    Cycling - Going for it!

Hi everyone, I finished off a 24 day round with a successful loss of 12kg. I'm maintaining my loss incredibly well but I didn't get to my goal. As I only had 21 days on the HCG....I started thinking why couldn't I do an extended round. So I researched and decided to cycle. I'll be reloading Sat and Sun this week. The plan is to do 17 additional days plus the 3 without HCG. My goal is to get under 105kg. I am currently at 113.7kg. I firmly believe I can get to this goal. I'll note any issues I experience and honestly say whether I think you should give cycling a go.

Hi Gastro! Cycling was popular a few years ago on here. I did it successfully during my second round on drops back in 2010. 23 days on (lost 16) took a 15 day break and then then went for a full 40. I started at 210 and finished at 175. I ate p3 during the break and held the LDW.
It doesn't work for everyone, in fact I couldn't do it now and get my head in the game. I'm sure you've found all the good conversations on here to support you. I will too!
Good luck and please keep us updated on your progress!

    Hi Gastro,

If you are only into your P3 by 2 weeks, you can start back in without loading and complete the rest of the 40 dose round. If it is longer than 14 days, then you do have to load. What that would be is the "unforeseen interruption" talked about in the original protocol manuscript.

Thank you for your wonderful responses, Leez and Tracy! Your advice is much appreciated and very handy to note. I'm so glad I wouldn't have to load again.

Hey Gastro, one other thing! If you do a cycle, remember to finish with a full P3 and the P4. I remember those who continue to cycle on and off for awhile and it messed with stabilization. Your body still needs to rest after!

Thanks so much Tracy. Fully intend on completing a phase 3. I love phase 3. Not intending on going too hard this round. But would love to get under 105kg.

Starting back tomorrow and have had a few treats this weekend so I'm feeling ready to get back into it. I'm under my LDW by 1kg.

You're in a great starting place and you got to enjoy a few treats! Feel free to post on the Lovely Losers thread. A lot of folks will be interested in your experience with cycling/planned interruption.

Day 1: pretty easy day...but this is on the tail weekend of a bit of indulgence. A bit worried about getting my head back in the game, but know once I start getting into the swing of things I'll be fine. I'm sticking with my normal food plan. 1 apple for breakfast, chicken and cherry tomatoes, if I get a little hungry I'll have my breadstick then for dinner prawns and a grapefruit....per usual I'll drink a lot of coffee and water but the coffee especially keeps me focusedCycling - Going for it!

Hi Everyone, I've made the decision to stop this cycle. I wasn't 100 percent sure when I prepped my meals for the week on Sunday night. After giving it lots of thought...I decided to stop this morning. Even though I love the idea of cycling it does mentally **** with your mind and I don't think I was fully prepared for another round 1 week after finishing 3 weeks. I'm really happy with my initial loss of 13 kg and it's my firm belief that I can still lose weight after HCG BUT my body needs time to adjust. My final verdict....don't cycle. Be happy with what you lost whether it be a short or long round. It's still a massive achievement to complete the diet.

I've not ever broken up a round for pretty much that same reason. I didn't think I could get myself back into it.

Good luck with what comes now.

Just as an update...I'm still maintaining well despite my life throwing me some curved baLLS. I've found the best tip has been staying away from carbs 90% of the time and cutting how much I eat. I've still had treats but find I'm satisfied with half of what I used to have. I have also continued to weigh myself daily. This keeps me accountable.
