AZ those apples sound really good. I may try that this weekend! Also, I was going to make the Big Mac Salad but my vegetable crisper was too cold and it froze my bag of shredded lettuce...grrrr! So off to the store I go to buy more lettuce after work.

Hallie I am a salt fiend too! I add it to everything--I have really low blood pressure so it doesn't concern me to add salt to things--but it does make me retain water.

AFM I was down another 2.8 this AM...holy moley...this is the lowest weight I have been since May of 2014!!! I have never had this much weight come off with HCG so quickly--last round I barely lost 15 lbs including load weight and that took almost 6 weeks. 3 days in to this and I have lost 8.6 lbs and none of it was load weight.

I went crazy summer 2014 and gained 25 lbs in 3 months--telling myself all the while..don't worry, it is only 1 pound, then 5 pounds, then it was 10 pounds--and after that I just stopped caring as the weight piled on. 18 months later, I am getting back on track.

I am also in weight watchers (lifetime member since 1999), so I am pretty close to my goal now. Once I get back to my goal weight (I changed my goal from 130 when I was 30) to 145 now that I am 45. I have found it is too hard for me to maintain a weight lower than 140 now that I am older. I can fit into most of the clothes in my closet at 140, so 145 is a weight I can live with now.

We have a potluck tonight and had one last night at church. Last night I ate before I got there and had my apple while everyone was eating. I am getting to the point where pot luck meals kind of gross me out--people's germs in community food dishes sounds not so good (except for at Thanksgiving) :-)

    Time for lunch!

    Have a great day!

    Tracey

Tracy you are doing amazing! Keep it up (and off). That's been my challenge too. I simply have to weigh myself every day for the rest of my life. Period.

    Onion soup recipe
Locate the biggest onion I can find at the store, sliver it without cutting myself or crying and then wiping my eyes and making it worse . Spray crock pot with zero calorie cooking spray. Throw in slivered onions and a clove or two of crushed garlic and crank on high. Wash hands a billion times to get onion smell off. Resign self to having slightly oniony smelling hands - day dream about onion rings, drink water and snap out of it. Stir crock pot about every hour. At 4 - 6 hours onions will be very soft and starting to carmelize. Taste onions. Burn fingers and tongue. Curse. Dog looks at me oddly. Add in one giant box of beef broth, one bay leaf and a teaspoon the thyme. Wonder how old my bay leaves are... I can't recall EVER buying them and wonder if they are over a decade old. Google bay leaf shelf life, decide it won't kill me. Let simmer about another hour. Brown my beef, put browned beef in a bowl, ladle onion soup over it. Enjoy! Usually get two meals out of the soup but brown my beef separately each time.
This little horse keeps going up and down the fence....lets keep him to the right this time!!!

To get the onion smell of hands. wash and run your hands along some stainless steel like your knife or a sheet pan if you have got one. generally neutralizes the odor. you should add your beef to the crock pot and slow cook it all day then it will be beef and onion soup. with shredded beef. Yum! That sounds really good to me right now! Oh and that was super entertaining to read btw!

Holy crap the amount of posts that have gone on today is crazy! heck yes! this thread is awesome! I like the drops, I've always had good results on them.. To whomever asked me that question. I do homeopathic hcgasap.com they are legit and work for me and my pocket book. They have the pellets too, but are slightly more expensive, and i've never dealt with them before!

Holy crap to a 2.8 lb loss! I'm super jealous! I had a couple sips of some kombucha yesterday and didn't lose as much as I would have liked, but a loss still the same.. Would like to get below 200 this round which is attainable. Can't believe I let myself go for so long. Ah well, can't live in the past and the future seems thinner so I will had that direction. making braised beef tonight with chinese five spice and cabbage stir fry. that wll be like 3 meals because of the size of roast I bought. Need to cut it down into chunks because it's soooo late in the day and I want it to be uber tender and shredded.. Oy, still at work and haven't had lunch and all this is mking me hungry.. even though i'm really not hungry. So may just have an apple. Keep it up ladies! and off! I like that quote! I've read so many new posts today on this thread I can't remember who said what! That should be our motto though "Keep it up!! And Off!!!" Can ya dig it?

    Cool

    Hello
Joining the group also if men are allowed here

My wife and I are on VLCD Day 3, Round 3

Everyone stay positive! I am also in the camp of gaining massive weight during this last holiday time. I was at my goal weight prior to the month of December In fact I gained so much I don't think I can hit my goal weight again unless this round goes GREAT. I am counting on ...great! It is amazing I can gain so much weight so quickly in one month's time...and it was more than 25lbs.

It is easy to beat ourselves up, it is a mental thing for me. Last time I was confident I would not have to do another round, but here I am.
For me the day I stop stepping off the scale is when I blow it. The scale is our friend.

Anyway most of us have done this before and know the END results. Remember this when stalling! I had massive stalling and weight gain last round day after day and just stuck with it.
This forum is a great place to be.

Thanks for the recipes and keep them coming please. The pie sounds great!
    T

Since we are same height... Can I ask what dosage you started at and are on now? I'm having hunger issues :/ I'm always mildly hungry on hcg. I'm thinking either 1) i need to figure out my dosage once and for all or 2) there is something wrong with me? :/
