An avatar is displayed next to each post you make in the forum, an avatar can either be a picture of you or something that represents you.
1. Click on Settings at the upper right of the page
2. Click on Edit Avatar along the left hand side of the page
3. Select Use Custom Avatar and then either upload a picture from your computer or a link to a picture on the internet
4. Click Save Changes
