    Spring 2015 Cycling on HCG

    Hello,

Brief backstory: tried HCG back in late 2010 for one round on hhcg. Had great results on program and maintained for more than a year. In 2012, I was fighting an illegal eviction (I won), had to put my beloved doggie down , and I moved for Grad School. The weight started creeping on. I had gained back what I lost in 2010 by January 2013. From Jan 2013 to Jan 2015 (when I started using rx HCG) I had gained an additional 24lbs! I was at my highest weight EVER!! I was not a happy camper. I remembered the success I had on HCG so I did some research and decided to try RX this time. I attempted to do a long round -- starting MLK weekend -- but ran out of HCG before the 43 days so I finished at 35 days. I got really squirrelly around 4 weeks in and decided that I didn't want to do long rounds ever again! I lost a total of 22lbs (including my 2.2 below LIW that I maintained during P3).

While I was doing my P2 in Jan/Feb I looked into cycling thread and decided I wanted to give it a try. Here's my approach. I'm not doing a set time on and off, per se, for the cycling. I'm basing it off my TOM cycle. But that being said, it is working out to be about 21days on and 28 days off. I had a total of ~50lbs that I wanted to lose when I started in January, so my "hope" is to do 2 cycling rounds, but of course it all depends on the scale. I "stocked up" on rx HCG, which means I bought enough for 3 rounds of cycling (not counting my P2 in Jan/Feb 2015). For my last round, whichever it will be (2 or 3 cycles), I will do the 23 day minimum on HCG. FYI... I'm vegan so I'm doing HCG rogue anyway, might as well try cycling!

I decided to do ONE load day when I started back on P2 for this cycle round. I had been sick for the last week of P3 and kinda struggle to get enough food in so I wanted to make sure that I had plenty of good fats in my system before switching to the VLCD.

So here are my details for this round of P2, which started March 14th:
    Height: 5'10"
    P2D1: 178.6 (LOAD)
    P2D2: 180.0 (+1.4)(first day of VLCD)
    P2D3: 177.0 (-3)
    P2D4: 178.0 (+1)
    P2D5: 175.6 (-2.4)
    P2D6: 174.0 (-1.6)
    P2D7: 174.0 (0)
    P2D8: 172.6 (-1.4)

    Total Loss to Date: -6lbs

Any other cyclers out there right now? Please chime in!

I so want to join in and try cycling this time. In 2010 I started HCG, lost a total of 50lbs - it was great, I felt so much better - off most of my meds. The way I managed to stay with it was because I didn't know one person who had ever tried it, I read it all online.....and I was TERRIFIED that if I nibbled one tiny bite of anything not on protocol, I would immediately gain all my weight back and turn into a pumpkin! For me, that worked.....didn't cheat....was too scared to. That being said, I have gained it all back.....those darned carbs! I love them and I knew by that time that I really wouldn't gain it back overnight. I could never get comfortable with maintenance. No matter what I tried to add back to my diet - nothing worked but cabbage and meat. Just can 't live on that! Tried to get back on HCG - life keeps getting in my way. Here it is warm weather here, and I am hiding in my big clothes once again......sad, but its the story of my life. I've never cycled - just don't know if my body would let go of the weight, but it certainly looks more doable. Good luck to you Mia!

I'm back doing R4P2 after a successful P3/P4 blend of cycling. I end my last round just before TOM and then waited until after I finished my next TOM. I maintained my weight within 2lbs up and down during the 35 days. When I started P2 again I was .8lbs over LIW -- I did a load day with no injection. The last 7-10 days prior to starting P2 I was .8lbs below LIW. I'm down 4.6lbs (including load weight gain).

I'm 16.2 over my ultimate low weight goal. I don't believe I will get there on this round and quite frankly I'm not sure that number is completely realistic. BUT I do know I've got another 10lbs that I'd like to see go. So my hope for this round is to lose that weight, but to take it all "one day at a time." I have enough HCG to do another round if need be.

Here's a little bit about my quasi-P3/P4 experience from the month of April/early May. I stayed pretty true to P3 fruits and vegetable choices for the entire time -- I like those fruits so it makes it really easy. I ate out quite a few times during the month -- no chain restaurants, just local places that I know and love. Had red wine and a couple of bloody marys and a tasty old fashion during P3/P4. And I even had a couple of vegan cupcakes from Whole Foods during that time. I slipped off my perfect record of weighing myself every day, but I never went longer than a few days. But I do believe that is such a critical habit to maintain that I'm back to it and completely committed.

So far I'm liking the cycling way -- I plan to do 20-21 days this round, but will do a full 23 if I get really close to my goal weight. We shall see...I'm just getting started on this round...

FWM -- good luck to you on your weight loss journey!

    Me Me Me!

Hi there. First time cycler here. I just finished my vlcd and am on my first day of p3. I have done 4 rounds of hcg...the first 3 rounds i used the patch with much success then switched the last two to injections. I am tired of doing this diet lol but I do know it works. I decided not to punish myself this time. I don't want to go into p4 as I feel it defeats the whole purpose if you still have 30 plus lbs to lose like I do. This is how I am going to do it:

One day Load (not sure if I should do 2 days or not)
    21 days on p2
72 hours wind down into p3
    21 days of p3

Now I was going to do only 2 weeks on p3 but I am scared of becoming immune. Also I am not sure if I should be measuring my dosage differently for this. I have 5000 iu of hcg (pellet form)and I have .5 mm needles. I am thinking of a 15 cc dosage.

Glad to see others doing this. I feel this makes more sense since the majority of the weight comes off in the first 2 weeks. Any thoughts??

I'm with you, it seems like the majority of the weight comes off in the first 2 weeks. I just finished my first week and lost 5.8lbs (including load weight, although I didn't inject on that day). I've only got 15lbs to go and I did really well doing a blend of P3/P4 for the second half of the month off. But to be honest, I didn't incorporate everything that I would resume eating once I'm truly in P4. I just didn't worry if I had some P4 foods and my body did just fine. We've all got to make our own decisions though... so I'm not suggesting that anyone else do exactly what I did. But I have no regrets!

I try to time mine with TOM so I tend to go a little longer in P3 so that I'm starting a new cycle of P2 right after TOM. I also might not go exactly 21 days this time. I'm going to see how the 2nd week shakes out. Like you, I'm a little worried about becoming immune so I'm more conservative on the time in P3. I haven't changed my dosage at all and it all seems to be working just fine. I do .25 or 25 (??) cc -- I'm not sure how it's measured, I just know what to "pull" into the syringe. I think for me, because I'm back into some of my clothes that I love, I'm not worried about taking a little longer to lose the last 15. I'm hoping this round will get me close -- with maybe just 8lbs to lose. And then I'll have to do a full 23 days of P2.

I like your cycle plan. I'm almost doing that -- but again, I try to work around TOM since I seem to slow down with the weight loss when that is happening.

    Enjoy your P3 -- you've earned it!!

Awesome! I am happy you are doing so well and I hope for good results as well. This last round of p2 was a tad disappointing. Only lost 15 lbs on it and i did a 30 day cycle. I have always had wonderful good rounds ....25 lbs plus...but not this time. Yes TOM did interfere but I do not have a choice unfortunately as I am very irregular. I never know when its going to hit. As a matter of fact I just finished TOM a couple weeks ago and I just went off the hcg and guess what! Remnants of it are back again like I am having a light TOM. So frustrating LOL. Yes...it seems that once TOM hit this last time during p2 I stalled and stayed stalled for the last 2 weeks. Very small amounts came off...and then it would be back again and then lose. I still have 30 to go so I am hoping for a decent next round and that this cycling will pay off. I pay through the nose for my hcg so it is going to be expensive. I am in canada and I only know of one person who is willing to send it to canada as it is not approved here. He charges me like $90. Believe me...I have done a ton of homework to find a company who will ship here and no luck

Oh, that's a bummer about the cost/delivery situation in Canada! I got such a great deal once I did some sleuthing on this forum, but I live in the U.S.

I know you're looking for great numbers, but I have to say... you still lost an average of .5lb a day! Let's be honest...what other diet gives you those kind of results. I'm a mini-stall right now, but I'm not surprised -- when I lose big and consistently for 5-6 days in a row then my slows down. I'm hoping it will break either tomorrow or the next day. I've got lower weight loss expectations because my meal plan is not official protocol, but again...I'm getting great weight loss results and I haven't had any problem maintaining during P3.

After this round I'm taking a longer break because I've got a lot going on in my life... grad school graduation, job search and hopefully a move. I will more than likely just have about 8lbs or so to lose and I'm okay with taking a longer break.

For this 2015 HCG tour I've been using Google Spreadsheets to track weight, meal notes, and general notes -- including TOM -- and to be honest it's the first time in my life since I went off the pill that I actually know with in a day or two when TOM is due to arrive. That's gotta be frustrating, having an unpredictable TOM.

Well, I hope you have a successful P3 and please keep me posted. I'm going to be posting/checking in for the rest of this round of P2 and will post more sporadically during my P3/P4.

I hope our successes (and possible bumps in the roads) are helpful not only for our own journey, but for others who may be interested in trying cycling.

    Cheers!
