Oooooooo, I hate when that happens!
Eat extra protein! I also find a big salad helps BC it gives you bulk in your tummy! Drink lots of water too!

Unhappy Ready to do 72 hour transition

I am. I'm starting my 72 hours as of last night so I'll be ready to splurge a bit. I'm an overeater by nature, portion control issues and I'm scared that once I taste again...? Ya know? Help? Support?
    HAVE A BLESSED DAY!

MissLiz, I agree with Julie - if you are really hungry, eat protein and drink water. It is easy to get so hungry that you don't make good choices - I am speaking from personal experience. Don't let that happen.

I ate a large can of tuna (maybe 5 oz), mayo, dill pickles and 2 hard boiled eggs for lunch. I hope that wasn't too much. I meant to make two lunches out of it. Guess I will find out tomorrow. I am much fuller than usual...and burping every now and then. Not cool. Tomorrow, I pack one lunch at a time.

Ryann, I have only been thru phase 3 one time. I did fine during P3 but the 1st week of phase 4 I went on vacation with my family and totally lost my mind - apparently thinking that I no longer had to watch what I ate or how much of it. I would have been fine during this week, if i had limited the carbs - but I didn't. I gained 8 pounds during that one week. To be fair, I had planned to start P2 immediately after vacation and so that included loading. Nevertheless, I did not mean to gain that much and it was a sobering experience. We have to modify how we used to eat - pre HCG - if we want permanent change. I think this next time will be easier. Things are almost always easier the 2nd time around because you learn so much during your first time.
Donna, this sounds like my experience a little bit the first time I did HCG. From the beginning of P3, I ate eggs, cheese, nuts, and salmon on Day 1. I also really pushed calories because back then on the board, everyone was saying from the first day, we needed to immediately crank of calories. I felt terrible three days into P3. I didn't gain more than the allowable amount. So after about a week of P3, I pretty much just went into P4 but started eating whatever I wanted. I still ate pretty healthy-ish, but I would throw in a carb or two and still be within my range so I thought I was some bad *** HCG dieter for whom the rules did not apply. A few months later is when I started putting weight on no matter what I did. I think my body just never stabilized because I got cocky in P3 and then eventually, I went back to my old eating ways. I gained all but 7 of the 17 pounds I lost. It was still worth doing, but I could have done it better.
Also, I noticed that when I gained weight after HCG, I gained it in my stomach area. I've always gained it in my backside/legs first, so it was weird to suddenly get a fat stomach. Ultimately maybe having that experience will help both of us. I know that I will not be taking anything for granted whether my weight is stable or not.

What finally sunk in for me this time (doing a 50 day round no less!) is that it is not just my weight but WHAT I eat. I think before, I was set on what I could get away with eating and maintain my same weight. Now I'm 100% focused on quality foods and getting enough calories to maintain my weight.

@Lisa: I am with you on fears about portion control! And once I start eating a bad food, I want to keep eating it that day and every day after, so it is a challenge to think of adding "new" foods in since I have struggled in that way. I have to remind myself "This isn't the last piece of cake that will be available to eat so I don't "need" to eat this one." We'll do it together! Good decisions go a long way!

Why are you scared? How did it go for you on R1? You've lost a bunch of weight already and don't have too much more to lose. Just keep your eye on the prize! You are teaching yourself a NEW way to BE. . Just make sure you don't go back to the WOE that got you to where you were when you began and you'll be fine! Come on, you can do this! I hate seeing those posts that talk about how difficult it is. I take my strength from the ones that say...follow the protocol and all will go well. Julie

@Ryann - LOL - I was giggling at your bad *** HCGer description. I also gained more in my tummy. That had been a problem area for me before but I had lost all over and was surprised when the gain was almost all in my stomach. We have a lot in common. There are so many people here going thru the same weird holiday experience. Maybe we can help each other stay focused and stay on protocol - not see how much we can get away with. Good luck to everyone!!

Hi all, I'm not starting phase 3 for 18 more day's :-( , But I'll be popping in here to check you all out and stealing some phase 3 knowledge, so I can start making a do or dont list.
OMG, stay away from the coco crack !!! lol. I made two today, 1 with stevia and 1 with truvia, OMG its better than anything i've had before !! puts gierdelli choc. to shame I think.
Stevia tasted like dark choc, and truvia like reg. milk choc.
Beware be strong, I've been wanting another piece soooooooooooo bad, but since i had one small piece of each I want to see if you can really have this stuff without gaining, it soooo good it can't be true.

Good luck with cocoa crack in P2. I had it a couple of times without issue, but like we were saying above beware of trying to find out how much you can get away with. I haven't tried switching up the sweeteners. Didn't know that affected it so much. I made a batch last night and am looking forward to some tonight.

I wanted to share - the can of tuna I had for lunch was 12oz - 5 servings but only a total of 250 for the tuna. With eggs and mayo it must have been about a 500 calorie lunch. 55 grams of protein! No wonder I was burping. Lol at me.

Will someone please share their good cocoa crack recipe. I hear everyone rave about it, but the one batch I made was disgusting, so think I did something wrong. Please share Donna and MadCane!! Thanks!

    redefiningme thanks for the links!

I'm counting down the days until P3. I'll be starting in a week. I can't wait for cheese, bacon and nuts. My last two rounds I totally failed P3, and I know that's why I didn't stabilize. I'm committed to do it right this time. I have a wedding a few days into P3 which will be a challenge as will be New Years, but I don't want to gain any of this weight back.

I really hope to lose 2 or 3 more pounds before P3.

Hope you all are doing well!

This is from someone on the forum. Don't remember who.
2.5 T coconut oil. I use an organic kind. The coconut oil is a white solid. It does not have a coconut flavor.
2.5 packs of sweetener. I use Splenda
    2 T Hershey's cocoa powder.
    Dash of vanilla

Heat coconut oil in microwave for approximately 45 seconds.
    Add sweetner; stir it in
Add chocolate and blend very well
    Add vanilla and blend again
Taste test. Add sweetner/cocoa until you are happy.
I spoon a tablespoon into each cavity of a mini muffin tin and place in freezer.
Will be ready in about 10 minutes

There are many recipes for cocoa crack in the forums. Looks around and you may find another that one you like better than this.
