Anyone notice heart palpitations with the introduction of Carbohydrates

I have been low carb for nearly a decade, but not i have realized that I am carb sensitive and started to do carb cycling in order to be able to introduce carbohydrates without drastic weight gain (similar program to FMD) but I and a co-worker, who has always been low carb as well, we are both experiencing heart palpitations since we started.

    We are eathing NO GLUTEN.

I went to the ER this weekend and was given the green light on everything and said they are stress related. I find it odd that I and the coworker are experiencing this after starting eating carbs again.

Anyone have something similar happen? I am maintaining my weight and she is losing a lot so I can't imagine its bad for us.

Is it possible our bodies are so not used to this after years of being low carb?

I'd guess your thyroid and adrenals are doing better with the added carbs and there can be some heart palpitations as that levels out. I've never heard anyone have this issue but it's possible.

There are a couple of supplements that calm down heart palpitations you can try:

    GABA (an amino acid)
theanine (the stuff in green tea--often used to combat coffee jitters)

I'm experiencing that symptom in relation to weaning off a med, and those help. The GABA ( about 1000mg) makes a difference for me within about 20 minutes.

Caffeine, like Grammy said, and anxiety/stress cause me to have them. I noticed when I cut down on amounts of coffee they weren't very noticeable if at all

I have gotten them for years. I have narrowed it down to processed carbs with fats.
