Thread: Read This First: What is Cycling?

Hi guys-

I am restarting the HCG diet. I did it successfully with 3 rounds 2 years ago for my wedding and lost over 45 lbs and kept it off until I got pregnant and had my daughter. I have been excersizing and trying to eat right but always struggled with loosing weight before HCG, so its been the same ole slow weight coming off. Thus I have decided to go back to HCG again but this time with cycling. I ordered the HCGcomplex, I had used the Triumph HCG drops the last time 2 years ago, but heard from a couple websites that this formula was better now. I guess we will see. Since I am new to cycling I was wondering if anyone else was starting cycling- maybe having a cycling buddy. I am thinking of doing between 14-17 days with HCG and then doing 2 weeks P3 and going back to P2. I am guessing you don't reload when you go back to P2. Anyone else want to jump in and start cycling. I was planning on beginning next Monday or Tuesday- depends when my drops arrive.

I agree Leez. I have started to read it and am impressed so far. Just on Chapter 2, but it explains a lot and I agree with what they have written. I can get very frustrated when I don't lose any weight and start to gain. I am trying to pinpoint what causes it, and have a few things in mind that cause me weight gain. I do see how I have to really try to eat every few hours though, even if its a small amount. This past summer when I had reached my goal I had done this and maintained for two months.
Then somehow it all went south lol.

I just started today with cycling. Doing two days of loading then start P2 on Monday. I plan to do a couple weeks of hcg, then a couple of P3. Once I have the weight down to where I want, I then plan to incorporated THM (Trim Healthy Mama). I am currently reading the book

There are some other ladies on here who have done this as well and you can read their posts under cycling.

I haven't decided yet if I will do one week of P2 or two yet. I am waiting to see how this one week goes. Going well so far.

Hmm. Never thought of doing 1 week of p2.. I thought that would be too short? Anyone had any success with only 1 week on p2.... I loaded on mainly p3 foods for only one day on Monday but at the end of the day had a large chocolate chip cookie. I managed to gain 4 lbs in load. Im on day 3(including the load) and have lost 4.5 lbs... So it I was to do only 1 week I feel like I would not really get anywhere since my stupid load was 4 lbs. I like the idea of cycling because I have a hard time eating meat without oil or butter or even my favorite go to spices... I used Jay Robs shakes to help me with not eating meat so much but even tonight on drinking it I really hated it without milk or HWC or my splenda or lots of other fruits lol. I think I have become a wuss... the only good news is when I am on HCG I don't slip up. I am really focused and aside from the Jay Robs I am on protocol.
Jayk- did I hear this right- this is your first time cycling too? We should be buds. I am only a bit worried that I won't stabilize in p3 in time to jump back into P2... does anyone else have an issue with that- or do you not really care if you go up a couple lbs over the 2lb window since you know your going right into p2 soon? Has anyone had issues with stabilizing in p3 if you only do it for 1 week or 2 weeks then jump back into p2?

Sorry lots of questions- just really want to get this weight off and cant imagine doing the long rounds like I used to and waiting in between.

After reading Pounds and inches again, I am thinking I will just do the minimum of hcg which is 23 days even if you have little to lose.

We never give a treatment lasting less than 26 days, even in patients needing to lose only 5 pounds.
It seems that even in the mildest cases of obesity the diencephalon requires about three weeks
rest from the maximal exertion to which it has been previously subjected in order to regain fully its
normal fat banking capacity. Clinically this expresses itself -in the fact that when in these mild cases
treatment is stopped as soon as the weight is normal, which may be achieved in a week, it is much
more easily regained than after a full course of 23 injections.
As soon as such patients have lost all their abnormal superfluous fat, they at once begin to feel
ravenously hungry in she of continued injections. This is because HCG only puts abnormal fat into
circulation and cannot, in the doses used, liberate normal fat deposits; indeed, it seems to prevent
their consumption. As soon as their statistically normal weight is reached, these patients are put on
800-1000 calories for the rest of the treatment. The diet is arranged in such a way that the weight
remains perfectly stationary and is thus continued for three days after the 23rd injection. Only then
are the patients free to eat anything they please except sugar and starches for the next three weeks.

But I will still post on how its going. I just want to be able to keep the weight off, so would rather do it properly.

I wouldn't mind hearing from others though if they have successfully lost weight and kept it off using cycling.

I am doing the three weeks or at least 23 days as per protocol, then will do P3. But seeing I am at goal I will then move into P4 after that.

Cycling Concerns. What it Isn't

This explains a lot about cycling for those who need to lose more weight than I needed to.

I have just one more week to go on P2..

AS I have more to loose I am doing the 14 days P2- 3 days of HCG but still VLC then move to p3. I will stay in P3 til I feel I stabilized.... hopefully 2 but up to 3 weeks. Then I am moving back to p2. For some reason I am dying on p2... I hate the foods this time but I am not really hungry.. its a struggle to even eat the "allowed" food every day- I look forward only to the fruit and the cucumbers/tomatoes and steak. I can't do steak often so I am dreading chicken and shrimp and even my shakes... I did 14 days already in p2 and am on day 3 of weaning of HCG. Tomorrow I start p3. I heard with the homeopathic I only had to weight 48 hours not 72 hours but just to be safe I am suffering again today with yuck p2 foods.

In 14 days- not including load I lost 10.6 lbs. I am pretty happy with that. I had to use smooth move tea 2x but aside from that had steady losses even though it was pretty little amount every day. I'm excited to jump into p3- have been rereading all the receipes I used the last time I did this and found some great ones on pin Trist. Will post how my cycle experience goes...

I was hoping some people that had done cycling and lost the weight would post how their weight has been 6 months or 1 year or longer since cycling. I plan to do a full round when I get to my goal but for now I haven't really seen any cycling success people that originally posted- come back and post their updates on if the weight stayed off.. would love to hear about it.

I mostly eat chicken or steak or lean burgers on P2. As for veggies, its Romaine lettuce, celery, cucumber, radishes or asparugus

With my chicken I always cook in lemon juice to get a nice taste

On my veggies/lettuce I use an apple cider vinegar dressing with seasonings. This makes it easier for me.

I as well wonder how well anyone did with cycling as well and would like to see them comment.

Well I stabilized well in 12 days only going 1.2 lbs over my target. I had 2 steak days but I ate poorly on thanksgiving and a wedding. I ate around 3000 calories and noticed if I didn't have enough protein and fat I would gain weight. Hwc and butter helped me get calories in. Started p2 3 days ago and didn't load. Already down 3 lbs. Will keep everyone posted.

How are you doing? Did you manage to maintain/lose with this method.
