    How's it going Grammy???

Are you finished with the 30-day round you recently started? If so, how's it going?

I was in your neck of the woods a couple of weeks ago (just passing through), when I briefly stopped at the Meijer store in Warsaw on a drive from Fort Wayne to Chicago. In my mind, I was actually hoping I'd run into and recognize you in the store

Boy you WERE close! Wabash is only about 30 min from Warsaw. I was there last night for dinner. LOL I get to Ft Wayne quite often though. Our son and his family live on the south side of Ft Wayne.

Round is over! I only lost 12 pounds but I think it was discontinuing my thyroid meds at the beginning. When you mess up the beginning and don't lose that initial big amount, it affects the entire round for me. But at least now I know don't cut out your thyroid meds! LOL I'm doing the Always Hungry plan right now to try to drop the rest of the weight I'd like to lose slowly over the next couple of months. I have too much travel to do another round until at least January so I thought I'd do this for now. I'm doing it with berries rather than any of the beans as the slow carb to keep it paleo. I feel pretty good on it and I've lost 2 pounds which isn't' huge but if it continues I'll be happy. Even 5 pounds a month would thrill me. LOL

Wow, my brother and his family live near that HUGE Lutheran Hospital in Ft. Wayne, and I was on the south side when I flew in to the airport.

Please let us know how Always Hungry works for you, so we can possibly recommend it to others who may need a way to lose additional pounds without having to do more rounds.

I am curious how you did as well @grammy1952 , I have the book Hormone Fix, and was going to try it next, but would like to know if I should get the Always Hungry book as well

I'm doing ok. Lost about 5 pounds even with the travel. My biggest challenge right now is that something happened to my left knee and I've been in terrible pain and barely able to hobble for about 3 weeks. I saw my orthopedic guy last week after we got back from AZ and he said I'm going to eventually need a knee replacement. WHAT? LOL But he wouldn't do anything about the pain until I have an MRI to see what a little lump on my thigh is. It's likely a cyst or lipoma, but he didn't want to mess with anything until he's sure it's not serious. I get an MRI on tues and see him again on Thurs and am hoping for a steroid shot in it, even though I hate steroids. But I have a big writers conference next week and I'd like to NOT be on a scooter like last year.

The Hormone Fix is something I haven't heard of. Let us know what you think of it!

Hi Grammy! so sorry to hear about your knee. I hope they figure out what’s wrong and get you on your way to a recovery (and hopefully not a replacement!). Almost Hungry is what Jayk and I both were asking you about. You posted that you were following that plan and we were hoping you would give us an update on how it’s working for you and how you like it. I bought the book and am considering trying it for P4.

So sorry to hear about the knee pain. I know how debilitating that can be. And replacement? Yikes. Praying against needing that for sure.

DH has had those steroid shots in his knees. The relief lasted a couple months, but after the third time, they didn't work for him anymore. I have heard some good things about a stem cell based treatment for knee pain that has helped a lot of people. I think it can't be a bone on bone problem though. There has to be some cartilage there to work with. Maybe something to look into and see if you are a candidate.

Oh I will check that out, Leez! Thanks so much for the advice and especially the prayers! I do have some cartilage. My knee has started twisting so I'm doing exercises to strengthen the muscles to hold it in place. They are helping some but it's still a struggle to hobble around.

Yes I did, at least following loosely but not sticking to it exactly since I had travel going on through that time.
