Yes, yet another post about hunger! (R4 VLCD 4)

Hi Grammy, and all her little helpers! I'm doing round 4 of hcg because I could NOT stabilize after during P3 of my last round. Kept gaining and gaining, then finally gave up trying and reverted to old and bad habits.

I am using prescribed Hcg from a compounding pharmacy through my holistic doctor. I've diluted 5,000IU with 10CC of Bac water. My doc told me to inject .35cc (into my upper outer thigh - is this were others do it?). This was the same dose I had done on my previous rounds as well, but for some reason I am now hungry all day. At times I am very hungry, but for the most part it's a continuous hunger throughout the day. Not ravenous, but the kind where you feel a gnawing at your stomach. Not sure I described that well enough. It's just hunger enough to make me think of food too much, and that isn't what I want to be thinking about. Anyway, called my doc today, and she suggested I up my dose to .40cc Does this sound right? Is that too much? I don't know how to figure out how much that is in Hcg lingo (125, 150 175...) I feel like a total n00b! It's like I've never done this before. And on top of that I'm worried I won't stabilize again in P3. My last round I was 124lbs and I"m now up to 154. DRAT!!! Trying not to hate/blame myself but it's really hard not to... Please Grammy, any help would be more than appreciated.

that dose is too high. She put you on 175 which is too high for most. I would skip your shot today and then lower it to 125. The more rounds you do, the less hcg you need.

Thank you Grammy!! I had a look on your website before I went to bed last night and saw that I was in fact on 175. And she wanted to bump me up to 200?!?!?! I would be noshing on my couch if I did that! I'm taking your advice and skipping today and then injecting only 125. Thank you again for your wisdom. Just a quick question, though. When you injected did you do in in your inner or outer thigh, or in your belly? Where do most people inject, do you think? Which place is better?

The belly is the usual spot we inject. With an insulin needle it doesn't really matter. It's not going to get into the muscle on the thigh. I personally think it is easier and pretty painless in the tummy.

I will try that tomorrow when I inject again. Always did it in the outer thighs and alternated legs, but belly would be easier. As I got thinner and lost the fat on the outside of my thighs I think I got it into the muscle because injections would be "ouchier" than when I had more "padding" but I might have just been imagining it. Does it matter if it doesn't get into the muscle? I remember reading that injecting in muscle vs. fat is only slightly more effective, but not really that big a difference in the end, maybe a pound or two. I wish I had saved that url. Anyway, thank you so much for your advice. You are a Godsend!

An insulin needle really can't get into the muscle. And the muscle shots Dr. Simeons did were into a different muscle in the butt.

I'll try to inject in belly tomorrow. Do you have a certain area you stick to? Like near the belly button, or on the side? I've never tried i there so not sure where to jab. Also, I feel SSSOOOOO much better now that I skipped my injection today! Not an inkling of hunger. Thank you for that. This is how being on Hcg should feel.

We usually inject about an inch or so out from the navel on either side. Glad you're feeling better!
