Thanks for helping others that way, Joan!

Lovelife, you might have an insulin issue. You might try eating 1/2 of an apple instead of a whole one and see if that helps. Good luck!

    Hello Grammy!

I am heading into PH 3 on Wednesday and I have read the threads and the stickys but still I do not get what/if you should count calories after the 48 hours of coming off the pellets.
My plan looks like this in terms of transition:

I have my 500 cal meals ready for today and tomorrow.

I have some new proteins to try out as well, including pork roast and lamb!

I think I should stay at 800 calories from Thursday till the weekend and then go to 1300 by next Monday.

The following Monday (week 2 of Ph 2 I should be at 1600) End of week 2, (next weekend) I will start experimenting with almond flour and coconut flour baking.

I am still confused as to why some say you should eat calorically 11X what you weigh and others say eat without counting calories, even if it is 2000-3000K

    Any advice??

    Thanks!

    Tracey

There's no reason to count calories once you come off the 500 calorie days following cessation of the hcg. it's a great idea to wait to experiment with almond and coconut flour though. I never count calories. I just watch the scale.

2,000 IU vials lasts about 10 days, correct?

Hi Grammy, me again! I'm still in P2 and I need your advice on a multitude of things. After my rash disaster and the prednisone (you were right, no issues!) all last week, I went away for the weekend for a wedding and took all my own food so I could stay POP. My cooler leaked on Saturday so I had to pitch it and that day's food - then I ate off protocol at the wedding, first cheat in 3 rounds. Made me really sick to my stomach but I know to just pick up and keep going.

Then I woke up yesterday with strep throat (probably due to prednisone lowering immunity ), so now I'm starting antibiotics today. Do you think the antibiotic will have any adverse effects?

I am retaining water like crazy with the cheat and the illness, my hands and feet are swollen and I've barely had to use the restroom the past two days. I forgot my scale so today was the first time I've weighed since Friday and I stayed the same.
    R1 (April-May 2011): Start weight 185, LIW 161.6. Stabilized very well.
R2 (Jan-Feb 2012): Start weight 170.2 (holiday binge plus loading), LIW 149.6. Stabilized perfectly by eating less than 20g carbs a day.
    R3 (April-May 2012): Start weight 154.2, LIW 136. Stabilized perfectly.
R4 (October-November 2012): Start weight 141.8 after loading, LIW 130.6. Not my SSG, but happy for the time being.

I've taken antibiotics on a round too. LOL It was the same round where I had prednisone and I lost the same. So you'll be fine!

How was it mixed? If the way it's often mixed on here, that is 200 iu which is too high and usually causes hunger. How long have you been on the diet?

Hi Grammy. I am technically in P4 about 4 1/2 weeks in, although I have stuck to P3 eating. My problem is, I still can't seem to stabalize! This is round 2 for me. My first round I did Hhcg and was able to stabalize just fine. For my second round, I did injections of Hucog and was slightly hungry the whole round. I played with my dose to try to find the "sweet spot" and was really never able to. I chalked it up to being the "round 2 blues". I have tried cutting out everything and going back to P2 eating, just more of it and slowly adding in things, but I just can't seem to get it right. My first round I could eat a ton of almonds, but now I'm thinking I might have a problem with them. I cut them out and started eating bigger breakfasts and adding cococut oil to my food and gained like crazy! Thinking I may have a problem with the coconut oil? So, I started cooking my food with butter and I still gain! I have already adjusted my LIW from 132 to 134, but am now at 138 today (am doing a correction day). It seems like now I can only get down to 136. I don't know what else to do! I do want to lose another 10 pounds and still have fat to lose. Do you think I should just do another round (this time it would be Hhcg again)? Should I just start the Leptin Reset? Thanks in advance for any input!

    Hi Grammy!

I feel like a broken record playing a really bad song!

Yesterday I was day 1 past pellets. I started the AM at 130.2, actually 1 pound under LIW. I ate my VCLD menu 100 gr ground beef with tomatoes for lunch, apple, 100 gr chick with handful of radishes (dinner)
I am up 3.0! I know my body is retaining water, but this much overnight? My wedding bands were loose last night and today I can barely pull them off.

My question is...how can you prevent the nighttime water retention?
