    I would love that lol.

Today I weighed 135.6 so happy to see the scale go down. I just finished TOM. I am perimenopause, haven't made that 12 months in a row without yet.

I sometimes wonder if my hormones don't help. Also since that chinese food, I was taking Skinny Teatox, and wondered if that was stalling me, instead of helping. I quit taking it the other day. So will continue as I was before and see if go down another 2lbs or not.
Also been reading 'The Plan' diet and it is very close to a lot of what Haylie Pomroy says. So might try the 3 day cleanse.

Glad to hear from everyone and I am sure you will drop down again Rose. The meal sounded wonderful though.

t bone steak--YUMMY and at longhorns--- even yummier. I also went out for dinner last night and had a fmd no no-- but am now back on plan for a few days.

Afm-- I got in contact with the doctor that prescribed my full blood workup... She agreed to treat me for a hormonal imbalance without me buying all the protein powders and supps and following her nutritional plan. YAY! I am planning on doing her elimination diet ( or another) when I hit P3. I think it will be easier- being most of the no no's are already out of my diet from P2. And I feel like I need a break form all this restrictive dieting before I start my next hcg round. I'm feeling anxious and want to get the ball rolling regarding the hormonal imbalance, but I have to wait for about 3 weeks- that's when my saliva test results will be available. So far, I'm showing signs of hypothyroidism.
I'm 5'2" and curvy in nature
    Round 1- starting weight 184.6
    LIW-159
    end of P4- 164
    Round 4- starting at 152
    LIW ( only 30 days)- 134.4
    P3- 138.4
    Round 5- starting 143
    LIW- 125.6

Rose, you said, "I made the mistake on my first round f HCG f stopping thyroid meds because i was told i might not need it but that was a mistake. After losing substantial hair i went back on meds and hair loss stopped." I'm losing hair right now. I thought that was just a side effect from losing weight so fast and it would stop. I'd rather not start any medication. It has stopped after previous rounds. Were you on thyroid medication before HCG?

Jayk, you said, "I am perimenopause, haven't made that 12 months in a row without yet. I sometimes wonder if my hormones don't help. Also since that chinese food, I was taking Skinny Teatox..." What is that? A tea? How old are you? I'm 49 and also perimenopausal. I continue to be surprised to see TOM.

Kapluzie, I imagine you're interested in your results. Hypothyroidism. Were you expecting that? How's your hair loss since you went P3 and P4? Are you on anything already? My own sister and grandmother had thyroid problems, and I always wonder about that... Do you find your results confusing or enlightening?

AFM, I'm up a little today and am considering a second steak day (but with chicken) tomorrow if I continue up. I like when Rose says she's going to take a few days to get back down. I prefer a strict day every few days rather than a few days of strictness...

I should have clarified Abs. Yes i was already taking my thyroid meds and the clinic went to said you might not need them after you do this. I took that to mean i should stop. Bad advice. I do know if you do two 42 daybrounds back to back like i did in 2011 with 6 weeks in between it is from dieting. but mine coupled with discontinuing the thyroid meds was a mistake. I followed their advice without telling my regular GP. After that i stayed with the meds and while i occasionally will shed some hair more than normal on some rounds it nothing compared to what happened on first two rounds. Fortunately i didnt end up with bald spots but was concerned. Im 72'and some hair thinning does occur with age. Never got my nice thicker eyebrows back. They are thin on the ends and i have to add a little pencil. That happened about 10 years ago.

ABS- My results are both enlightening and frightening. My hair continues to fall out at alarming rates. Some days are worse than others. It's a good thing that I started off with an extraordinary full head of hair. Now, I'm average... to some, it's not a big deal because I still have a nice head of hair- but for me, I lost more than half my fullness and some length. Most of my other symptoms, I've had my whole adult life. So I'm not sure if this was a life long issue undetected. My specialist seems to feel I've had an imbalance my whole adult life. And doing the diet (the reduced calorie part) is what sparked the hair loss. But for me, that wouldn't explain why the hair loss hadn't stopped when I stopped doing hcg for over 6 months... the way she explained it to me ( which made perfect sense) is that when I am on hcg- it brings my hormones up to a normal level range--(which explains why I feel so great while on hcg) but when the P2 is over, my levels drop drastically which causes the hair loss- along with the 500 cal nutritional deficient diet. All I know is that I'm exhausted everyday and my hair is still thinning. I want to get it corrected. It's probably not the best idea to do another round right now- but I am so close to my goal-- I don't want to put it off or stop. I usually fall short of reaching a goal- but this time I'm determined. In the past, I stopped when I was 1 round away from reaching my goal- due to the hair loss. So I never reached goal and my hair continues to thin. This time, I'm determined to reach my goal. Hopefully, I can also work on correcting the hair loss issue.
Unfortunately, I don't have much support with the hormonal imbalance. My family thinks I'm nuts! They feel that my numbers are within the labs range.. they also feel that I pay too much attention to my eating habits ( mind you -- no woman in my family wears a size smaller than a 16-18, and we're all under 5'5). When I don't want to eat fatty foods/fried foods- they think that I am starving myself ( even though I pick a healthier alternative to eat). Hubs is trying his best to be supportive.. but again has been on me to go out and eat fried foods and drink beer while watching a sporting game. I go out, and occasionally indulge in a drink or 2, but I refrain from the fried greasy foods. ANYHOO-- I'm happy I found a doctor who is willing to work with me.
My weight is up today, as I broke down and went out to eat 3- yes I typed 3 times... this week. However, last night I went to a local irish pub with the hubs and I indulged in 2 beers and yep some fried yucky food. But I lost a pound overnight... guess the shock to my body, made it work double time... I will be sure not to keep testing those waters... I'll take the loss with a smile and return to healthier eating.
I have a lot going on right now-- not only my imbalance, but my oldest son is in 8 th grade and we are applying for him to attend some private high schools. He is an exceptional student (A+) that is athletic ( he is a wrestler) and he plays the trombone. I feel like I'm applying for college all over again. It's extremely stressful. But his teachers has been wonderful with writing recommendations and all-- his first interview is next week.. I'm a nervous wreck for him. Probably why my cortisol levels are up!
I trying to calm my nerves with deep breathing. I don't have the patience right now to do yoga-- and I don't have the energy to do cardio or weights.. It's a vicious cycle!

Kapulzie, your tiredness and continued hair loss sounds so much like hypothyroid issue. Within a month of being back on my meds the loss of hair stopped. I hope they really check this out. You might be borderline thyroid ...

As for family members, i try to ignore it all. My mother in law whose doctor tells her that if she loses weight will help her arthritis always wants me to eat something starchy, sweet or icecream. I found by telling her no thanks...im not hungry ..but id love a cup of coffee seems to make her happy. You are an example to your family that they are NOT eating healthy so they are uncomfortable with your healthy way of eating. It is what it is. Kudos for sticking to your healthy way.

I am just leaving it alone for a bit. I am still 135 today.

Jayk, I am 49. Did I tell you that already? I find it interesting whatever people are going through around my same age...and especially a little ahead of me.

Rose, you are an inspiration. You still have a living mother-in-law? Wow. Unfortunately, my parents and in-laws have passed away. You are blessed. It's amazing that people live as long as they do on the foods they eat. My mother-in-law lived to be 83 while smoking, eating poorly and little, weighing 75 lbs. at the end, and having heart weakness due to emphysema. All I want is to be a good role model for my kids and to fit in my clothes and look good for my husband.

Kapluzie, you are a good role model for your family! Change is always hard, and if you're koo-koo, then what they're doing isn't bad. Keep up the good work! You're so close. I know what you're going through, having to resist the peer pressure of your own husband! Mine makes his own beer and it's just sitting down in the refrigerator downstairs, calling to me. But I resist (most of the time). My whole family eats pizza every Friday, which I resist. They eat pancakes every Sunday morning, which I resist also. You can do it, Kapluzie. My wish for you is that your hair goes back to normal after you reach goal. Mine is still falling out, but I expect it to stop soon and start coming back. I'm trying just to ignore it. Fortunately, I have curly hair which masks some of the hair loss.

AFM, I'm on the fringe of 2 lbs. above LDW, but didn't have to do a steak day today. I am having 3 buck chuck wine from Trader Joe's tonight (I bought it yesterday for the weekend) and I also had nuts. I ate a sprouted rye (from Trader Joe's) grilled cheese w/ chicken sandwich with tomato soup for dinner. My carbs were low and my protein was high, so I'm hoping my weight will be okay tomorrow.

Unhappy Argh!!! Can I never take a break?!!!

    Darn it all!

I was within 2 lbs. of LDW yesterday when I went crazy on carbs. I had a light breakfast of 2 sausages, veggies, and coffee w/ h&h. Lunch wasn't until 2:00 following a half-hour bike ride and I ate steak with salad. But dinner contained NO PROTEIN: sprouted wheat toast w/ butter and jam, 1 cup popcorn, and a cooked apple. Inflammatory foods, apparently.

This morning I was actually up 3.5 lbs. Yikes!

Since I exercised, I rationalized I could indulge my cravings.

Today is a correction day (but not a steak day):

    Breakfast:
    black coffee
    Lunch:
2 chicken thighs fried in coconut oil with onion, mushrooms, and spinach.
    Dinner:
    nothing
Plus water, water, and more water

Hope you're all doing better than me today!

Sounds so much like inflammation you certainly ate a lot less than i do every day . Maybe be sure to have protein at night.
Only thing coukd be sodium from popcorn and if so eating p3 for a cpl of days should drop it off Did you stay hydrated yesterday? Lots of water important

Thanks, Rose. Just hearing from you encourages me. I only lost 1.6 pounds from my sort-of-steak day yesterday, so now I'm wondering if you're right about me eating too little Sunday. I'm going to eat P3 the rest of the week and hopefully I will go right back down.

Kapluzie, I forgot to commiserate with you about the hair loss! Losing hair is upsetting! Has it happened to you every round you've done? That's the only thing that I dislike about losing weight so quickly--the hair loss. I don't think it's thyroid for me, because it always comes back. I'm assuming yours grows back eventually.

I've been looking at the Fast Metabolism Diet cookbook and wonder about her theories. While it is impressive that she has Hollywood clients, are her dietary recommendations based on fact/science? What's her background? I can't seem to get her book from the library (got the cookbook). It seems so counter-intuitive to eat high carb when that's what makes me gain ordinarily. However did you overcome your reluctance? Is the FMD something Grammy likes?
