Kapluzie, I would love to hear my husband say my arms looks smaller!!! My love language is words and his is acts of service. Have you heard of the 5 love languages? We figured out ours online and laughed that the only thing we had in common was neither of us needs gifts to show love. Bask in the glow of his words, girl! "Encouragement is food for the heart and every heart is a hungry heart." And good luck to you finding the right doctor. I'm always grateful for referrals from my friends. My family doctor was referred to me as well as my kids' dentist, both of which we've had for 19 years because they're irreplaceable. We drive a ways to see them, but they're so worth it.

AFM, I have been the same weight for a few days now, so I think my body is telling me it's stabilizing. Hoorah! P4, here I come! I also put a new battery in my scale. Did I tell you I brought it on vacation with me in my suitcase? Well, I should've taken out the battery whenever we packed up and went to the next place because I think it was working anytime it pressed up against anything, which was often in our packed car. It gave me some wild weights the last couple days of vacation and after we got home. I instantly dropped over a pound when I put a new battery in. Learn from my experience--if you have erratic weight results, maybe it isn't you but the SCALE!

Hope you are all doing fabulously. I bought sprouted 7-grain bread from Trader Joe's with 7 g. carb for a test this weekend. Also a sweet potato. Wish me luck!

    And hello, Jayk.

Hello AbsAgain... glad your doing well. Let us know how the sprouted 7 grain bread is

The only way I eat the Ezekial bread is toasted as well.

Lately been craving perogies as I have been feeding them to my daughter and husband. I may try a couple one day and see how I do or I may not. I am stable last couple days, so this is good.

I agree its nicer to have a doctor whom you like and trust of course as well. Just sometimes they seem hard to find.

Good morning to everyone. It's a lovely day here and I'm hoping to spend the day in the yard gardening by the pool. I no longer have worries about the foods that I am eating. It's been a week since I started the FMD-- and today I had a small loss of -.4. Last nights dinner consisted of chicken sausage with eggplant, summer squash, onions, and rice fusilli.
I found another physician-- the staff was VERY pleasant and answered all of my questions without rushing me off the phone-- hopefully, this is indicative of the way the practice is run. When I was asked the preliminary questions, I mentioned the thyroid testing. I've got about 3 weeks to absorb some of that medical jargon.

So glad some of you are finding your way of stabilizing-

I made a mistake this morning. I saw my weight, did the math, and thought I was less than 1.8 lbs. over my LDW. Later, I looked online at my actual LDW and realized I was actually 2.2 over!!! And I had already eaten yogurt with raspberries. So, I've not introduced starches today even though it was day 1 of P4. I did a chicken w/ salad lunch and chicken w/ veggies dinner, plus wine. I'm hoping I'll be well below LDW tomorrow, or that it's not too late for a steak day...

I've got to wake up completely before weighing myself from now on...

You probably wont need to do a steak day unless you stay 2 lbs over LDW... I would wait and check your weight tomorrow. You might be just fine.

Kapluzie! That is such great news that you found a doctors office where you are treated properly. Thats as it should be. Also what you are eating on FMD works well for you.

Attaching a copy of my quick stir fry dinner tonight. Good for p3 or p4. Grass fed ground beef with sauteed onions, celery, yellow peppers, mushrooms and kale with lots of spices and seasoning. Dessert was half pt of fresh blueberries and orange spice tea with stevia. I am full!!

Rose- that looks delicious and sounds amazing-- I can't wait to try it. thanks for posting. How does it feel to be back home? Are you on your way to creating some new masterpieces?

Abs- yes, I agree-- hubs has some great qualities.. Although I might acknowledge ( and even rant at times) the bad traits, I do appreciate and focus on the positive. I hope you had success with dropping some weight thru eating clean.

AFM-- messed up again last night..... this diet is quite confusing to me. Only because it changes it up every 2 days or so. Last night I went to a bbq at a friends house-- I took my afternoon snack and a phase appropriate meal that I had prepared last week ( I had frozen the leftovers- for such an occasion). But I didn't realize, that last nights dinner didn't have a grain. My recipe, which was from the same phase -- for a dinner-- had a grain.. Sometimes you have a grain, sometimes you don't ( tune of almond joy in my head). No change on the scale this am--- so yay.. It's good to know that I can mess up and still hold my weight.

    Todays menu-
breakfast- 4 slices of turkey bacon, celery, and jicama.
    snack- roastbeef, cucumbers
    lunch- stuffed peppers

    Hey gals,

Steak day for me today. I was up, not down. It didn't help that I had wine last night--so much for eating clean. Weekends are hard.

Angus grass fed ground beef cooked in butter and olive oil w/ salt and pepper, tomato.

My husband and I are going to a Josh Turner concert tonight at a county fair. I am a huge Josh Turner fan and this is my first time seeing him in concert.

    Cool

Abs- I'm a huge fan of country western music, dance and culture. Have fun at the Josh Turner concert. I think he's got a great voice. And he's easy on the eyes. lol Have fun!

Today I took the kiddos peach and nectarine picking. Some of the peaches that my boys picked were as big as softballs. I didn't eat any- being that I am on a phase today and tomorrow with no fruit. But I look forward to biting into one of those softballs on Wednesday.

I took my measurements yesterday and since being on FMD- I lost 1/2 inch off my waist, 3/4 inch off my hips, and 1/4 off my biceps. So I guess hubs was right- my arms got smaller-- he's got quite an eye

Your menu today sounds delish. Im home for the whole month and getting lots of new art done. Also finished a commission from OKC of 4 boys whimsical style 3/5' that was taken in mid April and customer approved last week. So we will deliver to her cousins house Monday. Happy to have this done. Will head to Chicago early Sept so hope to find an extended type of hotel so I can eat well. Love having the ability to NOT eat out.
