Thread: Adding A Signature

I made a change to my signature and now I can't get my ticker back...getting the same error message but other folks have tickers in signature. I wonder why it changed?

Hold tight...some forum changes are coming soon. No one can add links to their signatures at the moment. I'm sure it will be sorted in the coming updates.

Best not to edit signatures currently, or you'll lose whatever links you have in there now.

Try using just the direct link to the image (starts with http: and ends with an image code, probably .jpg or .gif ) Wrap the link in the BBcode image tags like this and see if it works for you:

[IMG]direct link to image[/IMG]

There's a workaround to continue to display the image for your ticker in your signature...

You can no longer click to your ticker from your signature. You have to go to the ticker site directly, but at least you can update your signature and show your ticker.

Use just the image URL (it probably ends in .png). That URL needs to be surrounded by IMG tags.

If you click the "Insert Image" icon and enter the URL for the image it should add the proper tags. Basically the code you'll see in your signature is [ IMG ] before the URL and [ /IMG ] after the URL, but without the spaces between the brackets.

I cannot get my signature tape to appear. I've tried two sites and all it does it put the "paste" code on there. I've tried every code. Not sure why I can't figure this out. Am I missing something?

Yes, you are missing that you have to post the code within the image tags, so like this:

Ignore the HTML title...I had to do that to show the BBcode tag you need.

You can try using the whole piece of the code marked BBCode under the Forums tab. It may or may not work. If it does, when you want to edit, you'll be able to access the lilyslim login page by clicking your signature image.
