You don't need a steak day yet then.

SO I did the math and I am only like 1.4 over my last weight and I do a steak day if I go over 2 right???? I just want to be able to maintain.. If i can do it now then phase 4 will be a waste of my time.... i want to do another round of phase 2 because i did so well the first time, but i dont wanna lose it all over again to just have these same problems. I dont know what to eat... I increase my protein and veggies like they say and i still have gains

You do a steak day if you are MORE than 2 pounds over your LIW.You're doing fine though. It's not uncommon to have to do a steak day on occasion. I still say to cut the eggs out and see if that helps you. Some gains are normal. You're never going to stay exactly the same weight.

well i figured that... i just see all of these people on here eating and I know everyone is different so i guess i should not go on that.... I think im my own worst enemy sometimes...
So if i never maintain and just keep seeing increases even if they are small do i just keep doing steak days? Or is this considered maintaining just a little fluctuation?

You're maintaining fine. If you go more than 2 pounds over, you do a steak day. The first week is often the worse for fluctuations. But there will ALWAYS be fluctuations. Women carry a lot of water weight that goes up and down. It's normal.

I don't like exercise in P3. Too many people gain from inflammation. So I would not overdo it. I would take out eggs and try adding dairy and watch your weight. Then try the eggs again and see if you gain. The reason I'm concerned about the eggs is you said you gained 4 pounds right away in P3 and I'm guessing you had only added eggs then.

well i had turkey sausage and some peanuts but took those out right away.... and still gained and someone told me it was because i wasnt getting enough calories... so i was told to up my calories to close to 2000.... so far just small gains since then so i guess thats maintaining? what can i eat for breakfast if no eggs??? Can i have cottage cheese or yogurt? if so how much and what kind?

    Hi Grammy!

I want to first thank you for all of your kind words of wisdom and the time you take to help everyone out!!

I have two questions for you if you wouldn't mind taking a look.

I"m on VLCD15. This is my first round and I'm on HHCG. Had amazing losses my first week and only 3 pounds last week (my second week), but I also had my period which explains a lot of that and I hate to admit to you that I cheated once (on Saturday) and ate two brownies from the pan that I made my kids. So not worth it. My period was gone on Saturday however I have been at 156 (or within .3 pounds of it up or down anyway), for 5 days. I still have 15 pounds to go to get to my goal (which is a healthy and attainable weight for me). Would you recommend an apple day? What is the reason for the plateau? I've had a few people tell me (not people who do or have done HCG) that my body is in starvation mode now and that's why the scale isn't moving but I know that not to be true based on the facts of the diet...however now I'm doubting myself. Can you just explain to me again why plateaus happen? And is a 5 day stall normal? My attitude is positive and for today I am ditching the Melbas and increasing my water even more to see if that helps at all. I know this diet works so I"m not letting the stall get me down. Just want to encourage the scale to start moving again is all.

My second question is that I'm going out of town this weekend for a friend's baby shower. I am not sure how to handle this. Should I take a planned interruption or just try my hardest to stick OP? Also would protein shakes be acceptable? Seems a lot easier to put some protein powder in some bottled water than whipping out my pre-made salad and Perrier at a pool party LOL. Just socially awkward. I'm not experienced enough with the diet to know how to handle social events...I've been a hermit since starting, avoiding situations where there would be food and alcohol involved because I don't know what to do and don't quite trust myself

Thank you so much for your time!
    ~Heather
