Thread: Over 200 Club: 50+ pounds to Lose

  1. #229
I was up a bit this am...gosh darn! .2. But I also got TOM...so I guess I was luck to lose yesterday like I did. Wondering what tomorrow will bring! Typically I don't loss for a few days on TOM, and then lose 2+... But I don't really want to stall! Lol! Pouting here. :-)

Deep - please share your rage recipe! Do you use cream to make the full fat kind? I have made yogurt in a mason jar in my oven...but never strained to make it thick. Greek yogurt has gotten so expensive, making your own is a great idea.

Damsel, I'm sure you are just retaining water and will get a nice loss in a couple of days to average things out. I would be happy to post my yogurt recipe it's easy really, I just will do that tomorrow as I've been doing some computer stuff for a friend today and have just about done all the computer stuff I want for the day.

Today is the end of my first week on P3 and so far holding steady. And it is really fun to have so many food choices at hand after P2, I'm starting to believe that the whole point of P2 is to give us a new appreciation of good wholesome food when we finally get to eat it.

Bernie - hope you are doing well! First week is the hardest sometimes, hope it was good.

Deep - post when you have a chance. Great point about P2 making you appreciate foods in P3! Does it ever. Never loved butter so much as when I melt some on a steak or veggies in P3!

Was down .2 from sat, and lost the little gain yesterday from TOM....hoping for a big whoosh tomorrow! :-) hoping. Wanting to be lower before I head into P3...I have about a week or so left....I going to go until I run out of drops, which should be at about 43 days - had a long planned interruption this round (10 days...seemed long!).

Damsel I saw your post on "ask Grammy" and see you're going in for surgery tomorrow. The best of luck to you and I will send you good energy for your surgery and healing. I see that you will not be doing another round until after the New Year. I will be starting another round then too, so stay in touch on this thread and we can do our P2 together. Good luck take care and let us know how you are doing as soon as you feel up to using the computer again.

    Hi everyone,

I fully intended to check in everyday to hold myself accountable but i had a PI and just did not want to think about weighing and the weight i was probably packing on but from now on i will check in everyday for personal accountability (Lord knows i need it haha).

CJ I lost the 50lbs in two rounds before which was great then. I have recently decided to take my life into my own hands after a very tumultuous 2014 and tackle everything that makes me unhappy. As they say, charity begins at home, so i am currently literally redecorating my flat and most importantly making myself look and feel happy. That's where the hcg steps in. After much research I have planned a 60 day extended round to get to goal as quickly as possible. I will also extend p3 to 60 or 90 days afterwards. I am planning a PI for Christmas so i can enjoy it with my little one. Tbh ive kind of lost track of what exact day i am on due to a lack of motivation and tom in the first week but its day 8 since i have been strict (with 4 days prior to that of me being rogue) so Day8 is what i will stick to.

I haven't done any consistent exercise since i was 15 so once in P3 i will complete a 30 day 'learn to run' challenge. I will also add yoga, dance and some fun fitness classes at my local gym. No definite plans as to how i will do that but my sister is very very fit so I'm hoping i will get some tips from her. I have kind of distanced myself from the rest of the family to achieve the 'wow' factor once i have lost a substantial amount. This morning i was at 214.6lbs and I remember feeling really good at 180 so thats my mini goal. I have also written a rewards list for every 5lbs lost.

A big thank you to all the welcomes and i hope to integrate into this group

Damsel, all the best on your surgery.
Sorry I have been busy with house repairs and more. I was up to LDW + 10, but after a protein couple of days I am back at LDW+6...I think. Yesterday was a doctors follow-up, and he put me on westhroid, which is t3 and t4, natural. He says I need to keep up with exercise too, and he likes my Chipotle eating plan. Lol

    Hi all,

Woke up to a 1.2lbs loss which is great because i was a little naughty with 2 ohh-so-delish bbq wings yesterday. Hope I won't pay for it in the morning. I had really bad cracings at work today (probably because both myself and my coworker are addicted to food-****... Especially just before christmas) but i stayed strong and had some grilled chicken shish kebabs. I really hope the weight loss fairy is kind enough to pick up some weight tonight, could really do with the boost. Ok well that was me checking in for today although it feels a little like ghost town right now. Great, just as i arrive the party, everyone else disappears haha. Ok well until tomorrow.

    Night all

I find that fat is the death of P2. I can add extra (approved) protein, or extra *plain* carbs, but even a small amount of fats can stop the losses for 3 days. When I want to cheat, I would have extra burger or chicken or shrimp, usually an extra ounce but up to a double portion. Either that, or a cup of oatmeal with just stevia and maybe some blueberries. You would be amazed how satisfying a cup of oatmeal can be on P2. This is all OFF PROTOCOL, and does not help you keep losing as fast, but for me I may lose half as fast as normal if I do these things. I also do not count low carb veggies in my calories, and i eat as much of them as I want. . .which is also off protocol. I would do all that, but I wouldn't touch a chicken wing due to all the fat in the skin, and whatever is in the BBQ sauce. Just hoping to arm you with some options to help you stay away from fats. HTH

AFM: I am deep into P4, going up and down around 8 lbs over LDW. I have to get my head in it and stick with my modified protein/fat days to take off this water.

    Hi Ladies!

I am back from the wilds. Two weeks traveling on business definitely tested my resolve at times. I spent a week in Florida in 80 degree temps then landed in Louisville, Kentucky in time for snow and a big freeze. Talk about a shock to the system - it was -4 there with the wind chill. I think I am just now defrosting. I flew home just in time for my 55th birthday!!!

It was really scary being without a scale the whole time - but as of this morning I am up just .2 over LDW so feeling pretty good.

I haven't had a chance to read what you have been up to - but wanted to pop in and let you know I'M BACK!!! Promise to read all your posts in the next day or so.
    Bring on 2015!

Hi Lynne, thanks for your advice. I do try to stay away from cheat items but I'm a stubborn rogue who likes to test her body's boundaries need to stay away from that for now and wait for the later phases.

I woke up to a 1.6lbs loss this morning HOWEVER i do get crazy fluctuations on my scale so went and bought new batteries. Fingers crossed that I haven't been reporting a lower weight than i actually am... I'm dreading the morning.
On a more positive note, i took a trip to ikea this evening and although i absolutely love their meatballs and hotdogs, i stayed firm and even sat by whilst my mum and son ate. Second time in ikea this week and second time I've been oh so good. It's weird... Whilst they were eating i felt kind of empowered, like "its my choice and this can wait until I'm happy in myself".

Anyway, I'm signing out and fingers crossed the weight loss fairy is good to us in the morning.

    Night all

Morning All! P3 is working well for me so far. I have started adding a little bit of carbs here and there and so far - no change on the scale. As of this morning I am exactly at my LDW. I am really anxious to get back to P2 and losing again. My co-worker and I had agreed to start this on Christmas eve and at this point my hubby and sis in law will be joining us. I find it really helps to have others doing this program along with me. We text and report in each day.

I know this stabilization period is necessary and it is working well for me - but I really can't wait to get back to losing again.

When is everyone starting their next round?
    Bring on 2015!
