Normal to have no hunger at all?

Is it normal to have absolutely zero hunger at all? And in fact when you do force yourself to eat, you feel just disgusted. I don't know if it's because I have literally eaten the exact same thing every single day since September 3 and the thought of semi dry chicken breast and a cucumber or some steamed asparagus just repulses me or what. That's only mainly when I'm eating though. I actually forgot to eat until the very end of the day. Tonight I just threw out half of my second meal. Yesterday I didn't even eat a second meal. I'm in my last few days so it's not supercritical I don't think, but I've never done a long round Before and I was just wondering if that's what ends up happening. And is it bad that I'm basically eating almost nothing. I don't even eat my apple a day anymore.

    Just curious.

    Thanks!

I usually have zero hunger as well, but I know eating is required if I want to lose. On P2 I find myself being super-creative with the allowed foods in order to get variety and delicious foods; so much so that I could be on the TV Show Chopped- The HCG Foods Edition.

Just power through and remember why you are doing this and the great results you'll have in the end, Think of the "prescribed foods" as your medicine for healing.

Its common (and wonderful) to have no hunger at all on HCG. Some even get to a point of food aversion and have to be inventive in how to get their 500 calories in.

But as sdwis said, the diet is a delicate balance and those few calories you get every day is an important part of the formula. If you really are put off by chewing, for instance, try making a soup out of your meal ingredients and puree it.

I don't lose well when I get super creative on this diet. If I do shrimp ceviche, for example, I go up slightly. I did that on my last two rounds and I did not do it this round because I wanted maximum results. I do use vinegar occasionally and other spices, As well as lemon. And I don't combine vegetables either because you're not supposed to do that on the strict protocol. So I love that a lot of you guys are able to be creative but I just really wanted a more steady experience this time and I really wasn't getting that the last two times. I didn't really start feeling aversive to food until this last week. Thanks for the support though, I appreciate it!

Hi Kim. I started this round (#3) with very poor/no losses and was just not wanting to eat, somewhat like you describe. 200-350 cals a day is not good. Found out that my dose was off and now that I have fixed that, things are a little better. Doing 31 days this round, but not sure I could go longer, even if I wanted to. Dry chicken is not appealing - you're right. I try to dress it up with Walden Farms Honey Dijon salad dressing - it helps me. I know that dressing has all kinds of chemicals to make it no calories and no fat, but it helps me in P2 and I NEVER eat it any other time, so I figure a few weeks out of the year won't hurt me long term I also found that making sure I got my fruits in, even if I didn't "want" them, was good for me. I cut up strawberries and eat them slowly with a fork over an hour or so and I'm able to eat them. Same with the apple. Cut it up and just snack on it for a while. I know some people dress up the apple with cinnamon too... Good luck coming down the home stretch - cheering you on!

Thanks so much for the encouragement! I am on day 35 today and can't believe it! I think that's part of the reason I hit the wall. But I am 136.4 today and I started (pre-load) at 156.8. So my strategy definitely worked this time. No creativity for me! 😄 It's time to quit though. I really wanted to hit 135 but I have events coming up and I really want to stabilize really well before the holidays so I can plan to have a few select treats that I love. Best wishes on your journey as well!

Actually I do have another question. I tended to lose a bit more after I stopped, in the P3 phase. Maybe like 5 pounds. Is that bad? I know he says you have to stay within 2 lbs of I think your last shot weight. Can o get some thoughts on that?

Sounds like you are making a good decision to stop and prepare for your events. I am a firm believer that planning ahead like that goes a long way to making your round and stabilization a success!

I also lost a few pounds after I stopped P2 each time. I didn't try to, it just happened. I was eating until full and eating a lot of calories, so I didn't worry about it too much - especially since I had multiple rounds planned anyway I figured my body was just trying to get to an old set point or something. So if you have weights you had been at for, that could be it. In P3/P4, I just pay attention to my hunger and stop when I'm full. I also continue tracking my food so that I make sure to eat ENOUGH. Hard habit to break after decades of the opposite But, I'm so glad it works!

Congrats at your great loss this round! Happy stabilizing!

My creativity is done by using lots of different seasonings on my chicken breast (blackened, jerk, curry, lemon pepper, garlic herb, cajun, cooked in a smoker), chicken and fennel stir fry, beef & asparagus stir fry, beef & onion stir fry i.e. fajitas, grilled onions, crumbled ground beef & lettuce wraps, french onion soup, no sodium beef or chicken broth. I can also eat any of the allowed seafoods crab, lobster, fish, scallops - except shrimp which also cause me to stall unless it's during week 1 of VLCD. My best losses of at least 1 lb. always seem to occur on the days I have a lobster tail for lunch and a piece of beef (94% lean burger, cube steak, filet mignon, or eye of round) for dinner, even during the last week of VLCD to break a stall of at least 3-4 days.

I also have my limitations as well. I stall from tomatoes, grapefruit, strawberries, spinach, chard, cabbage

I love those ideas. I actually stall with cabbage and tomatoes too. I do have some super lean bison cubed beef that I should've used but I cooked it with tomatoes last time and it stalled me. I could've done that onion stir fry. And I never thought of onion soup. I did chicken and asparagus stir fry almost every day for 3 weeks straight with tons of different spices. I will definitely keep your ideas in mind if I do another round! Thanks!
