Trick or Treating went well! We actually doubled our route, because since last year, I have dropped TONS of weight, and can actually walk! The kids had a great haul! They got to eat all they wanted last night, and this morning (other than what the adults of the fam scavenged) the candy is all gone.

Since I went Paleo, the kids did too by default (sucks to be my kids...LOL), but I wasn't going to take away T o' T'ing. There are the 3 standard holidays my kids will get candy, Halloween, Christmas, and Easter, which is plenty of sugar to carry them thru the rest of the year.

What bummed me out is plenty of my favorites showed up in their buckets (Heaths, Snickers, Lemonheads), and the kids were sweet enough to offer me their candy, but I just told them Mommy doesn't eat candy, but thank you for wanting to share (nice life lesson there). So, I made it, and nary a treat crossed my lips.

First Halloween ever I didn't have any candy of course I leave today in 20 mins for Cancun so I had an incentive!! For those of you that had candy just be good it will come right off and for those of you that didn't - kudos!! of course I would have ate it were we not leaving today. Good note is I was back to where I was before the Sat night Halloween party!! yeah!
I am 5'4" 44 yo. Was stable at 123 last round, lost focus, back at 144.
R1 1/11 Started at 170lbs got to 140. Another round 9/12 got to 123. Goal is to get back in that area and hold under 130.

AFM im up .4 but still ok. I only got up to P one time last night, which is extremly odd for me.I think the bacon i put in my green beans caused a little water weight maybe.
Debee: You are doing great! Bacon=good!

Rusty: I agree with your kids/candy stance: Kids need candy and do not need to feel deprived next to their peers.
My daughter's current favorite is gummi worms made by Swifer (or is it Surfer?) Sweets. I think they ar organic, and they taste like real fruit instead of petroleum. They have a nice smell instead of a chemically one.

Danielle: YAY, and have a blast!

    Good job rusty

AFM, no Candy, I had my home made coco fudgesicle and small piece of coco crack to get me through. Added black beans in for the first time this week only 3 spoons. Had A loss of .3 but a loss is a loss, plus i ate later than normal due to T or T ing.
So back at it today and tomorrow to get down another .7 for my weekend cushin.

Congrats on your loss. . .I'd take it. I had a small bit of black beans the other day too and they were a nice addition with no gain. Coco fudgsicles sound good. I have a recipe for pumpkin ice cream that calls for ginger snaps or graham crackers, but I'm thinking pecans would be a better mix in. I may make some tonight. NO COOKIES!!!

Did you ever smell the Haribo gummis? I can't imagine why kids would eat them because they smell so bad. It is so easy (and cheap) to make homemade gummis, and they taste so fresh and juicy! Just plain gelatin, fruit juice , water and sugar. Dissolve it all and I pour it into a baking dish then cut into strips. Grape is pretty good, so is cherry vanilla, and lime is SOUR!

    Hi, everyone,
I have a question that I hope you more experienced ones can answer. I will start Phase 3, on Nov 7, and from what I've been reading on this forum there is a lot of people who have a hard time stabilizing. My question to you: What would you say is the most important thing to do during Phase 3, to help you stabilize well within your 2# +/- range? Thank you so much. I am really nervous about moving into P3.

kacouch, I am one week into P3 and am sitting 1 lb up from LIW which is the best P3 I've ever had. NO steak days so far. Last round I went up 3 lbs after the 1st day. So when others advise go slowly, listen. Focus on high fat versions of P2 foods, which fill you up, make you happy and don't try any of the "fancy" stuff until at least after the 1st week. I have eaten lots of bacon, lots of baked chicken thighs (yummy,) pork steaks, and hamburger patties. I have only added HWC and some ghee and homemade mayo. Yesterday I had 2000 calories and gained nothing. That has never happened before. I eat about 60 - 65% fat. I also have a fruit every day. Enjoy your P3 - it is possible! I love to eat!

#1 Don't add all the new food at one time (ie: first meal of bacon, eggs, cream, butter). I would suggest sticking with P2 foods and add a healthy fat first.

    #2 Stay away from fruit.

#3 Don't stop drinking TONS of water.

I love your it sucks to be kids My kids complained about eating so much chicken when they were little. Now they are in their 30s and neither one has a weight problem. Just think it's funny for you to say that, it hit my funny bone.
