    Cycling Concerns. What it Isn't

When you are reading this section, this is a time for after you have done a complete full round of Phases 2, 3, and 4.

Let me start with what cycling is not:

It is not an alternative to doing a full round the first time.
It is not a faster way to lose weight.
It is not a way to "cheat" and go back
It does not reset your metabolism without finishing your cycles with a full round.
It is not a chance to add foods that aren't on protocol.
It does not show you how your body responds to this protocol.
It does not show you where you need to change.
It does not show you how you got to where you are.
It is most definitely not for every one.

    What cycling is:

After doing a complete full round of phases 2, 3, and 4 it gives you an opportunity to try doing the protocol in a different way, however it is not recommended for every one.

It is alternating phases 2 and 3 without going into phase 4.
It is alternating 3 weeks of phase 2 and 3 weeks of phase 3
It is staying on protocol foods during those phases,no tweaks.
It is doing complete phase 3 and moving onto phase 4 when you are finished cycling.

That is all cycling is. Anything else, like adding protein shakes or turkey or or or...you are tweaking the diet which is giving yourself permission to not follow the diet.

So please, if you are reading this forum and you haven't even started or a just beginning....run!!! Don't even read this until you are in the middle of phase 4 and might consider this, knowing it could mess you up.

Just for the record I speak from over a year of experience and yes, I did a complete round first!

I have a quick question. Since cycling doesn't reset your metabolism how do you get it to reset? Is that when you finish with a full round? And by a full round, does that mean that after you reach your goal weight you cycle into a minimum 26 day p2, 21 day phase 3 and then start into the phase 4/life time eating? Thanks so much for your help in clarifying this for me.

Bumping . . . . this is really important, especially for newbies! So much dis-information out there. Gotta do it the RIGHT WAY the first time, or you'll never know does it really work FOR YOU????

It does not matter how slowly you go, so long as you do not stop.
