    Thyroid Labs/Tests

    Hello all,

I am newly registered to this site, but have relied on it for two rounds of HCG, so thank you all.

My question is, will my normal thyroid lab results be skewed because I am currently on HCG? I have my normally scheduled labs next week (as I test quarterly due to Hasimoto's) and I don't want to tell my doctor I am doing the HCG diet.

    Thank you all!!

If you are taking RX HCG it definitely can change the results. Mine TSH and T4 levels were higher when I did my labs in Sept. while being on HCG. They say it is a natural booster and also takes about 4-6 weeks to fully clear your system.

Thank you! Thatís what I was thinking since Iíve seen a lot about how HCG is a natural thyroid booster in these threads. I guess Iíll just have to tell my Doc (anti-HCG doc) so she doesnít bump my script down. I appreciate your response. Have a great day!

Yep. Mine got bumped down and I wasn't thinking about HCG at the time but she also added testosterone so I decided to take a break until I am stabilized hormone wise.

You could just cancel the appt and wait until after. the office probably won't call and ask about it. But yes, it definitely will affect your results. It's a waste of money to do it when on hcg. In fact, I usually have to take less thyroid meds when on hcg.
