It was 102 degrees and everyone ate ice cream. They've done that too me all summer with Pie and ice cream. I did not gain! Yay! But, I'm good now. Going to continue eating clean. Going to avoid sugar for the most part. We are having a big BBQ Thursday for my moms 60th bday. Might have some BBQ, no bun. I love pork, but in the past I've always gained from it, even with nothing on it.

Good job Rose, so impressed with your keeping faithful while being gone! Keep up the good work.
Rose is the head guru of eating on the road! She does really well.

A BLIZZARD!!! That is definitely on my list of indulgences. Not this weekend, but I think next weekend. I am still relatively sugar free...so it will be a huge leap for me. But I really think you have to build some of this stuff into your diet for an occasional indulgence. Hubby has been after me to try one, because he wants one....but I just can't quiet do it.....hopefully next weekend.

Keeping sugar down under 25grms, and eating fruit means no processed foods at all. I just can't quite live that clean.....I'm more like an 80/20 girl.... 80% clean with 20% whatever. Whatever I do needs to be sustainable because I am determined to stay off the yo-yo dieting roller coaster.

Haley Pomroy is pretty amazing. I have not done the diet and don't think it would ever work for me, but her ideas about how to combine (or not combine) macro nutrients are good. I know both Grammy and Leez have mentioned that eating more than 100grms of carbs in a day is important for the health of your metabolism and that long term low carb eating can play havoc with the metabolism in general and on the thyroid specifically. So on resting days I eat 105 grams and am up around 200 grams on days that I'm working out. If I'm eating carbohydrates in a meal then the fat count needs to be below 10 grams.

I ate Chinese food last night......it really was kind of gross and my experience was as it had always been, once I started eating I ate until I was stuffed....I felt lousy afterwards and I am in no hurry to eat it again. I feel all puffy today too and the scales are up 1 pound. Not worth it....But a blizzard might be worth it! Enjoy the rest of your weekend everyone!

Ive decided not to go crazy with food and now, after the blizzard am going to try to stay for the most part sugar free and just a carb now and again. I really want the pork chop tonight but scared of a big gain!

Good job Rose. Nice post River

I am going more Brown or wild rice if I try it. The bread is sprouted grain for me for now. I am trying to introduce carbs and stay high, as Grammy even says we can't be afraid to eat. So I agree with everyone about taking it slow. Try a bit one day and then stop for a few.

Basically I am incorporating clean eating as well, not doing the FMD diet unless P4 doesn't work for me this time.

I ended up with no pork chop. forgot we had a dinner to go to. just burgers and the normal stuff for most people. so I ate 2 burger pattys, watermelon and cherry tomatoes. still had 600 cals to eat when I got home after 8. so I ate a peanut butter sandwhich on sara lee 40 cal bread. ate that every day with no gains before. still over 300 left. so will probably see a gain tomorrow. ended up going to visit someone in hospital and taking my grandbaby girl to urgent care. she scratched her cornea pretty good. and my daughter in laws brother was in car accident Friday night. hes in ICU with his brain detatched from skull. so was not around food most of the day. any prayers for Eric would be appreciated!!

Tanya you are doing well Will pray for your family for quick and complete healing. You have had a lot going on which i didnt realize as i originally skimmed your post.

We also use the Sara Lee 45 cal multigrain bread . Im eating bread rarely because i dont feel like it. We are headed to Chicago area today but staying at hotel with kitchen again so we can eat better. I buy sugar free sausage and cooked a bunch of patties for breakfast My sweet treat is peanut butter with cocoa and truvia which is put in freezer. It tastes good after eating sausage Yesterday got salad to go at mexican restaurant. Chicken, lettuce, beef fajitas, extra chicken, guacamole, sauteed onions, green peppers, and mushrooms , and lots of red sauce... It was delicious. Also had blueberries and tangerine. I ate a protein bar 180 cal since we slept in and i didnt really have time for three meals. Im sure my calories were in the 1700-1900 range which is a lot for me.

I really wish I could be done with the whole calorie counting thing. But I find myself panicking over it. As I said last night, I was still probably 200 low but managed to drop the 1lb that I've been up from ldw. After eating a pbs at 8:30 last night. I was thrilled. I am not getting enough veggies in, I know. I really need to work on that. Fruit I am doing well with. I ate two plums the other day, have had grapes and watermelon with no issues.
I have to go shopping as I'm out of almost everything but chicken. It's a good thing I love it.

Good job Rose! It's so hard doing this lifestyle change when not at home. And with a family that eats different. I crockpot cooked the families pork chops in Lipton onion soup mix with cream of mushroom soup, but am cooking mine in olive oil then baking with my own seasonings.
Thursday is my mamas 70th bday and we are doing a BBQ, with all the yummy salads and cake and ice cream. I am going to try to make my own ice cream with the banana recipes I'm finding.

Tanya..let me know about the banana ice cream recipe. I throw ripe bananas in the freezer for banana bread at Christmas but im accumulating too many. Happy Birthday to your mom. 70 was a big one for me. Im now 72 so over the shock of 70. Since my health is good and we are still working age is just a number;however, i do find myself getting weary sooner.

So Sorry to hear about your family Tanya. Wish them a speedy recovery and prayers.

Yesterday I did my Kale smoothie, had crackers and almond butter. Ate some plantain chips, just a few. Missed lunch is why I did that.

Had a couple glasses of Motts Clamato, which I like and wasn't sure how I would do. Ate meatloaf with BBQ on top and had a half baked potato with cheese, bacon and some sour cream.

This morning I still weighed the same. I wondered all evening how I would fare but thank goodness okay. I am doing better this round than in April P4.

Still just eating when I am hungry, and not counting calories. I also had a few pistachios.

In general i dont really count calories but will estimate every once in awhile to see how much im eating. I am amazed that im able to stay stable right now with how much i think im eating That is satisfying to know. Btw even though i dont have to i still drink lots of water every day ..between 60-80 ounces not counting tea or coffee

im drinking between 70-90 water not counting coffee.

I have to tell ya'll that I was going to make my almond flour pancakes for breakfast ( sooo delish!) well, didn't have enough almond flour. so I thought substitute
the coconut flour. well....let me tell you, that you cannot just switch flours! I made such a mess. used a cup of c. flour as it said for the almond. I ended up with 3 cups
of the driest pancake mix ever! kept adding water and it didn't get an wetter just kept growing!
SO I looked up my coconut pancake recipe that I hadn't tried yet and it used less flour and more eggs! I still managed to make a cookie like pancake that tasted very good.
and I have a ton of mix left. so will fix it tomorrow and go from there.
