I cheated yesterday I'm up 1.6 My friends asked me to go shopping at a few stores 45 min away. I should have planned better because I knew it would be hard for me. I get really overwhelmed by shopping and it takes my energy away. We were gone for 5 hours! Part of the shopping was at this grocery outlet so I had to walk by all this food for like an hour I was just exhausted and feeling a bit deprived by the end of it. I'm an introvert too so while I like being around others, I need my me time afterwards to recharge. So it was a long day and I should have planned better in terms of bringing water and an apple. So last night it started with adding a non p2 sauce to my chicken then I had a big slice of cheese pizza, some cheetos, a few gummi bears, and a small brownie sundae. I'm a little bummed but what's done is done. I just going to focus on staying on plan. I only have a few more days of p2 left and I'm hoping to be at least 178.0 by the end of it. Emotional eating is something that I've struggled with for the past few years. I'm going to focus on the positive and remember that this is the first time I've emotionally ate since the beginning of May so that is an improvement.

Hi christinej96, I remember you from my first round. We must have been on the same monthly thread.

    Welcome bini

Dangit - had my whole post almost done and somehow deleted it with one move of my hand!

Welcome Christine and Bini! Glad to have you around with us, it will be nice having support in a thread dedicated to cycling.

Sounds like we've all struggled with cheating this week! For me, it started with a half cup of angel hair pasta. Turns out I am definitely sensitive to it and not only did I gain and retain, I also felt physically ill for a couple of days and had MASSIVE uncontrollable cravings. The next day I made sure to only cheat with P3 friendly options like a bunch of almonds and my favorite salad dressing, and the following morning I didn't gain but I didn't lose. Yesterday I was almost perfectly back on protocol with the exception of 5 almonds. Lost 2.4 today! It is so motivating for me to finally see a loss on the scale after a cheat. It reminds me why I am here and putting myself through this temporary misery. The truth is, I would much rather be miserable for 100 days (total, not all at once) or however long I need to be on VLCD than be miserable for my whole life being fat and sick from eating things that are poison to my body. I think many of us here tend to be emotional eaters and I would challenge anyone who says HCG is taking the easy way out. This is not easy. The HCG keeps us from being hungry, but we have to battle our emotional demons as well as the scale and it is NOT easy. Today, I think I'm ready to get through the day without a crutch. We've all cheated, and we're all going to make the choice to be better today, right? Right.

Oh and Lisa - you asked about my FitBit, I got a FitBit One, it is one that you clip on your bra. I didn't want the wrist one and had heard it wasn't as accurate. I love my little bit!

Great to hear I'm not alone, this definitely is helping me stick to it. For some reason I've been very nervous about starting p2 again in 9 days! . That will make it 21 days in p3. What did you guys load on? And for 1 or 2 days. I can't make up my mind. Can I load on sugars/ starches? Should I stay away from that and just eat more p3 foods for the load. Gawsh! I don't know. Any experience/advice out there from my fellow cycles?

Had a tough day today but stayed on plan. I was so tempted to cheat again, but I know it's not worth it at all. I'm hoping to be in the 170's soon. It would be great to wake up to but I'm not sure I'm there yet. I'm moving to p3 on Friday and staying for a few days and then moving back to p2. I'm a teacher and school starts 8/19. I went through my clothes tonight and I need to lose about 10 lbs for them to fit. This is all stuff I bought weeks ago at a consignment store. I gave away all my school clothes from last year because they were too big. I try to buy smaller size things that look nice when I come across them. I don't want to pay that much for stuff that I'll wear for only a few weeks/months. I buy things from Old Navy too when they have sales. I can't wait until I'm at my goal and then I'll buy nice clothes

bini, I try to focus on fats when I load. But, I do love chocolate and sweets so I have some of those as well. I try to think of everything that I know I'll miss having for a while and eat that, lol.

I hope we all wake up with big losses tomorrow

Awesome job on your losses Lisa415. Fight your temptations it's not worth it. I have been fighting my sweet tooth for a week now! I love that you are excited for nice clothes. I am too. To be able to walk into a store and buy something because I like it and not because it hides my unpleasant areas well. I actually bought about three nice things that I would like to wear when I lose more weight. I hang it in my closer for motivation and sometimes it really helps to keep me on track. I would totally recommend this. 8 more days until p2!!

Oh guys, I feel like such a failure!! I'm going to have to stop cycling for awhile. The timing for this round just wasn't good at all! I barely have any drops, maybe a week's worth. I'm flat broke and have about 2 days worth of food for my eating and no groceries for my family. So add those two together, and I'm just going to stop now, eat my two days worth and eat P3 until I can cycle for real. I think I jumped into this out of desperation because the scale was moving up.

The funny thing is that I get annoyed when people comment on my willpower, but it really does take willpower, doesn't it? I'm at the end of a tough semester, flat broke, and out of drops and food. I'm just gonna have to do this when the timing is right.

I'm sure I'll still stick around the board though.

Christine you are not a failure! You've lost so much and done really well. Life happens, we all understand that! Sometimes you just have to take a break and then get back on the horse when the timing is a little better. I've been there before, after my first round I tried twice to start back on a new round and failed miserably both times. I just wasn't ready and that was ok! Stick to P3 and keep up with your daily weigh ins to make sure you don't gain it back! We'll be here when you're ready to start again. <3

Lisa, you can do it! Be strong. If you do cheat, try to keep it to one bite and really savor it. If I give myself more than one bite I have a tendency to binge/make myself sick. Trying to break those destructive habits these days.

Bini, loading on P3 foods high especially in fat is ideal, but many of us eat carbs and gorge on all the things we will miss most on P2. Any weight gained during loading should be mostly water weight and drop off in the first couple days.

    Good luck this week y'all!

Thanks qwinne! I really needed to her that. I'm confident in what I am gong to do now.
Christinej96 don't worry, life happens and we all have struggles but you will recover from this and get back on the wagon. P3 will be good for you with everything going on. I tend to eat when I'm stressed. Might as well eat on p3 and not gain.

Thank you so much for the encouragement guys! I had a hard time this morning with the back and forth about this plan. I actually put the drops in my mouth and then spit them out, that's how conflicted I was. But I know that the timing is wrong. I wasn't mentally prepared and that's huge for me. I jumped back on the bandwagon without having my ducks in a row. I'll be back and I'm pretty sure that I'll be cycling when I do come back.

Christine, stopping for now is not failure. The timing has to be right for this diet to work. I'm sure you'll be back before you know it. You don't have that far at all to go before you reach your goal.

Qwinne and bini, thanks for your encouragement, I really appreciate it. I think tomorrow I'll be back to where I was before I cheated. I'm praying to be 179 something. Tomorrow will be my LIW so I'm really focusing on having a good number. I did learn from this cheat though. I learned that I have to pay really close attention to my emotions and take care of myself so that I don't get overwhelmed and stress eat. I also need to work on having other strategies for dealing with overwhelming feelings besides food. I did have fun with my friends on Friday, but I decided not to have a trip like that where we're gone for hours, around food, and all in one car (so I can't leave when I want to) while I'm on hcg. It's just too stressful. It's one thing to slip up and emotionally eat, but during the hcg diet it just messes things up for days and that is so not worth it.

I completely agree with you Lisa415 on keeping yourself away from "food" inclusive situations. It's hard, but once it's over and you don't cheat you feel so good and proud of yourself. I messed up,a few times having a friend over. But remember most of the time those people are already in shape and can afford to eat it. I can't, which really sucks! But hey that's why we are on the hcg diet right? To lose the weight and be able to once in awhile eat something not on the list and not gain a bunch of weight. Well good luck on your days tomorrow and push through.lets make it another week!

Today's my last injection until sometime next week. Can't wait to be in p3 on Friday. My LIW is 180.0. It's funny because my LIW has always been a weight that ends in a zero even though my scale has .2 increments, coincidence
