Sorry I've been MIA. Taking care of 7 kids is kicking my butt. Thank goodness I have more energy and am able to keep up with them much better than when I was heavier. P3 is just not my friend. I am hovering 3-4 pounds over LDW. I have decided to stop stressing about it. Getting too hung up on the numbers is making me miserable. My first round I stabalized at 4 pounds over, too. So weird. I will be looking forward to another P2 come late August, early September. It will be easier when the kids go back to school and I will just have 2 toddlers in my care. LOL Doing a second round during summer was probably not the smartest idea but it is what it is. I caught up on all the posts and especially loved seeing the progress pics. So inspiring!!

Tomorrow will be weigh day, and I have a feeling I'm gonna be in the 230s!! I just want to get rid of this bloating. I honestly feel like I am carrying at least 2lb in water weight.
I am very curious to see how your strict primal is gonna go. I know it is easy to stray... just with small stuff. In my case dairy - if I react violently to large amounts, I am sure the small amounts ain't helping, either. And hidden sugars when eating outside... just cannot be helped. I hope to do at least two weeks of completely clean paleo P3 as well, as defined by Whole30... we shall see. Definitely not before the end of August, as my vacation weekend is in between, including eating out.

This round is honestly driving me nuts again - starving this morning. I am hungry more days than I am fine... and I have no clue anymore if my dose is too high or too low. Will just have to wing it for the next week. And I know that if I have a stall coming up before, I will probably cut the round even shorter than already planned. Had to do cottage cheese today (talking about dairy), since I forgot to bring food to work. It is now 2 pm, and I have basically finished all my food for breakfast/ lunch. Blueberries, cherry tomatoes, cottage cheese. For now I am all happy again, so I am hoping the hunger was caused by too little hcg in the bloodstream, and today's injection is now playing catch-up... because no more food before 7pm, and then just 100g of white fish and lettuce.

Will make beef tonight in the slow cooker... somehow, I feel as if I am tempting fate and a stall here. Ach, we shall see... I got 400g of beef at home, so 3x lunch the coming days - and continue with fish for dinner, since that really works best for me. And psssst... I will make the beef with some broth AND mushrooms.

Moonie, you asked about being caught out hungry & without food. What has NOT worked for me is to keep a stash of nuts in my car. I eat them, all. If that works for you, more power to you.
I have two options. One, I could go to a grocery store and get whatever I need on plan. I've done this a few times. Two, use some mental defenses. Some of these are quite handy for a variety of situations:

I am not going to die because I'm hungry. I'll be home in X hours and I will eat then--I'll make it. For me, a little hunger, temporarily, is good, because it means I'm in touch with my body. I'll be OK with some discomfort now because I know I can, and will soon, take care of my needs.

None of these are copywritten but make sure to credit me in your mind with every use...just kidding!

I have a fast on Saturday night-Sunday night so no weekend cheating. (It's a major fast in Judaism.) But lets just say before and after I might be a little looser with my usual P4 rules...

BTW, soy is my friend. I just have a wide & varied diet and don't eat it to the point that it hurts my thyroid.

Same here.. have a good Tisha B'av! Happy it is on a weekend, that makes fasting easier, too. (Though to be honest, I am liberal/ progressive, so a taaaaad more lenient on that day than I would be on Jom Kippur, for example.)

25 kilos gone, which is the number I like to see... 9 more days. And then I hope to continue losing when going primal again... Mainly worried about 5 days in the Netherlands, without a scale. But really, I can do some of my own cooking, and when eating outside, it ain't impossible to do primal. Challenge will be alcohol, though... but I am happy to accept a gain and do a steak day when I am back. And I am not a big drinker in any case, can probably stick with diet coke or water most of the time.
SweetiePie: Thank you. My first round goal is at least 30#, going for 10% reduction, so I feel like I am on track for this. 27# in 33 days, sounded really good. I am definitely thinking about Paleo, and I agree with you that Being in the obese category, I wouldn't mind continuing to release in P3 with Paleo, because I am not stabilizing, but doing many more rounds.
I also checked out your pinkpaleo.com and really like your designs you created, they definitely have your personality in them. Nice.

Wonderful Day Everyone! I am so excited, down 1.0 today, which put me at 289, wow, excited to be in the 280's, after seeing 300's, who shudder the thought. On day 21 I finished at -18.5, decent numbers. I had set my goal for this round as 10% down and I'm looking at only 13 more pounds in 21 more days. I do believe I can beat this number. Woo, Woo for me!

You are losing really well already!!! Congrats. But hey, no beating my first round! Honestly, the last three months passed really quickly... especially since getting into paleo was such a blast. I never cooked in my life, usually living off bread, pasta, food on the go and ready-made stuff. No wonder I was fat and feeling like crap. When trying WW in between, it was just ready-made "light" stuff instead. Now, it is really fun to get some homemade food ready... although I am still a one-pan or slow cooker gal. Which reminds me, I gotta throw some laundry into the machine - and beef into the slow cooker.

Do any of you have experience with cycling? Seriously considering it... Would fit perfectly with my schedule the next couple of months. Plus, this round does not like me - I cannot get the dose right. I have been losing fine, but being hungry in between sucks.

Cycling would mean my last injection was today, then P3 starting on Sunday, for 3 weeks, then right back into P2. Hm.... gotta sleep on this.

Sweetie I have considered cycling too (especially because as you know, I don't really trust my hcg so I feel like only doing short bursts of protocol eating would be less detrimental, especially since I go up to 800cals anyway)

May just do another 2 weeks in another week or so!

Today was weigh day, and yuss I am in the 230s. 239.4!

I am surprised because last night a friend came over and I ate lots of nuts (like, way more than the ~30g you're supposed to have hahaha) and dark 70% chocolate.

I think I may have dropped some of the bloating, but still feeling a liiiiiittle puffy.

Today is low carb/low cal day and gym day, and tomorrows weigh-in is my "official" weigh-in for the week, I'm REALLY hoping for 237.9, but I'm honestly just stoked I'm in the 230s.

I worked out that if I can maintain losing 1kg/2.2lb a week (on average) from now until the end of the year, I'll be at approx 86kg / 189.6lb at new years.

To be honest, I'm hoping I can lose a bit faster than that, but even if I don't, that'll be pretty awesome. I was hoping to be 75kg / 165.3lb by then, which is a loss of 1.5kg / 3.3lb per week.... which is probably a bit too much to ask for. I know they say you're supposed to lose between 0.5 - 2.2lb per week for long term success (which makes sense, CAUSE IT TAKES SO LONG TO REACH YOUR GOALS THAT ITS DEFINITELY A HABIT BY THE TIME YOU GET THERE HAHAHAHA). But yeah I mean honestly, just thank god I finally started on this journey.

I've been using an awesome tool lately that I use with primal for planning my calories and macronutrients for gym days vs rest days. Also predicts your loss. Very useful tool! http://www.1percentedge.com/ifcalc/
Seems a bit complex when you first go into it but once you play around a bit it's easy.

I do 80/20 fat/carb split on rest days and vice versa on gym days.

Something scary I have realised recently is that when I am down near my goal weight, my calorie intake is gonna have to be so small to keep losing! Also I've read studies that say a skinny person who use to be fat will have to eat 20% fewer calories than someone of the same size who has never been fat, to maintain the same weight. I'm just not gonna be able to eat anything!!! Lol.
Highest ever weight: 282.4 lb (Feb)
    Current weight: 226.0 lb

Total weightloss so far: 56.4 lb | First goal: 227.0 lb | Progress: 100%!!!!!

~23lb lost with hcg, ~33lb lost with primal/clean eating

Because the next 6 months will pass whether I lose weight or not. I cannot be healthy overnight, but I can look back in 6 months and be thankful I finally started.

I think since you stabalized well last round you would do just fine with cycling. Its strange but I also had the hardest time with my second round and couldn't find that "happy place" with the dosage that kept my mind off of food. I think you are doing great though and losing less the second is to be expected.
You don't drown by falling in the water, you drown by staying there! !

May 22 -1st round 24 lbs gone forever!

Sweetie...I had the most losses when I cycled the first time...43 days p2...21 days p3...reload and back to p2.
I am doing paleo this p3(with minimal dairy) and back to p2 on aug 20th.

    26hrs smoke free!! Yah me.....

The scales hate me, can't wait until Monday...it usually takes me a week to level out and stabilize.

And... yes, I am cycling. Thanks for the advice, girls! I am actually ending on a gain, in a way, since yesterday was my last injection, and today I am up one lbs. But I cannot be f*ed anymore... I have dealt with way too much hunger this round, and a net loss of 12 lbs this ultra-short P2 is fine with me. Let's see what P3 is gonna do... I am obviously hoping for more losses, but just stabilizing would make me happy.

Very curious to see how fast HCG leaves my body, since I have no clue anymore if my dose is too high or too low - was starving yesterday morning and at night again. I will be away from home till Saturday afternoon, so carrying P2 food. And Saturday evening, I can stock the slow cooker with real food and wake up to a delicious P3 breakfast. And most importantly, if I stick to cycling 3:3, I will be in P3 during my Amsterdam vacation, during the Italy wedding, and during the next Amsterdam vacation in October. Win:win, me thinks.
