    I personally would only follow Pounds and Inches. That's where long term success is found. We see this all the time. Doctors saying they have a "better" plan. Well sure it's better for them if the weight loss doesn't stick and patients end up having to go back for another round. Read Pounds and Inches for yourself, honey. Know what the protocol says. Then you can decide what you are doing.

    I'll do that. Thanks for all your help. I'm just upset that I have a vial that really is going to be no good for the last 10 days of my diet.

    Some pull their syringes and freeze them. It says right on the bottle DO NOT FREEZE but they don't seem to have had a problem with it. Trying that would be better than taking bad hcg for 2 weeks.

    Hunger & Dosing Q on prescr sublingual

    I'm on R1P2D10 and am still having hunger issues since day 3. Low blood sugar & hunger was much worse about 2 days ago and fruit seems to open the hunger flood gates unless I wait until 11 am to eat grapefruit along with drinking green tea all day. I always feel better in PM after lunch until just before bedtime. I've lost 6 lbs but feel like hunger/blood sugar issues may be interfering w/metabolism & type of fat being lost as my weight loss is slowing down by half.

    I am on prescr sublingual spray 120 IUs (x2 - spaced about 12 hrs apart). I've read on other blogs that if hunger is in AM, dose may be too high (& I thought that dose was too low in comparison to injections). In my case, I got presc from a compounding pharmacist & he won't change it as he gives same to all his clients.

    So is dosage to blame for hunger? Also, I will be switching to injections next week. Is there a transition protocol that I should follow? Thanks for your help.

    No gastric bypass. 5'6" 138lbs. Usually hover around 132. Wanted to do a Short 3 week round. I feel really bloated. Hopefully it's the water retention for one reason or other. I will wait a couple days to see what happens. My husband is doing the diet with me and dropping like a rock. MEN!!! I will report back in a few days.

    Thans Colleen.

    good morning colleen,

    i am struggling and I can't place the reason other than possibly switching allergy meds. I noticed a slight gain when I was taking Allegra but two weeks ago I switched to zyrtec and my weight is shooting up. I have put on and additional 4 pounds which is a lot for someone only 5 foot tall. Have you seen any evidence of the zyrtec and weight gain? I am eating primal and have been doing AMAZING at controlling my weight as long as I allow a 3-4 pound flex. My blood work came back from my physical and it was fantastic...with the exception of my thyroid, but I am using adrenal support for that. Even my cholesterol numbers were fantastic...so I know the primal is great for a healthy lifestyle...but the is recent weight gain...I just can't figure out how or why....my final thought is I have been perimenopausal for 9 years now. I know the body changes...do you think I need to do a round with the hcg just check my weight and body? Over all I have gained 10 pounds from my lowest weight, although if I am honest it was easier to maintain my weight at 120 instead of 116, and I was comfortable at 120. any advice or thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

    Suzy, try skipping a day of hcg and see how you feel. If better, the dose is too high. If no better, it's a bit low. I have never talked to anyone who switched mid round from spray to injections. Spray is not a common method. I would just switch over and see how you do.

    Fara, you're super close to goal so that's likely what's up. You may have lost all your abnormal fat. Have your husband take some pictures of you and look at them. We often don't see ourselves clearly.

    brick, are you getting enough carbs? I've been seeing more and more gals run into problems on primal because of not feeding their thyroid enough. You probably need thyroid medication at this point too. Adrenal support isn't going to fix the thyroid.

    other than carbs that are in veggies naturally...( no potatoes, beans, rice, pasta, bread, ) I avoid carbs. I tried to introduce them more regularly at thanksgiving with sweet potato and I had to space it out, like every 5 days or so, or I would see big weight gain.

    two years ago my TSH level was at 2.09 with the office using the .5-6.0 as their 'normal' scale. This year my reading was 1.81, using the same scale. My insurance won't pay for the more refine test of the thyroid.

    Good Morning Grammy, this is my 8th round in 3 years so I know my body. It works for me if I would just lay off the carbs in P4 and maintain but... This round , I went instead to my doctor. She prescribed it for me and sent me to a particular compounding pharmacy that gave me pre-made 1000u and supplies for 30 days. I am on day 20 with the roughest round ever and I knew something wasn't right. I'm shaky, weak and have only lost 11 lbs instead of my usual 16lbs +or - at 20 days. I am religious about staying on protocol so it isn't intake, so I did a pregnancy test on a couple of drops directly from the bottle.Negative! Question, I asked about potency for 30 days and the pharmacist assured me it was stable for 60 days. I'm not sure if I got ripped off here in Texas with a legit prescription and pharmacy or it's just old. And now I am in day 20, hungry and obviously not losing properly. Is it too late to start again, do I load? I can't call the doc or the pharmacy until Monday. Those who are skeptical saying that Hcg is just a gimmick to a starvation diet,that anyone would lose on VLCD, I am here to tell you , there is a profound difference between a starvation diet and the Hcg Protocol weight loss. Help? Do I up my intake immediately? Even if I can get Hcg Monday, do I load again? I wonder what kind of damage I may have done. What do I even say to the doctor/pharmacy. I was counting on being at least 20 pounds off this round, which isn't happening. Help?

    Hi Grammy - Is it possible that I would have to decrease my dose more than once in p2?

    Dr0707,

    I have decreased hCG more than once in a round. The hCG builds up in the system so a decrease is often needed.

    R1=31.6# lost; .548#/day average loss, 7/28/2011 LIW=137.6

    R3=13# lost; .464/day average loss; 3/16/2013 LIW=126 - age 51
