    Time to wait between rounds

I did a round in July and September and down 15- 17 pounds. How long should I wait before beginning the next round?

It depends on which round you are on. If this was your second round, the waiting time is 8 weeks (including the 3 weeks of P3)
    Round 1: 6 weeks
    Round 2: 8 weeks (2 mo)
    Round 3: 12 weeks (3 mo)
    Round 4: 20 weeks (5 mo)
    Round 5: 24 weeks (6 mo)

Leez, is the timing the same, whether you use prescription or hhcg?

Yes. Waiting times are the same. The body needs that time to adjust and regroup.

Lots of mysterious things are happening during those P3 times and beyond. I think its wise to trust that Dr. Simeons knew what he was talking about in regards to how the protocol works best.

    Hi Leez,

A former coworker of mine has been doing hcg for about 5 years, and does a round once every 6 months to lose about 20 lbs she keeps regaining. Do you see any issues as long as it's 6 months between rounds?

That should be safe, but its right on the edge of being too soon. So she wouldn't want to make the interval any shorter than that. If she isn't having to use a low dose, it would seem to be working for her. A lower dose needed would be a caution that would suggest longer waiting times are needed..

We generally say that if its been a year since your last round, it is the same as starting over with round 1.

She says she always uses the same dose 150iu maybe sometimes down to 125iu the last week of a long round, and has never had any hunger or poor loss issues.Says she also always has had successful stable P3's too.

The bad eating is usually triggered around summer vacations and the Winter holidays where she just seems to "fall off the wagon" and stop weighing combined with eating a lot of junk (candy, cookies, ice cream, chips, soda) at around the 4 month mark.

The next thing she knows she's gained 15-20 lbs after a couple of months of this behavior.

Sounds like its working for her then. Of course, the optimum is to figure out how not to get in the predicament so often.
