Thread: Cycling length

    Cycling length

This is my 4th round so I have definitely already had a successful round under my belt all the way into P4. I have been reading about cycling as a potential b/c my 3rd round was a bust mentally.

Does it have to be 2 weeks P2, 1 week P3? Or could I do one week P2, one week (well 4 days after the 72 hours) P3?

For some reason this is the ONLY way I lose weight now. I literally spent the last weeks on a very clean eating, low cal plan with exercise and nothing. Not a pound, not even an inch. I did get some bada** guns though

So what do you think? Or do I need to suck it up and do 2 weeks? I'm on day 3 and already crying for phase 3 lol. I'm not craving sweets and starches though. I just want nuts and more variety of fruits and veggies. So it isn't a craving issue, per se.

I am probably not the most experienced where it comes to cycling but I will tell you what works for me
    1. 40 day rounds do not work for me it just does not fit into my lifestyle, because when on P2 I literally do not socialize much,
    2. I prefer a minimum of 2 weeks p2 followed by 2-3 days no injections and VLCD, but preferably 3 weeks....then I take 2 - 3 weeks on P3
    3. For me this is a bit of my own interpretation on what is vaguely allowable on P&I...
-- because it says you should be on P2 at least 21 days before you can take a planned interruption So I would do my first part 3 weeks on P2
-- then it says a planned interruption can be up to two weeks before you need to load again
-- and then you need to be aware of the immunity part ....if anyone has developed immunity I have not heard of it yet, but I make sure my breaks are reasonable
So.... what works for me is 3 weeks on, 3 weeks off, min two weeks off then I do not specifically load, I just make sure I have an "event" where I would eat fairly "normal" by non dieting terms...

I hope that helps you... I guess whatever works for you is your choice because there is no protocol for not being 100% on protocol...

Flo, that was really helpful. Thanks for taking the time to post that review of what works for you.

I have never cycled, but I did consider it for a while, before deciding to do full-length rounds for myself.

However my understanding was that, after you have completed one full round (preferably a long round) with 30-45 days of P2, 3 weeks of P3, and 3 weeks of P4, you start stringing together cycles of minimum round length (3 weeks) and maximum planned interruption days (2 weeks), until you reach your desired size, at which point you do a full P3 before going on long-term maintenance.

So it would look like this:

    R1: 2 days load, 40 days P2, 3 weeks P3, 3 weeks P4
    Cycle: 2 days load, 3 weeks P2, 2 weeks P3, 3 weeks P2, 2 weeks P3 (and so on until you reach your final 3 week P2 period), 3 weeks P3, long-term P4.

I don't know if that made any sense. And, someone with actual experience in the matter could correct me if I'm mistaken.

arolina that is basically how I read it to be as close as possible to protocol... so we both said the same thing just differently...so I guess great minds think alike....
