    Eggs aren't dairy but butter and cream are, though they're mostly fat. They still contain a little casein and lactose. Even ghee which is supposed to be free of casein affects people who truly have a food intolerance to it. The only way to know if you have a problem with them is to try them.

    Well, eggs aren't dairy as far as I know, so we're good there lol! Unless I'm missing something.... And butter and hwc are the exceptions. But it should be butter from grass fed cows with no hormones or antibiotics used. I think the reasoning is, butter and cream have little to no lactose so they don't cause the same issues as other dairy like regular milk or cheese. So they get the green light. But the way I see it, if you can handle dairy,go for it. I'm kind of like a recovering alcoholic with cheese, so it's best I stay away in case I fall off the wagon. Yogurt is considered ok because it has beneficial bacteria that help the gut and keeps things going right down there. Plus greek yogurt has almost 20gms of protein per serving so it's a really good protein source.

    Thanks for the insight ladies. I am not sure how I react to what, lol. I have only had walnuts twice, no other nuts, and no cheese, eggs didn't seem to matter, as I skipped them for 5 days. I do love Fage, everything about it, but will try to stay away for at least 2 or 3 days to see I notice anything there. God forbid I drop HWC! I have tried to reduce it down a bit. Anyway, I ate all of these things every day for months after my first round, with no issues, so maybe I won't find anything and my weight just wants to be higher.... I stabilized in P4 at about 122.7, which was 3.5 over my ldw, but in P3, I never was above 1lb over ldw. After months of P4, and a little bit of chocolate here, and a little bit of ice cream there, gained another 3 lbs, so hence the round 2. Fage was a main staple of my diet, so hope it isn't that.... I might just have to mix it up a bit more, like Brick has suggested.

    I am reading Patty's stuff and thinking how from month to month everything can be different. Last month I got as low as 115...I have NEVER been that low and I didn't even try. I ate lots of protein, had the occassional nuts and yogurt...this month I am right around 118. Eating the same things in the same ways...with the exception of maybe not as much protein being distracted with the oldest. I think back on the idea of not being over 2 lbs guideline and how much anxiety it causes...I am not interested in living my life obsessed with food and what it does, but I am interested in learning how to eat the healthiest and being happy. KWIM? Just when I think I know what i can eat, the next month it is bad...so my theory of mixing it up seems to be the best...for me...at least...but something to keep in mind. I am not happy at 118 right now...because I hit 115...which is CRAZY because 118 is still within the 2llb guideline....so then it is back to the guideline thing...I am trying to keep it in the back of head, but not let it rule my life. Last night the hubby said to me I was food obsessed...not like eating as much as possible but thinking about what I can and can't eat...LOL! Ok...so maybe sometimes I go off the deep end in my quest for knowledge...Perhaps a sign from the spirits it is time for me to relax and enjoy life...and like Patty reminded me.... it won't be long before my kids are gone and the house will be quiet...so it is time I relax about them making me crazy, when in truth it is mostly likely my expectations making more crazy than their actual behavior...whick when you think about it applies to my weight thing too....

    Brick, woody the groundhog in Michigan who has been Proven right nine years out of thirteen, said we are having early spring. It is sunny and cold today in30s but no snow.

    Awesome! i could use some good news like that....I normally hate to see winter go, but this is the first winter I have been thinner since my 20's and I am having a difficult time keeping warm, so I am looking forward to warm weather...although...there is nothing better than sleeping in the winter...love my feather blankets...

    Well, funny to hear that we have dueling groundhogs! And there is nothing better than feather blankets. I have to sleep with my sliding glass doors in my bedroom wide open in the winter, so I can use them, and in the summer, forget about it! Usually not to hot, cause we are near the beach, so no air needed, but no feather blankets, that is for sure! Brick, loved the "Deep thoughts". Can we count on that on a daily basis? Yeah, kids are gone very quickly. Time goes way too fast! Enjoy the bickering! Then it's quiet.... Hey, was driving around today, when 2 Journey songs came on the radio, so who does that make me think of?

    Have a great afternoon ladies. No stressing over lbs! (Had tuna for lunch, so I guess I am stressing a little over the Fage, just in case...) Oh, but moving on to my coffee with HWC, so not stressing that much!

    Question..one I have not been able to find the answer for...So eat with in 30 min of getting up...Do I have to finish my food with in the 30 min's of start eating with in the 30 min's??

    LMAO! That is too funny! I love it...Sometimes nothing hits the spot like a good Journey song...it usually sends the kids running out of the kitchen when I have it cranked up....

    Deep thoughts? Me? those come few and far between...but when they do I let them out. LOL! I am in a weird mood. Dissatisified with the regular routine..I need a new thing..a project as I said before...going tomorrow to get a real professional haircut. My hair is long, nearly to the top of my jeans when I try to straighten it. ( thanks to perimenopause my normally straight hair has gone all crazy and wavy) I decided I needed a "me" day...The last time I had my hair cut, professionally, was almost a year ago...so I figure it is a good time to steal away some time from the kids and do something for me. I will keep it long, but I need some layers in to take advantage of the wave. VERY much looking for a little me time. Perhaps I will listen to my Journey cd on the way over....LOL!
