    Ohhhh Grammy, maybe it is that dang pickle??
    I am only eating meat and veggies with lots of fat; no suspect foods. I am keeping it very simple to try and stabilize.

    Wednesday and Thursday is when I had a pickle with lunch. Thursday evening is when my tummy expanded/bloated. I gained almost a pound the next day. So I have not had a pickle since. You suggested I cut out butter over 2 full days ago now; I have been using ghee.

    Yesterday, Sunday, I had a pickle (for the first time since Thursday) with hamburger/roman lettuce for lunch. A little later, my tummy got HUGE and ouchie again. I had a dramatic gain of 2.4lbs overnight... I don't understand? A pickle is just a cucumber?

    Deb, you can't base it on that mythical 11 times thing. If you're doing all right, keep doing what you're doing.

    Pensee, I would cut out the yogurt and at more. That's not nearly enough food. If that doesn't work over about 5 days, I would up my LIW.

    Jesseca, I don't understand either but it still may be coincidence. There are several other people I know who get a big belly even just from ghee.

    Yesterday was the first time I had dairy again except for hwc in my coffee. I m also bloated & sleep very badly cause of the heat. Had ca 4 h of sleep the past 2 nights. So it might b that or inflammation cause my tummy feels off. Or my body just decided to set itself at a higher weight. I don't know.
    Had couple of plums & coffee with hwc for breakfast, 2 eggs, 1/2 can of tuna, a little gouda cheese & a salad for lunch. Some coconut 'chips', coffee & tea with hwc as snacks, and just forced myself to eat a steak & veggies with 2 eggs cooked in coconut oil for dinner. Total ca.1600 cal.
    Ll try to get some more sleep tonight & ll just force myself to ve a high protein breakfast tomorrow morning. The eating when hungry is just not working in thus weather.

    So u wouldn't try another steak day?

    Some ppl here ve miracle noodles with no issues. Others say they make them stall or gain. Had them couple of time myself. Don't think they caused me any harm for weight loss, but they made me feel bloated.
    Don't know what zevia is. Vitamin water zero is fine, do if It's also some soft drink sweetened only with stevia it shld b o.k.

    OMG. Eating so early in the morning is really hard. But if it helps me stabilize...
    Had 3 eggs with 130 g organic poultry breakfast meat and a tomato. 40 g of protein & ca. 750 cal. That was all I could force down. Feel like I ll never b able to eat again. Lol.
    Was up another 0.5# this morning. It's really scary. Slept ca. 6 h tonight although the temp went down & O took 3 mg melatonin. Don't know why I feel dead tired but still can't sleep?
    Started taking probiotics today & ordered some digestive enzymes. Hope it helps with the bloated feeling.

    I have been taking Probiotics, but just received my Digestive Enzymes today. I read that it's supposed to really help with the bloating.
    Crossing my fingers they work for us!! I can't stand this prego-looking belly EVERY TIME I eat!

    Grammy, I am totally confused, and not to sure of what I am doing... (or should do)...

    I just finished reading WLA, and really like her stand-point of only eating when hungry/stopping when full. To "Eat like a child" again, not worrying about food, would be amazing! (I was an over compulsive eater before).

    So.. I find myself in a predicament. Is forcing yourself to eat when not hungry, better than only eating when hungry? I now (sort of) understand about Leptin Levels in the blood, how your body uses/stores fat, etc...

    So, that would mean, if I am not hungry until 1pm, but force myself to eat breakfast anyways... my Leptin Levels were at a good balance (homeostasis), but when I eat without hunger, they go up even more, producing more fat cells. (I don't have the book in front of me, but I'm sure you know all about it).

    I have been trying out the "only eating when hungry" for the past few days. I have 0 hunger until 1pm-ish. I stop when I am full. Yesterday I only ate once, because I wasn't hungry again for dinner. (BTW, I LOVE not being hungry!!) The previous days I have been eating twice.

    I know you don't agree with the small amount Robin eats; but I am not eating those small amounts.
    I am eating until full, getting my calories/fats in with oils/butter, etc (usually 2300-2600 cals).

    I ve the same problem. I was following wla until yesterday. The first week of p3 U was doing really well & stable. Was also eating a little over 2000 cal. Then we went for a car trip & one evening I ate an entire container of sugar free ice cream. I was hungry BTW when I did & didn't eat more than I needed to get comfortably full. But I gained & can't really stabilize since.
    The past days were really hot here. And I just don't ve any appetite/hunger. So my cal were low (1200-1400) and my protein as well. I always ve lunch (mostly a salad with some protein) but no breakfast, since I m never hungry for it. But I did start to get hungry again around 9 p.m. And I git really hungry quite suddenly. So it really took some good to get me full. So I ate far too late & ve tummy trouble since. And ve been gaining steadyly.
    That's y I ve decided to switch to LR today. Or better to do an experiment. I am having the bab but eating according to wla the rest of the day, except that I will not eat later than 3h b4 bed, do will ve to be dinner early, hungry or not.
    The way I c it, is that since we do ve an inner clock & even clock genes that regulate our cercadian rhythm, the time we get hungry can b influenced. If u eat lunch every day at the same time, u will get hungry at this time. Physiological & not psychological hunger. Do my guess is, if I ve my 2-3 meals everyday at or around a certain time, I will get hungry for breakfast in a week or so (I managed to do that b4), cause my body will b used to it. The problem will b only with the amount LR requires u to eat at breakfast. At the moment it is far beyond what I need to feel full for a single meal. But then again, I didn't get hungry again until 2 p.m. (breakfast was at 6) and was full after some lettuce & a handful of coconut chips. So we'll c if my body also adjusts to the amount of food after a while.
    Honestly, I think a regular eating schedule (hopefully with hunger) makes more sense for real life than just following the hunger scale. I d obviously ve to adjust for hormonal cycle issues, but on the long run, It's not realistic to step out of a meeting or something cause I reached 3.5 on the scale.

    Anyway, just my thoughts. Am also very interested in Grammy's answer.

    Another question concerning LR: kruse says not ve tea/coffee with hwc or co between meals. But I found ppl here on the forum do. What do u say? Can I do LR & still ve bpCoffee or coffee with coconut milk between meals or do I ve to drink it with my meals?

    Pensee, I wouldn't do another steak day until it's been at least 5 days since the last one. If you're bloated, you're eating something you're sensitive to. and no, you can't have anything with calories in between meals if you're actually doing the LR.

    amanda, zevia is okay. Miracle noodles are eat at your own risk.

    Jesseca, if eating like that works for you, it's fine as long as you're not eating some crazy low number of calories like 800-1200. As far as I'm concerned, the jury is still out on Robin's way of eating. I'm just not sure about it. In theory it sounds great. But I worry that as your body gets used to less and less food, you will start eating so little that your metabolism starts slowing. I actually like eating 2 meals a day just fine but I eat a LOT at both meals.

    Oh I am definitely never under 2,000 calories. That's so nice to hear you eat two meals also! I was scared I was setting myself up for failure.
    May I ask what two meals you eat? Breakfast/Dinner ~Lunch/Dinner?
