I think I will probly try that also. Im admitted sugar addict and best not to have it around except special occasions. The paleo diet looks like something i could really see myself doing.

I kind of combined the 2 because one is no dairy and I wasn't about to go without HWC and cheese and the other allows dairy. But I never did add grains in and never got fancy with cooking stuff with almond of coconut flour I just stuck to basic meat, vegi's, some dairy and some fruit and than splurged from time to time and then back to clean eating and I kept every lb off and even actually had lost a few extra from time to time.

If you can find eziekel 4.9 bread they have english muffins, bread, hamburger buns, hot dog buns and tortilla's and they are all sprouted grains and the body processes it like a protein rahter than a starch and I ate that once in a while after P3. I never did find anything but the bread and english muffins but they are so good especially drenched in kerrygold butter! http://www.foodforlife.com/ It's hard to find any where close to where I live and the store I was getting it from is no longer carrying it so I don't know where I will have to go to get it now

yep me too, if I stick to dairy, fat and proteins etc.. and no starches/sugars on a regular basis my weight seems to stay stable, when I add sugars/starches I really start to get cravings that's when I know I have had to much and need to back off. I do have coconut flour etc.. but am never thrilled at the outcome of any dessert/muffin/etc.. with them
I am 5'4" 44 yo. Was stable at 123 last round, lost focus, back at 144.
R1 1/11 Started at 170lbs got to 140. Another round 9/12 got to 123. Goal is to get back in that area and hold under 130.

"I thought our weight was supposed to stabilize and stay there. Like when I was in high school, I weighed 140 to 145 for the whole 4 years, no matter what I ate. I guess I'm mistaken, but I thought that was the point of this."

You backtracked and say that you didnt REALLY mean "no matter what I ate". I just wanted to point out to anyone who might not "get it" yet, that this isnt about resetting and not gaining weight "no matter what I eat".

In your own words ,thats what you portrayed as your expectation. I was just trying to correct anyone that thought the same. Sorry if it offended you. I suppose my example of a magic pill staving off the effects of a large pizza was a bit too tongue-and-cheek for you.. sorry if you view it as immature. I could say that its pretty immature to take such offense to someone questioning you.. but I dont know you so I wouldn't make that leap.
I didn't back track at all. I was talking about an actual fact that occurred in the past, which is that I weighed between 140 and 145 all through high school *NO MATTER WHAT I ATE*, and using that as an example of what I consider *stabilized weight* to mean. My exact words were (based on your quote) "I thought our weight was supposed to stabilize and stay there*, which is still what I believe. I don't know why you all would think that is an impossibility, considering that it is the normal state of living. People all over the world maintain the same weight through their adult lives, and do not diet every time they gain 2 lbs. It is normal to go up a few lbs and not diet, just wait and the weight goes back to the set point. I said something about being mistaken, but I didn't mean it; I was not mistaken. This is the way it should work.

I don't believe you are sorry that you offended me, and I was not offended by you asking a normal question. You did not ask a normal question, you made an assumption that you knew more than I do, you twisted my words, and you took it upon yourself to *correct* me. You are welcome you to stay in your narrow little mind and not do any research, not read any books, and not analyze the available information and form your own opinions, but don't think you can *correct* me without getting it right back.
