OMG - I gained all the weight back reloading for a day!

So I decided to try cycling since I wanted a 'bikini' body for summer but didn't quite make it there with my last round which I did with my hubby. I loaded for a day with mostly protein but may have gone overboard with some cream cheese/peanut butter stuff I made. I was 137.8 and this morning I'm 145.8! YIKES! Do I load another day or call it good? I'm freaked out.

    Thanks

Hey thomp3sk -- just gonna give my opinion here as I am on R3 (cycling) and reloaded last weekend. I gained almost 8 lbs after loading for 2 days and about died when I stepped on the scale. Even though I've lost almost 7 lbs this week, I am still not down to my pre-load weight and am sick about that as I feel like I've "lost a week," if you know what I mean. I won't do that again, should I need to do a 4th round. I would stick with the one loading day, but that's just my 0.02.

Lost 19.2 lbs on 23-day round of hCG injections.
Lost 8.2 lbs on R2 with pellets -- cycling (Messed up & didn't load, had another major "mess-up," and ended this round early.) All in all, a BAD round.
Now on R3 still with pellets -- still cycling. Hope and pray this is the LAST round!!

I personally think 1 load day is fine in a case like yours where you've been off for 3 weeks. Sounds like you ate something that didn't agree with you. I wouldn't do another.

I think you are fine with just one day.

Agreed. Personally, I have come to believe that while fun and enjoyable, one doesn't need to go on an all-out eat-everything-in-sight load day(s). All the carbs just result with water weight.

thomp3sk, you will be fine, but it does sound like you ate something to which you are sensitive unless you went on a 24 hour binge or something. You might think about drinking dome detox tea and lots of water to flush out your system. Throw some fresh lemon juice in your water, too. It's a natural diuretic.
Think thin thoughts and it will become your experience.

I'd at least eat normally for 2 days. Going to VCLD too quickly will lead to hunger problems.

You obviously ate something you're sensitive to. Either the peanut butter or the cream cheese, most likely.

Thanks everyone. I took Grammy's advice and did a protein day the next day and now I'm down 3 lbs. Starting vlcd today though. I'm pretty sure it was the peanut butter cause thats about the only thing I hadn't tried on P3 - but mannnn that was goood! : ) Thanks for your help and good luck everyone.

peanut butter is a bad combo of carbs and fats all in one tempting package.....my bet is its what made you retain water. Glad you are moving downward again.

    I don't "load" when cycling. I eat normal p3 for 2 days.

And you don't face any hunger issues? I was concerned about not having enough fat in my body to live from while doing the vlcds

I have never really had hunger issues. I think it really has more to do with people having carb withdrawal that causes the hunger. The only time I ever loaded was the very first two days of starting HCG. I cycled all the way through what I have lost so far and even took a hiatus for a few months and still did not "load" because I didn't eat carbs in between. On those first two days I eat when I am hungry and stop when I am not - I do not believe in gorging myself to "load" - I think it is unnecessary and counterproductive.

    Good Luck.
