Over 200 Club: 50+ pounds to Lose

I started P2 on the 29th of September. I love the messages in the groups - but would really like to connect with others that are going to be working at this for a while. Anyone else need to lose over 50 pounds?

P2 - Over 200 Club: Anyone out there with 50+ pounds to Lose?

I'm no longer a member of the over 200 club, but can add some encouragement for those who are.

Exactly one year ago tomorrow, I was 217 lbs. when I started my Round one loading weekend. After three rounds (round 2 couldn't stabilize due to chronic inflammation ), I now weigh 145 lbs., I'm 5'10 - look and feel great, and am stable. I know what I can and cannot eat, and for the most part unless it's something I'm sensitive to, dont have any gains from anything I occasionally indulge in. With that being said, I'm not a sweets, bread, or baked goods person anyway, so I just have a couple of good meals each day before 6 pm, and am never hungry or craving anything!!!

In a nutshell, I lost 72 lbs. in a year, and it went very fast and was easy as long as I followed the rules of the protocol. I would like to give you encouragement that you can be successful in your 50 lb. goal as well.

Theresa - I'm started up this weekend. I lost 30 lbs on HCG back in 2011 but gained all back plus an additional 15. (Don't be discouraged by that statement- had some rough personal stuff that got in the way). Ready to get this under control. Aiming to lose 70-80 lbs so I will be on a while. I see you've already lost 9+ lbs - way to go! Helps to see the scale go down so fast and makes me wish I had already loaded. Are you on RX drops or homeopathic. I will try to post and keep up with you. Starting tomorrow morning - going to load with healthy fats. I've been eating poorly for so long loading on bad stuff isn't that appealing. I'm in northern CA so also on the West Coast.

sdwis - your story is very inspirational - I know hog works it's just making the commitment and sticking with it. I did have trouble in subsequent rounds - I never felt the same as I did the first round - almost like euphoria. It was so easy to stay on protocol.

This is my last ditch effort - heaviest I've ever been and really, really unhappy with myself. I can't look in the mirror right now. Nothing fits and uncomfortable in my own skin. Need to get this under control - usually I start eating Halloween candy right about now and continue thru the holidays. Like to change that pattern and start the new year with a big chunk of fat gone!!!!

Martha in CA - have to update my ticker.

    Hi All,
I am on a long-term journey as well. At my heaviest I weighed 270.5 pounds. I'm 5'10, so my goal weight is around 175. I remember being 175 and feeling great. At one point I was almost 60 pounds down but gained some back. Right now I'm 34 pounds down. Before hcg I never believed I could get to a healthy weight. Now I know it's possible.

Part of my goal in losing weight is to be healthy and to change my eating habits. Has anyone read Weight Loss Apocalypse by Robin Woodall? I have found it to be very enlightening. It has really helped me to ****yze how I eat and why I eat. I've changed quite a bit but still struggle with eating too much at times. It's easy to fall back into bad habits, which I did prior to the round I just started.

So this round's P3 and P4 I will be working hard on my eating habits, eating only when hungry, and stopping when I'm satisfied. It sounds simple, but I know it's not. I'm determined though. I will have 3, possibly more rounds after this one to get to my goal weight, but the hard work will be worth it. It's already so much better than when I was at 270--I am much more comfortable in my body. Good luck to all of us. We can do it!

Wow! I'm excited to see everyone here!

sdwis: Thank you for popping in. I figure it will take me 2-3 rounds to get out of the 200 club - but I am very determined. It's great to see someone that has been there - done that! I would welcome any advice. As of this morning I am R1P2D13 and down 10 pounds exactly. Looks like I am going to be one of the slow and steady ones rather than the giant leap peeps - but following other programs like WW it would have taken me up to 2 months to lose what I have lost in less then 2 weeks. 145 is actually my "big" goal, although I am shorter than you, I would be thrilled to get there. I AM a baked goods, bread person; but have come to understand that these things just can't really be a part of my life on any regular basis. Looking forward to your insight

Hi Martha: I was with you in 2011!! Actually I started in fall of 2010 and in 2 21 day rounds I lost 35 pounds. My mother passed away in March and for the next 8 months I really did not care about much. I put all the weight back on and maybe a bit more for fun. I am VERY committed at this time to not just lose this initial 50 pounds, but another after that. I am doing Omnitrition drops. Hope the loading is going well - I really felt ill most of my weekend. I was ready to eat healthier at the end of it!

: Welcome. You're right . We CAN do it. I have been up and down for years, but this time truly is different. I am really taking time to evaluate what I am eating and I understand now more than ever that when I get to the end, I can't simply wake up the next morning and start eating like I used to. Carbs are not the friend I have always thought them to be WTG slipping and then getting back on track.

    Happy Saturday Ladies!

I am on a round now. Last Oct I was 244. In Novemember I had a through Dr. exam and minor surgery. I had to fear the humiliation of thinking what -if -the -gown -doesn't -fit. My doctor has avoided talking about weight. This time she did the deep- look -into -my -eyes thing and tell me "seriously you do need to lose weight ."

Yep. I know! I have tried everything and yes, I cheated. But I didn't cheat until I had followed whatever silly rule each diet had and saw that the deprivation didn't work. I did low carb my weight to 230' s and was stuck until I found Hcg.

I did a round of Hhgc in March-May and lost 30 glorious pounds. Miraculous! I went from size 24/26W to 18 no w. In fact my plus sized shirts didn't fit, but the Xl 16/18 are a bit too tight. I stabilized well, but took only a three week break and tried a few times to start again. Finally I took a longer break and yesterday just finished loading up to 212 on a three day load . I'll call it r3 p2 d3. Ready for my next 30+ . Good luck to all

Ok, I'm back and a little disgusted that I gained some weight back. Not Hcg fault. Moving on. Now I am at 222 , 10 pounds up from my last post. After another day recovering from the flu, I'm back on a round. Still down 22 from last year, so that is good. My goal is 150-125 ( been so long I have no idea).

Loading D2 and you guys are getting me in the right frame of mind to make this a really successful round!!! Goal is 35 lbs before Thanksgiving.

Read a fascinating story about a company called Theranos - young woman dropped out of Stanford 10 yrs ago to focus on changing how blood work is done - she's patented a way to do blood work with few drops from finger prick. Company is opening hundreds of Wellness Centers in Walgreen's - first one in Palo Alto open now and another in Arizona somewhere. The tests costs a fraction of what normal lab work costs and you get the results in 4 hours. There is a test menu on their website - anything that a normal lab can do this test can do. A typical CBC panel is less than $20. I would love to get tested on a regular basis to see the changes as you lose weight. And no I am not affiliated with this company - just fascinated that someone is revolutionizing this process. Going to the lab is always difficult with work.

Welcome Tina! 30 pounds sounds great.

I seem to be on a slower path - but my goal is 25 pounds this round. I was flat today, but that usually means tomorrow brings a good number

I really look forward to clothing without W and X identifiers!!!

I know just how you feel. At 250 pounds, I hated going to the doctor--even just stepping on the scale was a misery. I don't think I actually went to the doctor at my heaviest. Thankfully I'm a pretty healthy person (weight notwithstanding). It doesn't bother me quite so much at 230 because I know how much I've accomplished. I had my first ever mammogram last week and had to wear this cape-like gown meant to cover me from neck to waist. I'm pretty tall, and it totally exposed my belly. While I wasn't thrilled I also wasn't mortified the way I would have been at my heaviest. I'm still super-sensitive about my hips and thighs though. They are smaller than they were, but they seem to be shrinking at a slower rate than the rest of me. LOL

I think the problem with most weight-loss diets are that they tell you what and how much to eat to lose the weight but don't tell you how to change your eating habits so you don't regain everything you've lost.

I love it when something gets too big! It's a mixed blessing because then you have to get new clothes, which is cool but also not because of the cost. I remember the first time I went into a store in the regular sizes and tried on a top in XL and found it was too big. I threw a tiny little party right there in the fitting room. I'm still in plus sizes in pants due to the aforementioned hips and thighs, but I'm hoping after my next round I will be able to fit into regular sized pants. Fingers crossed.

Hi, ladies, all I can say is I belong in this group, I loaded on Sept. 27 & 28 with a starting weight of 253.4 now on VLCD day 7 with a 13# loss. As many of you have said this is my last chance diet. I have done so many diets over the years and most of them worked but the weight always came back as soon as I reached goal and returned to my old habits. I really felt understood for the first time when Dr S. wrote about genetic obesity and the signs of someone with that gene.

This is my first time on hcg and I am doing the injections even though I am afraid of needles. I am having a lot of problems with my knees and I can't go to the doctor asking for a solution until I lose some weight, as I know what the first thing he would say to me would be "lose weight".

Theresa thanks for starting this thread, it's not easy to admit my weight when so many people are starting their diet below my goal weight.

sdwis thanks for the encouragement, knowing someone else has been there and made it to the other side is so uplifting.

custombuilder I know how you feel about this being the last ditch effort, and I can totally relate to starting now on buying and eating Halloween candy all the way through Thanksgiving!

PKtech thanks for the book recommendation it sounds great, I ordered it for my Kindle but will have to wait to get to the local library to download it as my internet connection doesn't work with downloads.

TinaG You are inspiring us all with your success.

    Get out those Measuring Tapes!

OK Ladies - if you haven't done it yet - do it! I started the Low Calorie part of this program 2 weeks ago today. As of today I am down 10.6 pounds and a small voice inside was telling me that EVERYONE was doing better. The best thing I did was to take measurements and photos that same day. I was SHOCKED today! I re-measured multiple places and there is a co-worker here doing it with me that has lost 18.2 pounds in the same time but - ((drum roll please)) I am down 25 inches overall.

This program is called pounds and INCHES for a reason
    Bust - Down 1 inch
    Waist - Down 1.5 inches
    Abdomen - Down 3 inches
    Hip - Down 2 inches

I measured several mid points too and other than my upper arm - I am down at least a 1/2 every place.

Also - I said I could not see it at all - but, when I put todays pics into photo grid - the differences was there.

Now - enough about me - How are you all doing today????

AND - Welcome to Deep Waters - You are doing AMAZING!
    Bring on 2015!
