Listen to that Band!!! I am down 1.6 from my steak day back to 138. My LDW is 137.2 but I haven't seen that number since P3D3 I have been consistent at 138 so far.
Ryann, if you really can't do a steak day then do a high protein day. No fruit. Lots of water. I adjusted my LDW in my round 1 as per instruction from Grammy 1952 It kept me from stressing the number on the scale. You have come a long way and to stress over a couple pounds is silly.
PCanaGirl, I love that line and how true it is.
Maxi, great result from your FFF day! I can't stomach Fage or any kind of yogurt (even frozen lol) so that is not the correction day for me.
justdoit7504, thanks for the tip about the crackers. I will head over to TJ Maxx and hope they have them. I also love german chocolate, it is nice and creamy. Stash it away and enjoy it later.
Have a great day all and Happy Stabilizing!! Lorie

Good morning! I'm so excited! I stuck to my egg day yesterday (I posted a thread with details for people who want tehem), and am down 2.6 this morning!!! I've been looking at all the posts about not being at LDW for a while, so looking back, I haven't been there (149.6) since P3 D1!! I HAVE been pretty darn consistant at 150.2, where I am today, so I'm just eating clean and seeing where it takes me.

At the end of P3, I'm going to do a 16 week program from the book The Female Body Breakthrough: The Revolutionary Strength-Training Program for Losing Fat and Getting the Body You Want by Rachel Cosgrove (http://www.amazon.com/Female-Body-Br.../dp/1605296937) I have always been active, and the strength training is designed for women. The best part is, the nutrition side of it is basically the transition from P3 to P4! You kind of go back and forth between the two within the program. So... I'll let you all know how that goes. Anyone interested in joining me?

    Thumbs up

Loriegirl and Skibunny! How terrific! Glad you are having great results.

I also agree about not stressing over the LDW thing. there is no HCG police coming to your door. This is about learning about your body, getting healthy and enjoying your life. I cant wait until the day I have ONE SIZE of clothing in my closet and it all fits. There is a great line in Eat, Pray Love where she says "I'm so tired of...waking up in the morning and recalling every single thing I ate the day before. Counting every calorie I consume so I know exactly how much self-loathing to take into the shower. " Having bounced around from average to obese for my entire adult life, I cannot tell you how this line resonated with me! I am looking at HCG as the key to a future where I can eat with conviction and with the purpose of attaining good health--- for my particular physiology.

PCanaGirl - perfect quotable line! Love that!

Going into a cooking marathon for the rest of the day in prep for tomorrow nights company.

Sending cyber (((HUGS))) to all my P 3 buddies.

Well, the good news is that I dropped enough to be 1.8 within the "other" LIW. Traveling may negatively impact that, but we shall see.

So many wise people on this forum and particularly on this thread! I'm wondering how many people on this diet are perfectionists? They say that perfectionists tend to be "all in" or "all out" on eating plans. Any mess up can lead to giving up entirely because you are no longer "perfect". The high maintenance requirements of P2 seem made for those of us who struggle toward the completely unattainable perfectionism we seek. Well, even if I'm the only one, it is great to have all of you here to remind me that I don't need to be perfect at this or anything else. Just work the plan and if I mess up, do my best to correct it. It isn't life or death.

Well, here I am. Haven't been on for like a week. *sigh*
Christmas dinner went well, but then I made the mistake of going out to a club with friends that night. I drank heavily, and cheated at Denny's. Then Monday I didn't bother weighing or doing a steak day, and woke up to a 3# gain on Tuesday. I figured it was too late for a steak day since you're supposed to do it the day you gain, and I know that gain was from Sunday night. So I just keep my stabilization for the week at 3 above LDW.

Then last night I had dinner at the boss's house for our holiday dinner. The wife made some delicious food, which I thought was all P3 friendly. THen I asked what was glazed on the salmon... french mustard which contained sugar. Then I found out she used imitation crab for the crab dip, which has starch. I woke up +1, so I'm doing a damn steak day today. I'm 4 above my LDW, and angry. We'll see if it even works, since I waited too long for the first 3 lb. gain. I really hope it works, though. I'm starving and this is torture.

Hey everyone, I just wanted to mention something I've added to my diet on P3, that I believe has had great results in correcting. Here are my weights since P3...
LDW 138. (then down to 137 during last 3 days of P2)
138.5 after first day of P3 eating...1.5lb gain overnight. I had 1 serving of chia seed that day which is a great fatty acid as well as a protein, and a great hydrator. The next morning...
    138, then
    137
    138
    137.5
    137.5
    137.5 (yay! I'm stable)
    138
138 (oops, maybe not...time for some chia seeds)
    136.5 this morning.

I really believe it is the chia seed doing the correcting, not protein, because I've been doing almost 100% protein since day one of P3, and the occasional P2 veggie. No other veggies, and no fruits at all til P4. I remember something in P&I about having a lot of protein in P3, and also been reading posts about majoring on protein being the answer to not losing hair in P3 or P4.

If you all have never heard of it, I can give you some links. I made the most amazing Almond Joy pudding yesterday with the chia.

    Happy stabilizing!

Aack - its like you are in my head! I am a perfectionist and even worse when it comes to my weight. I would always say to myself "You are a success at all areas in your life BUT your weight". It was holding me back for years. FINALLY, it seems like I am allowing myself to let it go...talk about baggage! I love that if I go out or eat a bit more than usual...it's ok...I (keyword being me) can correct it. There is a lot less guilt too!

Thumbs up Great supplement protocol for P4

In anticipation of P4, I have been reading as much as I can. I found a thread called Hating P4. This is a wonderful thread with a lot of great tips, especially regarding supplements...here is a great post by dragginflyy (I think that's her screen name..). She was gaining every day in P4 until she found the key...outlined below:

Okay, I just went to Walgreens and asked the pharmacist tech where the probiotics were. The brand I take is "Nature's Bounty" Probiotic Complex Acidophilus -2 billion. I take one in the morning with breakfast and one at night with dinner. The "L- Carnitine" brand I take is by Finest Nature -500 mg. It is a capsule. Now I did read that you should take this in the capsule form and you take it in the morning on an empty stomach. I take it when I wake up . Gives me about a half hr before I begin to eat breakfast. I also bought a Probiotic Multi Enzyme- Digestive Formula from Walmart. Spring Valley is the brand although I don't think it really matters. It was cheap . It has 1 billion active cultures per serving ( 3 tablets) . I take this with my lunch. I am now out of P4 and I have been eating what I want with no weight gain . Including bread and sugar. I try to not eat the processed food but there are times where I don't have much choice. I am sure you can find all these items even in Canada. If not then you can also just go to amazon and buy them. It has made a world of difference since I started taking these. I am 6 lbs under my LDW yet eating what I want, whenever I want. Hope this info helps you all.

I have not read the whole thread yet... But most of it...it's very interesting stuff!

Hi stabilizing friends. I find P3 so hard. I liked P2 because I loved seeing the scale go down in the morning. Now, I find myself wavering between my LPW and 1 pound above. I try to take no notice of it per Dr. S but I cant help but have it bother me... the perfectionism again. I cant wait to start my next round of P2 and start looking good again.
Ryann- I totally agree with wanting to have only one size clothes in my closet! (hopefully a 6). my wardrobe ranges from a 4 to a 14- and includes all my maternity pants (love the elastic waistband!). my bras also range from 34 D to 38 G (TMI?) it is so hard to get dressed in the morning!
Julie- I just got the probiotics, digestive enzyme, L-carnitine triad- I will post if I note any results.
HereCJ- I think chia seeds are awesome in theory- they are filling and have good protein. but I just can't get passed how they look in food. do you have any good recipes to post?
Liz- good luck with the steak day!

may everyone stay exactly 2 lbs below LIW/LDW..

    Sharon

    Round 1 (53 days): - 32 pounds
    Round 2 (51 days): - 23 pounds
    Round 3 through 5: - same 19 pounds.. ahhh..

HI fellow Canadian I am headed into P3 within the next 7 days. I am worried about stabilizing, and would like to know (exactly) what you did your first week, and what jumps you saw as a result, if you would be willing to share.
Anyone else, please feel free to respond as well. I am feeling very deprived these days even though I went off for 4 days over Christmas. I gained 8 lbs right off the hop, of which 5 disappeared overnight once I went back to my subq. I seem to have no problem with eggs or chicken. My concern is the sodium, so if I can ride out the initial salt-gain with some assurance I will go back to normal. Has anyone gained big in the first days of P3 and themcome back into line?

you seem to be at least staing within your allowance, great job! I am happy to hear about the chia, because it is an awesome ancient grain. It is (if memory serves), a complete protein, a hydrator, a fibre (keepin things movin). I hope I can give it a try once I get to P3 within the next 7 days!
