    Cool Good Morning Twinmama!

    1 Thessalonians 5:11

Therefore encourage one another and build up one another, just as you also are doing.

How are you today? Encouraged I hope. How far into P2 are you? This is my last day of dosage, I think, I can't remember now if I do the last dose in the morning of the first day of P3. I need to look that up. I have to admit I'm nervous about gaining weight on P3. It's been so easy to think about just a little bit of food on P2 that the idea of all of these choices now makes me nervous. Dr. Simeon states that if we don't eat enough we will gain weight now that the hcg is not sending all the fat and its nutrients through our blood. But he also makes it a little easier by simply saying, no sugar, no starch. Having gone through P3 before, what do you think?

Isaiah 35:3Encourage the exhausted, and strengthen the feeble.

Father God, our Holy Father in Heaven Who loves us so much that You provided every single thing we could ever need.
You said You would provide our daily bread. In the desert the Israelites at one time were privileged to eat the manna, food of angels. This day is Yours Father, and Your promised mercies that are new each day. Please bless all of us here trying to take care of the temples You gave us, our bodies. In the name of Your Son Jesus You made a way for us to come boldly to Your throne. Thank You Father, for everything. Amen

Cool Isaiah 35:3Encourage the exhausted, and strengthen the feeble.

Have you felt feeble while on hcg? Have you had times where it all seemed just too much to handle? Especially the temptations. "Oh a little bite here and there won't hurt." I can have an off day and it won't matter." Then you get on the scale the next morning, "Screech!!! What happened???? I've done everything right except for that one time!!!!" Problem is, Dr. Simeon said that would happen if we didn't stringently adhere to protocol. I'm no stranger to the temptations. My husband had pizza sitting on the counter and the urge to take "just one" piece of pepperoni was hard to pass up. The cookies have been hardest for me. I love cookies.

Take one day at a time friends. We here that about Alcoholics Anonymous but it's true. God says His mercies are new every morning.

    Lamentations 3:21-24

21 This I recall to my mind, Therefore I have hope. 22 The Lord’s loving kindnesses indeed never cease, for His compassions never fail. 23 They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness. 24 “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “Therefore I have hope in Him.”

This little self-exhortation has helped me a lot when I've been tempted to rationalize "just one bite" of something off protocol:

I tell myself that the food menu on the HCG protocol as part of a medical "prescription". That helps me separate it from just a food choice. It becomes a decision whether to take the "medicine" that has been prescribed for my healing, or to choose to reject it. Its no longer about a bit of mouth pleasure at that point. Its a determination to get well, and do whatever is needed to let the medicine do its job.

It is a prescription for our healthy bodies. I would never think of doing part of an antibiotic so why would I short-change myself on this? I've noticed my eyes are bombarded with the visual of food and my brain has the memory of how some of this stuff I used to eat tastes. I think I may just like the idea of it. After how hard I've worked on P2 I don't want to do anything to jeopardize that. I think about the people in biblical times. Unless you were rich you didn't have tons of food to eat. There's talk of people getting permission to go glean in the wheat fields, eating as they were going along. What did they have? Olives, figs, lamb, I think beef, bread; I'm not sure what else. I want to get used to keeping it simple.

    Be well today Leez!

Hi there Kristilyn, oh wow you are so good. I wish I didn't let the numbers on the scale bother me. The scale is absolutely terrifying for me. I have done hcg at least 7 times, straight protocol, rogue, newer version and the losses for me are the same. Great actually. And each time I found weighing daily made me obsessive so I decided this time to do it once a week. Sometimes you stall, even when the protocol is perfectly done, and it's hard to remain focused when it's been three days of no loss and you are feeling deprived. As for the groccery store, lol I try not to go down any of the aisles with processed foods except the aisle where stevia is located. So I pretty much go to the produce and meet aisle and to get trivia. Praying to God to strengthen my resolve so that commercials and other things don't faze me. I'm not hungry today. But missing the foods I used to have. I find I have used food to decompress off work and after the kids go to be. I cook for my hubby and we usually eat and sometimes have a glass of wine. But now I've gotta find a new way

I knew I couldn't do the cals in wine. I enjoy a skinny vodka tonic each evening. Sugar free tonic water, vodka and a squirt of lemon. I have it over a lot of ice because I've always been an ice chewer. I guess I didn't worry about the scale because if I'm doing protocol and I didn't lose any or like one day, even gained a pound and a half, I know it will come back off. The pound and a half came after two days of bionic heartburn and lots of Tums. I spent too many years being held captive by the scale. Now it's my friend. If I have a steady gain I have to reevaluate what I'm doing and change it. No panic, just studying what I'm doing. Now if I woke up, weighed and gained 20 pounds I'd figure the Rapture happened and I ended up in hell. Ha, ha, ha.

Numbers 6:24-26 24 The Lord bless you, and keep you; 25 The Lord make His face shine on you, and be gracious to you; 26 The Lord lift up His countenance on you, and give you peace.’

Cool I can't hardly wait for soup!

I love soup and I've seen some good soup recipes that will go great with P3. Yea!! Had I thought of it before I could have turned anyone of my P2 meals into soup with the blender. Huh, not sure why I didn't think of that!

    Talking Weight loss report

    Good morning everyone.
I know I said I would weigh once a week, but I was feeling particularly discouraged this morning. Not even hungry. Just feeling that I have so much weight to lose about 126 pounds!!!! if I want to get to a weight where I feel happy or 106 if I want to get to a weight where I was before all this crazy dieting. The number is so great. 106 pounds or even 126 if I truly want to be truthful with myself, just a lot of weight to lose. The number seems so high to me. I was discouraged on how many rounds I have to do. The other times I did the diet I had like half that amount to lose.
So I decided to weigh this morning. I measured myself and only found an inch loss of my thighs. I ventured to the scale.........and........
The scale stated I lost about 6 pounds in 4 days. Not counting load weight. I didn't step on the scale for load weight so I have no idea how much load weight I gained and or lost. It could be 2 to 3 pounds more in 4 days! Woah!
I do know my original weight on Friday the first load day was 6 pounds heavier. So I guess I am somewhat encouraged. At least I have the courage to wait until Friday or Saturday for th next weigh in. Let's see what the rest of the weeks brings.

Oh definitely. You can make a chicken soup with veggie portion and chicken and herbs and spices by boiling for p2. I actually did this on my previous round on hcg. Very filling. I plan to do a cabbage soup also for those times when I am super hungry and need someone to fill me up. Not real hunger but just need something to eat. I am not hungry today. I am doing a lot better. I must say hcg diet is 40% diet and 60% motivation and resolve.

Nice job!!!! I'm so excited for you! Look, I have bunches of pounds to lose also. I could sweat over it and have for decades but I simply don't care as long as I'm following protocol. Sure I don't want to gain weight but if I do I'll look at what I've been doing and alter it. You my friend have got to let go of your ability to panic over the numbers on that scale or tape measure. Follow protocol and it will work, you know it will. I'm so happy for you. You are going to do great!

I have two more days of P2 then start P3. There were times that I wanted to tackle my husband and take whatever he was eating. I have a very distinctive goal with this diet. It's my nieces and nephew. I want to be able to do things with them. Average things. Getting on the trampoline, not being afraid the ladder will collapse for the above ground pool, running and walking distances. I'm almost 53 years old and pretty young in my mind. Those kids love that I play with them. I'm going to my youngest niece's school camp for 3 days in early June and I believe I may be down 30 pounds. Just what I hoped to accomplish. Problem is, I have arthritis in my knees and that really effects my activity. I try to push through it like when I cleaning out the pasture but I end up icing my knees. Just have to keep trucking, right? Twinmama, you are doing great. Keep your mind set on the prize but one day at a time.
