    Well said Liz!

Hello! Grammy or anyone else, can you answer a couple of questions for me please?

When coming off P2 with intentions of starting the LR, do you still do the 2 days without drops then start the LR or do you simply stop the drops (after the 21+days) and do the BAB the next day instead of weaning for 2 days.

Also, after being logged in here for a while (haven't really timed it), I become *un-logged* in somehow. So, I have to re-log in every time I want to post. Does anyone know how to fix/prevent this?

    Thanks on both counts!

Yes you must always follow the protocol until P3 starts which isn't until the hcg is out of your system. Can't help you with the log thing. I haven't run into that.

Many people in the fitness world hate the BMI thing because it doesn't take into account how much of your weight is from muscle vs. fat. I am considered overweight by my BMI, yet I wear a size 6-8 depending on the store of course. I work out a lot and have rather large muscles. Weight on the scale isn't even a good measure. I've known women who are the same height as me and weigh less, but wear much bigger clothes than me. Your best bet is to get your fat percentage calculated. The best way to do it is in a water tank, but those places are hard to find. Next best thing is calipers done by a trainer or someone who knows how to use them. According to my BMI, I'm overweight, according to my body fat %, I'm normal to fit.
I totally don't understand how a doctor can look at those numbers and ignore the person and say if they overweight, underweight, etc. Last year we went to the kids yearly...now the doctors and nurses put the bmi on their records. I was furious. I told them I didn't believe in the bmi's, but they said it is the most accurate way too determine if a child will be over weight. What happened to letting a child grow without putting a label on them? I know my youngest is heavy...but I also know his dad was exactly the same way as a child and to look at him now one would never know that. Did the paperwork say anything about my youngest being off the charts on his height for his age? NOPE...the look on my boy's face. I couldn't have hit that nurse. I know what my joe eats, it is appropriate for a child his age. No snacks, low carbs...protein, fruit and veggies...we don't have soda, and chips and candy laying around here...there is not access to that. At this time his body plumped out, clearly getting ready for a big growth spurt...I know this...why couldn't the nurses and doctor see that?

Well, it is a sore point for me. More labels, more boxes to fit kids in, more self esteem issues...the biggest reason I homeschool. Thanks for listening...and the words of encouragement.
    Now onto bigger things!

My sister and I are the same height, but her wrists are an inch bigger. Of course her bones have to weigh more... And as for women, someone the same size but an A or B cup vs me with a DD... & what about muscles. The scales they use just don't work. Congrats on the 5 kids, though. Pretty full house! I have 4 siblings myself. We are all very close. Love being a part of a big family.
great to hear your positive thoughts on a big family. It was just my sister and me...and we are not that close. My husband grew up with 5. We wanted a group. We work really hard at making sure our kids value family first.
LOL! I am so sick of the bmi thing...makes me so frustrated. My daughter is 5'3" and very busty. She weighs 125 and we wear the same size jeans now. I am 5'1" ( on a good day) and none existent on the bust area. Yet, the doctor was cautioning me about her weight. LOL! Get a grip! I use to love that office...now it is all about the numbers and not the people. I LONNNNNGGGG to find a good doctor who sees people and not numbers again....

Brick, I know how you feel. You can't go by those stupid charts, you have to consider the size of your frame. Those charts don't mean anything. I was watching the doctors show, and they had a lady on to find out her bmi, and had her get in this pool and they had somekind of scale hooked on her, and she had to let all her air out, and her feet were fastened in the end of the pool and then she would go under the water and they measure it. They said that is the only way you can measure it. Just like my son when he was 14 and all the girls were taller than him, he was 4'9" and they tried to tell me he was small like his dad and he will shoot up like he did. Well I didn't like their answer, so Igloo him to a endocrinologist and he did a growth chart on bothsides of the family and guess what he had hypo-pituitarism. He said that he needed grroth hormones injections everyday. If he would not have had those injections he said he would stay that way forever. He took the injectionsfor 2 yrs. and he is 5'11" today. So they don't know everything. Just like my doctor was all for hcg, and noe this time I go in and says"are you still on that crazy diet", I said gee that's not what you said before. He said he looked on the Internet about it, and its not good for you the FDA doesn't aprove it. I told him I don't care what they say about it. The Fda doesn't like vitamins and supplements, but you tell me to take them. I feel fine and don't have a problem. I said they should worry about the meat industry, the chemicals, and the drugs they approved then find out years latter they are bad for you( a little to LATE). Well I'm done now venting!

There is so much guilt with being a mother. for me, naturally, it is ten fold. LOL! I worry all the time...did I totally screw my kids up by homeschooling? There use to be a time when you cultivated a relationship with your doctor...those days are gone for the most part. I worry for my oldest that seems like he would rather do anything but eat. He finds strong food smells upsetting. I worry for my 9 year old...I pray he truly grows into his height. I look at my 14 year old boy and he is so physically different than his other siblings..and people always comment about that...I worry he will develop a thing about it. ( mind you he looks like my side of the family, while the rest look like my husband's) I worry for my daughter, the only girl. I want to boys to treat her well, so she will expect all the men in her life to treat her well. I worried that while I dieted that she wouldn't grow to hate her body while I tried to hide the fact I hated mine. When a bmi says my 14 year old trim, muscular young man is considered overweight?! It just drives me crazy. When a nurse or doctor doesn't have the foresight to NOT say it out loud to a child...it makes me beyond crazy. What is wrong with these people? Do they have so much unhappiness they must spread it to kids too?

I know we as hcg users have taken our own health into our hands and in many cases without the support of a doctor or sometimes family. When we see the successes that we have seen, and yet so many of our professional health folks warn you against...it makes you question the medical community. I don't want to be an alarmist. I don't want to think that there is some great conspiracy trying to keep people sick...but sometimes, just sometimes, you have to wonder where these folks are living? Who is paying their salary and why are they pushing pills and fear so much. As a homeschooler I try to get my kids to THINK. Not repeat and follow. I want them to question everything...I want them to think. I guess events like this with the bmi remind me that I must practice what I preach...I need to remember to THINK and not get so wrapped up in what the 'professionals' think....

crazy! But he would say something about a 10 pound gain....

I miss my obgyn...he had the old doctor mentality..never had a doctor like him...can't find another any ways close to him...he left the practice and went into research.

Did you mention it to him, Carry? When I went to see my doctor, I stood up and spun around. I've lost 50 pounds, I told him. LOL Then I told him all about just how I did it. LOL He was very interested and astonished.

My doctor thought it was great 3 months ago, when I told him about it. He thought I looked fantastic. This time after investigating the program, he thinks that its bad. But he likes the results, and says he is learning a lot from me. As soon as they find out its against the """, they start acting different. Even though your lab tests improved big time. They don't like it because if everything is good they don't have anything to treat.
