I am doing my fourth steak day today in 13 days of P3. I haven't added dairy, other than cream in my coffee. I haven't tried eggs yet either. I have been very strict with meat and vegetables, but seem to continue to go up. It doesn't seem to matter if I do a protein day, meat & veg day, etc. My weight continues to rise. I usually lose around 4 lbs. on a steak day, but after eating one day I'm right back up. Yesterday, I ate 2,048 calories. So, I believe I'm getting enough calories. I ate turkey breast, zucchini, onions, mushrooms sauteed in EVOO, broccoli, cauliflower, chicken breast, stewed tomatoes, cream, and avocado. Today, I cut out cream, which has been the only constant since I've started P3. I put coconut milk in my coffee this morning and will continue that for the next few days to really see if I am sensitive to cream, which I haven't been in the past. Also, TOM isn't a factor. I took a PG test this morning and it came back negative. Any help, or suggestions would be super helpful and appreciated. I love my size 4s and don't want to continue to go up in weight... soooo frustrating! Thank you for your help, I truly appreciate it.

So frustrating, Nicky! I agree that you should cut the cream for now and see if that drops you back. It does sound like some inflammation. Did you have hunger on your round? What hhcg did you use?

I didn't have hunger on P2 of my fourth round. I used hhcg drops. They're at home, so I would have to check. I've used the same brand for all four of my rounds. I didn't seem to have any issues stabilizing rounds one and two.

Okay that's good. I was a little concerned that you might have lost normal weight. Are you at goal now?

No, I am not at goal. I would like to be in the 130's although my friends and family say I should be done. I haven't lost all of my abnormal fat yet, this I am sure of... I have another 15 pounds to go... How should I eat tomorrow after my steak day? I seem to gain it right back, so I will cut out the cream for a couple of days and wait, but how should I eat tomorrow? I did not have a successful protein day on Tuesday, so just meat and vegetables again?

Thanks for all of your advice and help!

    Colleen,
I am on my 3rd VCLD, doing rx hcg injections, but started my TOM on 1st VCLD...I have lost each day anywhere from 1 lb to .05 lb, so that is still good, but am I correct to continue with the injections while on TOM? Last time I lost much more during the first few days, but i am hoping this is due to my TOM retaining water.

Also, I read somewhere that ppl use powdered skim milk...is this allowed and if so, could I use it in my coffee? That (and chocolate) are the two things I miss the most LOL!
    Thank you!!
