    Hi Cyclers!

I decided to put my 2 cents in. I started R2 8 days ago. I decided to cycle by skipping P4 in R1 because I didn't have a huge loss in R1 - only 10 lbs using Rx sublingual spray. I had extreme hunger and blood sugar issues in R1. I gained 3 lbs after starting P3 and surmise that it was because of those hunger issues and losing the wrong kind of body fat. I switched to injections and all I can say is OMG - what a difference! I had no hunger issues in the beginning of this round.

One thing I did notice is that those 3 lbs did not settle in my body the way I'm used to and while doing P3, my shape was beginning to change for the better. I did resume working out (I only did weights about 1-2x/wk - no cardio in R1).

For those of you who are questioning whether or not to do loading, I did but stuck mostly to P3 fatty foods (only treat was peanut M&Ms on R2D1). I remember reading somewhere that loading is not necessary when cycling from P3 to P2 especially if you've become fat adapted (which was my case) and think that maybe I didn't have to load at all.

I skipped today's injection and am doing a fat fast today. I'm a roguer too and am experimenting since I'm working out more but no strenuous cardio as I do have blood sugar issues if I push it too hard in P2. My calories/day are 700 give or take (I am working out in this round which I wasn't doing in R1 because of hunger). BTW, I actually enjoyed P3 and am contemplating living the LCHF lifestyle as I was getting used to no cravings, sleeping like a baby and my energy was great during workouts.

I'm doing something slightly different in this P2: I'm not weighing myself. (I have a thing for delayed gratification - LOL!) As a matter of fact, I haven't weighed myself since R2D1 (171 lbs after D1 load). I think it's because I had to answer to someone in R1 and I didn't like going on the scale everyday. I think it made me obsessive and I don't like being in that kind of head space. So I'm not sure when I will hop on the scale - maybe Sunday morning as I'm starting injections tomorrow (Saturday) again.

Love to read your thoughts and opinions and I agree, let's keep this cycling thread going!

omg I can't believe it, I got my period today My cycles are very irregular and I was not expecting this. I'm probably not going to start today because I read that you shouldn't do hcg when on your period- or is that just outdated advice that no one listens to anymore? My last injection was 11 days ago so I'm getting close to having to load again if I wait much longer. You have to load after being off hcg 14 days, I think?

MySmoochy, your plan looks good to me. I say whatever you are comfortable with is fine.

SuzyQQ, I'm not going to weigh either. So many times I'm either exilirated or depressed by the scale and I don't want the emotional ups and downs when as long as you stay on plan the up/stall is water and you are still losing. I know that the weight will come off and this round I'd rather just go by how my clothes are fitting.

    Hi Lisa,

Your period actually came at a good time! I'm pretty sure that you should be cycling after 3 weeks on P3, not 2. Keep maintaining your weight on p3 and enjoy the extra fat you're allowed.

I think the no hCG/period thing is mostly outdated, however I wouldn't want to start hCG again on the day of so I think you might be better off waiting a few days. And I agree with Suzy...enjoy the extra fats you can eat .

I was down -0.6 today for a total of -11.4 lbs (excluding load weight) in 11 days. Checking back on prior rounds that's almost exactly where I am each time, between 11.2-11.8. Funny! I'm now on the downward slope of my 3 week curve and so excited! Only 9 1/2 more days of P2 (well, and then my no hCG days...but I least I know I can add some protein on those days).

I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend! Happy hCG Cycling!!

I'm on R2D10. I did more exercise last week (yoga, high-incline walking, Bodypump x2 & a free-weight session) than I did when I was on R1 (only did Bodypump and no cardio). I upped my calories by about 200 (mainly w/coconut oil & creamed coconut which I included in my cal count) because of slight brain fog (blood sugar issues) in the AM.

I would experiment and see how you feel. I did notice some water retention a few hours after exercising (I didn't worry about it as I never weighed myself during the week). If you weigh yourself every day, you may notice slower losses the day after.

Speaking of weight, I'm now at the weight I was when I ended R1 - 166.5 lbs (lost about 5 or 6 lbs since loading).

TIP: L-carnitine and ALA helps in fat oxidization and metabolism and boosting energy.

I've already done a full round so spending 3 weeks in p3 isn't necessary. That's the nice thing about cycling is people can decided the length of p2 &p3 days for themselves. Check out this quote from the cycling sticky:

    Traditional P2 & P3

The length of a traditional P2 is a minimum of 23 days also known as a short round. Days 1 and 2 are loading days followed by days 3 through 23 of VLCD (very low calorie diet) during which time you are taking hcg. After this point you stop the hcg, but continue with the VLCD for 72 hours if taking Rx hcg, or 48 hours if taking homeopathic hcg, before you start the P3 break.

The length of a traditional P3 is 21 days. During this time, you may eat anything you wish except sugar and starches. You will be stabilizing during this phase. At any point you go over 2 pounds of your LIW (or LDW), you must do a steak day the next day to drop your weight back down within the 2 pound range.

    Non-Traditional P2 & P3

Cycling can be modified to fit what works for you. For example, a 2 week /1 week round looks like this:

2 weeks of P2: day 1 = first injection and load day followed by 13 days of VLCD
Continue VLCD for 72 hours with no injections - days 15-18
    4 days of P3 - days 19-21
    Cycle back to P2
It's in this threadhttp://hcgdietinfo.com/hcgdietforums...cycling-13278/ there's tons of great info there if you're curious

I've found that light exercise helps, but when I've tried more intense exercise I didn't lose as well. It's hard to tell if it's just from water retention or my body not liking exercise of that intensity during p2. I need exercise for my mental health so during p2 I've just been doing yoga and walking. You just have to experiment and see what works for you. Dance sounds like fun

    Hi Lisa,

Have you tried this short cycle and, if so, did the weight come off with more success? I can understand this length of cycling as a lot of us have issues with stalls into wk 3 of P2.

Personally, I skipped P4 and went back to P2 after 3 wks of P3 in R1. I didn't want to do P4 because I actually enjoyed P3 and got used to eating LCHF, and at the same time not prolong the agony of waiting to go back to P2.

I did try it and I found that the weight cam off just about the same as a regular round. One thing that I experimented with was freezing my injections so that I don't need to waste any hcg or have to stop after finishing a vial. So for this round I'm going at least 18 days vlcd, but I'll most likely I'll go longer than that, for as long as I'm mentally still in the game.

I like p3 food as well. I love coffee with hwc and chicken ceaser salads, omg. Eating lost of fat helps with my sweet cravings.

SuzyQQ, what are you planning for how long you're going to stay in p2?

So Lisa, can I pick your brain a little more on subsequent P2 cycling "rounds"? Am I reading you noticed your loss rate was similar to starting a new round? I'm trying to set some goals for myself but am not sure yet what to expect.

For instance, for a brand new fresh full round, I've typically averaged 0.70-0.75 on 30-40 day rounds, obviously much better at the beginning of each round. So far I am completely on target for that range (D15 I'm at -0.95/day). But when I restart after my P3 break I've lowered my goal to 0.6 per day average and then 0.5 for each P2 cycling round thereafter. Does that seem reasonable?

Have you successfully maintained your LIW (or LDW) during P3? I've never really had a problem stabilizing, just curious if you've experienced any differences with your cycling P3 breaks.

    Appreciate any feedback!
    Cindy

So are you saying that the same weight comes off but in a shorter round (i.e. 10 lbs in 2 wks instead of 3 wks)?

I'm not sure how long I will go. I think it will depend on how consistently the weight comes off. Right now, I'm doing more exercise than I did in R1, so I'm experiencing some low blood sugar in the mornings. Not sure if this will be a detriment to how fast weight comes off, so I started having a bulletproof tea for breakfast (3 tsp coconut oil in hot tea) and use more fat in my cooking - not a lot but enough to add some flavour. (I noticed a difference in my body composition in P3 because of the amount of fat I was eating, so I'm thinking it might help in P2). I'm only weighing 1x/wk so I'll have to wait until wkd to see if my fat experiment is working.
