Leasa it's a good thing we don't live close to each other we would be bad together. I had 1 peep 1 choch.peanutbutter cup 1/2 cup mac & cheese & 5 beers.... oh well life goes on & tomorrow is a new day. That was an awesome thing you did for your community & for your children, great lesson for them. My older grandkids give up christmas gifts for a local vetrans family. They feel so proud after we deliver everything to them I think it is very rewarding for all of us to give. It makes you feel really good, always better to give then recieve Thanks for giving!!!!!!

I think I'm going to do a protien day unless I'm up 2 full lbs then I'll do a steak day. This morning I was up again to 150.4 which is .4 over my LDW the only reason my weight is going up has to be that I'm not eating enough protien & or not drinking enough water. I have to go back to buying the smart waters & then drinking 4 bottles of the 16oz dasani. In P-2 that is how I kept track but I didn't want the extra expense of that sm water. I have been gaining everyday for the last 4 days. I was down to 147.4 now up to 150.4. HMMMM.....

Hippychick I used to eat my chicken with boarshead mustard.

Good morning everyone! I'm not posting a food log from yesterday because, well, as I mentioned yesterday evening, I did good at dinner, but I at way too many sweets yesterday. I'm up to 155.8 now and not sure if it's TOM or all the bad choices I've made, or the combination of both, but I believe a steak day is in order.

So, as I get prepared to do my first steak day I am actually quite thrilled this morning. Not with the 2.4lbs I have put on over LDW, but with the fact that not only did I wear a dress yesterday that when I looked at it I thought, "There's no way that fits me." and now this morning putting on one of my suits for court that even though is my size used to fit me pretty snug, and now fits a little too big. So, although I, and TOM, have cause this 2.4lb increase, I am still happy with how I look and how I feel. But now, to get that 2.4lbs off!

Well I was still down .2 pounds this morning despite all the bad stuff I ate yesterday. Hopefully it doesnt show up tomorrow. I do feel the effects of eating all that sugar though, my stomach hurts and I am dragging around. Maybe what I ate wasnt a huge amount but my body sure doesnt like it. And the boiled eggs were protien, not sure if I should have counted them as "bad". Here is to my last week on P2, its time to move to the next step for me. Friday night will be my last dose. I will do 3 weeks of P3 and P4 and then do another round. If I keep putting it off, I will be another Shuly and I just dont have her willpower!

And, here is a question. I was fairly active at the gym before I went into a 4 month depression and gained all this weight. I am dying to get back into working out. Should I do it my last week of P2 or wait until P3 or 4? I dont do anything major, just the treadmill or elliptical or cross trainer. I am not big into doing weights, I have ADD and I get bored with doing reps lol. But now that I am in this for the win, I want to do it right and I want to look fabulous. So, suggestions on when to start at the gym again? Or should I stick to my Kinect at home?

LOL (I have to laugh or I'm gonna cry!) . . . Good Morning, Everyone!

What an Easter for all of us, well, at least those of us posting! Mine just happened to last the whole stinking week! Boy, did I lose total control last week (can I blame this one on my mother?? ) . . . I did step on the scale, up 10 lbs in 7 days! OMG, i knew it would be devastating & it was. What the hell do I do??? Surely, some of this is water!?! I think I will string together 2-3 protein days & see what that does. LOL . . . I really don't think a steak day is going to help at this point. I'm sure open to suggestions!

    Have a great day!

    Good Morning all:

DT - Yikes! I bet that a few protein days will get you back on track. I feel awful for you having such a tough week. I probably would have reacted the same way, now you just have to try to recover and resolve to move forward. Lots of water should get some of the bad stuff flushed out too. Prayers for you and your Mom.

Everyone else - Looks like Easter is a tough holiday for us all to stay on track. I did not eat any sweets (although I really wanted some chocolate) but did not totally resist temptation on the potato or stuffing front. That is what I miss the most. I had about 2 bites of each yesterday but saw a loss this morning so I am good with it. I think that my body likes a little change every once in a while. I admit that I had a large temptation while baking brownies for my son's birthday celebration and a cake for the Easter dinner but did not eat either. (yet, the leftovers are still at home) I really wanted some of that cake. I did deviled eggs for one of the dinners we had yesterday. We did both the Mother-in-law to be and my family celebrations. So 2 dinners to try to avoid temptation. It was worth it so much though as I had not seem some of the family since the first week of P2. I told you all about my BIL that slammed HCG on Facebook, he was there with my sister. What a great testament fo me as everyone commented on how great I looked and BIL's OWN MOTHER was asking me how I did it and we had this big discussion on it and how it works. He nor my sister never said a word but I could tell they were avoiding the issue. FUNNY, I loved every minute of it!

Everyone please keep on recovering from our little cheats this weekend and we'll all get back on track this week.

hi all - looks like everyone had a great Easter! Paula, good luck with your next couple days! I'm sure part of it has to be water weight! Gaining 10lbs means 5000 extra calories/ day.. I'm sure you didn't eat that! Maybe green tea? Smooth Move if you're not "moving"?

I had a good weekend and was mostly on protocol but did have some downfalls:
Friday: Dinner out - spinach and chicken and strawberry salad. Even though the chicken was plain, I know you can't be sure in a restaurant. Also, I got a beautiful Easter greeting cookie! I had one small bite... very buttery, very delicious... but just one bite.
Saturday: Was out all day and did my best. Lunch was a grilled chicken caesar w/o cheese, dressing or croutons... I asked for the chicken to be prepared as plainly as possible, but again you just never know. I also ate a very late dinner and had a small glass of wine with it. My meal was a crab cake on mixed greens (best option since it was a limited menu). I ate about 2/3 of the crab cake (limited filler, giant crab chunks). I picked out just chunks of crab meat, but I'm sure I got in some fat.
Sunday: Ate protocol all day BUT... had about 4 tiny crumbs of a brownie.

I did the best I could and know I should have skipped the bite of cookie and what equated to a bite of brownie. Oh well... Worst part is that I'm in a 5 day stall - I think that's how you count it (+0.2lbs Thurs, +0.2 Fri, -0.4 Sat, -0.0 yesterday, -0.0 today = same weight as Wed morning). Oh well... I'm glad I didn't gain. Plus, I haven't had any "output" for 48 hours now. I'm hoping diligence today, lots of water, and some Smooth Move later will get the scale moving. On the positive side of things, I got a size 2 (I'm short) dress.. it fits perfectly, so I'm thrilled.

    Have a great day everyone!
    Good luck everyone! -sami

I have another 60 to go and find it impossible to get it off...I am most worried about the food restrictions as almost nothing will go down unless it has some sort of sauce on it. It's very hard for me to eat meat. I read in another sticky that people have done broth/soup with chicken and I can definitely do that all day long. I have to be really careful about what I drink because the band doesn't restrict liquids in any form. So, the shakes and things probably won't work for me.

Any other thoughts of stuff I can make to put on top of the protein to make it mushy enough to go down and stay down? Thanks, glad to be here.
I cook my tilapia, 96% ground beef, or shrimp with 2 chopped up tomatoes in a frying pan, with some spices. The tomatoes add a lot of liquid, and can even resemble a soup. You could even add a little water. I have never tried making broth. Good luck!

Paula, sorry to hear about your gain, but take it in stride and move forward. You have been through a lot.

Leasa, great service to your community.

I hope you all enjoyed you Easter treats. Those Cadbury mini eggs are to die for, along with a personal favorite of mine - any Dove chocolate. I can say though, that even after making these awesome cheese cake bars - one batch with a red velvet crust, on one with lemon, and filling my kids Easter baskets with Dove rabbits, and Cadbury eggs, I didn't cheat!! But, I am around day 66, give or take, and afraid to move on.....

I bet a steak day and a couple of high protein days will take it right off. That is what I would try. You know it will come off fast...so don't worry too much about it! You had a lot on you lately! Did you check into the MedAlert system? It is truly a stress relief to have that for them!

Hi everyone I think I am back for a while. My computer is working again and our first round of MI company left, this morning and the bar-b-que was a huge success. I am back in my bedroom and absolutely love to walk in there it is so beautiful and calming.

I decided last week to start a short round of P2. I stabalized so well and even lost a little, I want to be down to the low 150's for my surgery on the 25th. So after I found out what all the foods that were going to be here last Saturday it would be good for loading. I started vlcd today and I am doing fine, so far. I have a little blip to watch out for and just missed feeling so clean on P2. I can stay on it till May 14th and then do P3 till surgery and beyond till released. I am then going to do another round, trying to reach goal before I let them remove my brain tumor. I will start my Wii today to start balance recovery. I feel good about it and hope I haven't made an error of judgement. I gained less than 2 lbs on this load, so looking forward to seeing the scales moving down again. I am going to keep my hair conditioned this time and am trying a different lotion that will keep my skin moist.

Welcome newcomers, I will get to know you and your names I promise. You have joined a great group.

Paula I am sure your gain will just fall off, it isn't real just a breath stopper and you will see the scales go right back down.

Love you guys, happy to be back.

    Happy losing, Aly

Hey, Aly . . . I've been thinking about you!! Great to hear from you. I'm so proud of u doing another short round! U have had a ton on ur plate, recently, too & u have handled it great! Congrats to you!!!

Hey, Janet . . . I have been checking out the Alert systems. I found a really great site on reviewing & comparing the various companies . . . very helpful! I wasn't aware of how many there are to choose from . . . Geesh!

Hey Sami, Patty123 & SM . . . thanks for the words of encouragement. I'm looking forward to the next 3-4 days to see how this darned scale reacts to my protein days & maybe even that steak tonight! (I haven't got a chance to eat, yet!!)
