I'm up a full lb today to 120.2 and the only thing I can think of that could of caused it is the avocado's I ate last night to up my calories and fat for the day....ugh Back to high fat protein today and cucumbers and celery and praying for a drop tomorrow. Not sure what to do at this point feeling a little overwhelmed that this weight is never going to stabilize out before I levae for vacaton on the 28th

It's so frustrating being into week 4 of P3 and still fighting to keep my weight down, this is so not like either of my other rounds!

Oh Shannon, I am so sorry to hear that your dealing with this mess. My friend Crystal is also having a heck of a time stabilizing this round and every little thing is causing her gains as well (and she's also eating really clean). Hopefully someone will be able to shed some light on your situation and give you some advice - until then try not to stress even though I know it's way easier said then done!

One buffet and a couple of rums with diet cokes later... Did steak day today--hopefully I lose a good amount by tomorrow!!! We did a lot of walking and going up and down stairs. My calves are sore and I didn't drink much water. My drinks were mainly rum/diet coke and vodka shots... Arg---what one weekend can do to you!! I stuck with protocol my first round, this second round I was off protocol as soon as I started p3. Then again, it was Vegas. I refuse to change my ticker today. I will adjust tomorrow.. Hopefully I don't have to set it at 150!!
Yikes - now I'm REALLY fearing my 10 day vacation next week! How's your weight today? Would you mind letting me know what you're eating daily and how long it takes to get the vacation weight off? Since I know I'm going to have things I shouldn't, I'd like to figure out how long I can expect it to take to repair the damage - LOL. Hope you had a really fun time though

@Rusty - are you feeling better today?

Hope everyone else is having a fantastic morning!!

lope - what a bummer to see on the scale but you know it's all junk weight, bloating and inflammation. Stick to a strict diet this week and I bet it is off by this time next week. Do a correction day if you want or high fat/ high protein only for several days. It will come off and faster than you think if you are good this next week

Shannon - how annoying!! so sorry. You know that's just bloat from something - would the avocados do that?? ugh

4myhealth - dont sweat it and have fun on your vacation, there are many ways to get that weight off it is definitely not permanent, if you can gain it that fast it will come off that fast

AFM: yep just like Shannon this round P3 is not the same at all but it may have something to do with being at such a low weight for us - maybe our bodies are like "What??" so we need to be patient and just stick to it, it will stabilize just going to be a lot harder. I am pretty strict this round besides 2 nights out in 25 days?? Last P3 round I was awful and not strict but still stabilized 2 lbs lower, east cheesy. Oh well is what it is and just need to deal with this. I was a little lower nothing stellar down .8 at 126 - gonna take a few days to get this off. Still no BM and doing ginger tea (2 days) 4 magnesium at 250 and 2 mag chloride, really?? My colon is such a pain in the *&%%%.
I am 5'4" 44 yo. Was stable at 123 last round, lost focus, back at 144.
R1 1/11 Started at 170lbs got to 140. Another round 9/12 got to 123. Goal is to get back in that area and hold under 130.

Danielle is right - it will drop off fast, just stay the course for sure.

Vacation is to be enjoyed, I have one coming up to Hawaii the 21st of November and don't want to stress about it either. You all have accomplished so much and you have really transformed your bodies and that is utterly amazing. I personally am inspired by all of you and your commitment to health and fitness. I know this diet can make us go a bit kooky and obsessive, but it also gives us a road map to success with good correction methodologies.

AFM - have scale, will travel. Dropped back to LIW and staying there each morning. My body clearly likes that weight. I have to let go of the number of my weight (154) because I always thought I wanted to be at 145-147. But, I have lost SO many inches, my tummy is flat, I'm in a size 4 (I'm almost 5'8") so I guess I should just get over the damn number on the scale! I ate thai last night (no rice or noodles) and even had curry and a little peanut sauce with my satay. That was a nice treat because I usually stick with chicken breast on a bed of salad when traveling.

Customer dinner tonight, so we will see how that goes.

You are all amazing - stay the course and keep strong and focused.

    Wish me luck, lol.
starting to feel funny now though, so maybe i'll have my jay robb smoothy at lunch to be safe.
tonight will probably be chicken burgers, mixed up with cilantro, cummin, onions, with phase 2 homemade salsa on top.

good luck to everyone today, may the scale be kind to us in the morning.
If you need to up your protein, I would suggest a whole egg. Happy breakfast!

4my health - Thank you for the encouragement and sweet words! So nice to have such supportive people on here!

Danielle - At least it was a loss so that is good and we will continue to fight this darn batlle! I am wondering the same thing if we are having a hard time keeping the weight down because we weigh so much less. It seems that I can't go above 1500 calories without gaining but I am also super full off htose 1500 calories of mostly protein, good fats and vegi's. I also think if I wouldn't of gone off the deep end on Day 3 and 4 of P3 I might be in a better place right now and thinking I totally screwed up my stabilizing!

Nonna - YAY for being stable and in a size 4!!! I am 5'3", 120 lbs and in a size 4, so YAY for you!!!

I wish my ginger root tea would kick in I haven't had a BM in days and thinking that coulds be part of my problem also!

Thanks everyone for the well wishes! I am feeling better now, and 4.6 lbs lighter, although this "bug" is not the best way to lose weight, it does make you conscience of what you eat!

Reading about every one's vacations and vacation worries, I thought I would give my opinion (I know, everyone has one of those!)

Vacation days are no different than real life days. We still have to get up. We still have to shower, brush our teeth, comb our hair, get dressed... You get the point. Why should our diet be any different? If you don't eat pasta at home, don't eat pasta out. Now, having fun and being in the moment is A-OK, and a drinkie-poo here and there is all right, but when you mix the drinks with the heavy food, that's when it becomes a double threat, and Up Goes The Weight (Sung to the tune Pop Goes The Weasel).

This doesn't mean that you can't enjoy yourself. Hawaii and Vegas are known for their great food and laid back atmosphere (among other vacation wonders, like Cruises!), that means you have to go in with a plan. Sure, have a bite of that delicious dessert (if you can do the one bite thing, I can't), savor it, enjoy it, don't think calories, the 100 or whatever calories in that bite won't make a bit of difference in your life. The whole thing? Well, that will.

This is the exact advice I follow for myself (so this is again, my opinion, and not worth much), but since I committed to the Paleo lifestyle (which works for me), which is like a lifetime of P3, I have had to formulate plans to accommodate different scenarios including vacations, camping, kid parties, company dinners, eating out at regular or fast food restaurants, even going to a bar every now and then with my husband. Most cases I can stick to my choices, and enjoy the company I am keeping. Sometimes, I just fast. Sometimes I will have to take the host or hostess aside and let them know that there are somethings I can't eat. I think since I started off at 325 lbs, and that's how everyone knows me (you know, his FAT wife), no one will argue the change I have made.

Again (just to reiterate) this is my opinion, and how I handle the life situations that pop up. Life is to be lived, and enjoyed, and food makes it nice, but people and experiences make it wonderful!

Rusty you are so right and that is how I have lived for the past year prior to this round! I stuck to the LR and then basically the paleo/primal way of eating and no matter where I went or what I did I was always able to find foodsI could eat that would keep me on that track and never had a problem. I also would have a bite here or there of things or have a drink or 5 once in a while and was able to be fine with all that because I always stuck to my way of eating clean 99 % of the time and yes basically P3.

But I also was able to stabilize within the first few weeks of P3 and never had any major gains that needed any correction days at all. My last break between rounds was 10 months and not one correction day was needed and although I never ate pasta or flour products of any kind I could for the most part eat out and eat pretty much anything paleo/primal without a gain and if I did have one it would be very small and gone within a day or two.

As far as my vacation goes I am planning to stick to clean eating with the occasional drink here and there of wine andmaybe a bite of something bad here or there but at this point it is making ti to where I am scared to death to since I can't even eat clean foods this P3 without gaining a lb constantly and I have had to do 2 correction days and needed more but it was too soon to do another and I am just finishing up week 4 of P3.

Thinking I need to go back to LR and stick with it for several months to get my body back to it's happy place and cross my fingers it will work again for me!

Shannon, The small people are going up and down, but so are the big people. I am up 1.4 today to LIW+3.6. I'm thinking I better get this under control quickly, so maybe I'll switch to LR for a little while, and stop eating so late at night. It's a vicious cycle in that if I eat late at night, I am not hungry in the morning, so it is noon before I eat something, and then I go with a late dinner again. I can't complain too much because I haven't been restricting myself much, except for starches and sugars; not going crazy, but eating some macadamia nuts, guacomole, eggs, dairy (mostly raw), sausages, spices, cheese. All the good stuff!

Lynne that is a bummer you are above LIW so much! I for sure would try to get control of it before it gets any worse and than you can't get it back off!

I am seriously thinking about going back to LR timing of eating andseeing how that treats me weight wise. I know I can't eat anything really past 2 in the afternoon without my weight being up the next day. I think it has alot to do with the fact I get up at 3am and am in bed no later than 8:30pm and my body just doesn't have enough down time to process it all unless I eat super early in the day.

As much as I dread having to eat BAB by 3:30 am I did it before and it worked like a charm so what the heck why not try it again and see if it can get me back on track and some what stable.
