    Hello, Hello, Hello!!
I found my way back! I kept trying to and as I always say, I'm too stinking busy!! Its so great to read that ya'll are staying pretty much on track. I on the other hand have not.
Kapluzie, I am in same boat you are and rowing backwards! I gained 5 real lbs. not the ones you can do a few correction days and your okay. I eat super good for 2,3,4 days then
seem to binge. I am so proud of myself today that I didn't buy sonic. it was so close, I could smell it. I have been making some snacks I can throw in the freezer and take with me.
    which, I find very helpful.
although, as I was saying, I have also been super exhausted miday. and I cant drag myself out of it. yesterday and today are better. My fibromyalgia has been the worst its ever been
for almost 2 months. So might be part of that.
But, I am going to try to stay more connected as I try to get this 5lbs off. I seriously ate 5 boxes of graham crackers last month. had a little help from son, but not much. He and I both
agreed to quit buying them. funny thing is every time I ate them I would lose. but, something caught up with me. Anyway..
Got to go finish deep cleaning my house before hubby gets back from his hunting trip.

Good evening ladies. . . I decided it was time for another round. I still have some weight to shed. I'm on P2D2.
I have an appointment, next Tuesday with the doctor who is following my potential hormone imbalance.
Rose- while eating "healthy" on the fmd, I was utterly exhausted. I could barely get out of bed. Some days were better than others, but there wasn't any indicator as to why.
I can't say I feel better when I eat healthy. Maybe that's why I hareturned to unhealthy eating in the past. I don't know.

A lot is going on for me.
I am back to work. Kids activities are in full swing.
We are applying to private high school and magnet high schools for my son. It is a tremendous amount of work. I feel like I'm applying to college all over again. We've done a few school visits, my son has attended their student for a day program, and we've even had 1 interview so far. This week we have a school visit tomorrow night, student for the day for my son on Friday and an admissions test on Saturday.
My 15th anniversary is next month- and the hubs just told me he booked a two day excursion for us. He knows that I just started protocol and asked me to NOT eat like a bunny. So I'm considering a planned interruption. I'll decide closer to the date.
I hope everyone is doing well and is happy.

Rose - looking back at my food journal, I think fat is my problem. I'll need to monitor my intake me closely during my upcoming P3. The carbs that I consumed in fmd were mostly veggies. . For the most part, I stayed away from starchy and high glycerin veggies. I'm not gong to stress this round. It is what it is. I can't control every aspect and jump through hoops.
Going to take care of hormones, then move on.
    Appreciate all the advice.
I truly in my heart believe that different diet plans are for different people. I do not enjoy 99% of dairy products. I am NOT a nuts/seed person. I will not longer eat food that I don't care for just because someone else thinks I should.
I truly enjoy lean meats, veggies and a few fruits (berries mostly).
I may return to the zone like eating plan- as I was pleased with my choices and schedule...as well as my reduced inflammation on that plan. But I'm not making any commitments - first the hormones.

Congrats on 2.2 lb loss. Ive never had much more than a lb loss per day. rarely 1-1/2 lbs. So good for you. I think the zone is a good P4 plan too kapulzie. I just dont care for dairy. I do love my bacon each morning...but other than bacon and peanut butter I probably do not eat as many fats as I did some days in P3. I use grass fed ground beef and it is pretty lean. I usually add evo to sautee my stir fry type veggies. I used to use coconut oil but I suspect it causes me gains. I was doing my crack sweets with almond butter cocoa and truvia. only tried coconut oil once with it and didnt like aftertaste. agree...differences in our bodies cause different results.

I just try to not let it happen to often.

You have done well then Rose, with being away and travelling. Good job

Abs... I hope you enjoyed the dessert. I know for me the only dessert I would have trouble with is cheesecake. I do like it, but can look at it and say no. Other than that sweets aren't my thing thank goodness.
Jayk, thank your lucky stars that you don't have a weakness for sweets! The tea party was lovely, but the sweets served weren't as good as they looked or as good as they once might have been. My taste buds have changed so now cocoa crack is good and richer, less sweet desserts are are the only sweets I really enjoy. BTW, one of my desserts was chocolate chip cheesecake.

You said, "I sometimes feel just like before taking hcg, that it doesn't seem to matter what I eat I will gain." I have that helpless feeling sometimes! We can't give up, though! I was up 5 lbs. above LDW at the end of last week and was freaking out a little. But fortunately, it slowly but surely came down this week. I'm still up above LDW, but it's within reach now. I'm no longer feeling helpless. Thank goodness I have you all to talk to!

What is your water goal each day? Mine is 8 glasses, or 80 oz. because I weigh around 155 (i.e., drink half my body weight in oz.). Do you also drink coffee or tea on top of that? That always adds to my load. Do any of you get up to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night, I wonder?

I hope you get more regular hours at your job.
Apple frittata is one of my favorite treats which I usually have for breakfast. Do you all know this one? If not, you take an apple and slice it and fry it up in a cast iron pan with butter. While that's frying, mix 2-3 eggs with h&h, cinnamon, and 8 drops of stevia. Pour that over the apple slices and add chopped walnuts if you'd like. Cook one minute on medium heat, then transfer to the top rack of a preheated 400 degree oven. Cook around 5-10 minutes, depending on the size of your pan. This scratches a baking itch I have sometimes, and makes me feel like I had dessert for breakfast.

Abs- I know we have different reasons for grabbing the sugar. But either way sugar is the DEVIL. I truly believe that sugar effects our brain chemistry. So even when we kick the habit, we are like an addict. Just being near it, makes us crave it. I can make myself salivate, just by thinking of skittles-- ya know those rainbow colored candies?
It's ok to be human.. you indulged... you probably ate 3 pieces because you've been sugarless for a while and the addiction took over. All it takes, is 1 bite for some of us-- to then binge..
Just move on, go back to your healthier way of eating... if you stick with P3 style for a week-- you should recover... good luck
Kapluzie, thanks for reminding me it's okay to be human. I keep forgetting the force of habit--when I'm tired or out with friends, I tend to go on autopilot and do what I always did. I need to be present and make conscious choices. Thank goodness HCG has a way of reminding me that I'm in control of my foods.
Kapluzie, sorry for your struggles maintaining. You're really giving this your all! Way to go. I keep wondering about your thyroid. And hormones. At our age, and we're going through the change of life which has to throw our hormones out of whack.

Working and mothering and applying to private schools! Stress! I'm glad you have a getaway with your husband to look forward to! Oh, boy, are you guys going to enjoy that! I remember my husband insisting we get away for our 20th (after 15 years of non-stop parenting) and me not knowing I needed it. Good luck on your next/final round. My girlfriend is now doing HCG because of what she's seen in me and what I've told her, even the ups and downs. Congrats on being down 2 lbs. You're doing something right lately.

I wonder if part of your fatigue (besides hormones, age, working, mothering, and stress) is caused by eating so often on the FMD. Your body revs pretty high while digesting constantly and it never gets a break between meals. Your metabolism is high, but digestion requires a lot of energy. That's why I'm having a new attitude about steak days this round. I look at planned fasting (basically) as break time for the bod. Throughout history people fasted and did fine. Ever hear of that guy, Louie Zamperini, who the movie Unbroken was about? He was on a life raft and not eating for over 40 days, and then starving in a Japanese prison camp for 2 years, but he survived and lived to be 97. It was a great book, if you ever wanted to read something about WWII. My point is, fasting and starvation diets apparently don't hurt and just may help us.

You said you felt tired on FMD. Do you feel good while on HCG? I sure did.

Hello Tanyamac! I totally can relate to your busy-ness. This fall is going by in a blur. We're four weeks into our homeschooling and I'm also teaching a class as well as leading a teen club averaging 45 kids a meeting. Thank Goodness we have these ladies and this site to come to when we can come to when we slow down.
Thank you for sharing your struggle with eating good for 2,3,4 days and then binge-city. Good job resisting Sonic (and those tots!). I know the pull of old habits. What does the fibromyalgia do to you? Is it constant or just monthly?
Funny about the graham crackers. So, last week I gained from dessert indulgences at a tea party, and for two days afterward my weight was up and I was drinking Alka Seltzer because I felt lousy. No wine or coffee or treats of any sort, but didn't do a steak day because I needed something in my stomach to keep from feeling worse (I thought). Anyway, it's taken a week to get down within 3 lbs. of LDW. Should I have done the steak day? I don't know. All I know is my body was definitely telling me I can't do much sugar on the same day anymore.

I talked to a man who found out he had diabetes at a routine check-up through his company. They ran more tests and it was confirmed. Yikes! No pre-diabetes or low-blood sugar warning... I've been thinking about that lately. I do not want to get diabetes. I already have had low blood sugar (although HCG stopped the fainting spells so maybe I don't have it anymore).

Rose, I agree, you were doing great for being on the road. My brother changed careers, from welding to truck driving, and he gained a lot of weight on the road. But it sounds like you know yourself. He didn't know how to maintain and indulged in a lot of inflammatory foods.

Do you own the THM book? They've now split it into two books, a how-to and a cookbook. I'll have to look on Amazon for used copy of their original. I like that their info jives with HCG and yet allows some carbs with low-fat protein eating. Seems plausible. I skimmed the book the first time I read it, but I will give it another look again soon. I'm 3 lbs. above LDW and want to be below again. I need to tweak my diet some.

Rose, you said you rarely lose more than 1 pound. I lost 1.2 after eating this yesterday:

B-coffee, h&h, cottage cheese, mandarin oranges
L-arugula, cilantro dressing, sunflower seeds, cheese, avocado, apple
    D-chili, corn bread, corn, butter
    S- glass wine

Go figure. I expected to be up, especially since I had that glass of wine at 9 p.m.

What is that "evo" you mentioned?

I love coconut oil for my cocoa crack and popcorn, but not much else. Butter is my go-to fat.

Evo is extra virgin olive oil. I use it or butter and no longer coconut oil. Im really not trying to lose weight. Im below my goal but when i did hcg i averaged half lb per day average. Everyone is different. Recommend your brother just make plans to stay away from fast food if he goes to mcdonalds he can get two qtr lb patties with no bun and a side salad with balsamic vinegar dressing. Very filling and cheap. Also keep Pure Protein chocolate bars between meals and keep fruit on hand. Also tell him to drink plenty of water. A lot of truck drivers eat the worse food and gain quickly . Just need to plan ahead. Natural almonds or walnuts also good snack food. I eat lots of bacon no bread for breakfast and fruit

First.. I have to ask what is h & h? Probably something simple, I am not remembering.
Sounds like everyone is busy! I finished day 3 of clean eating. Yesterday I was down a lb
Making me only 4 lbs up. Ate Totally clean and I was back up the lb today. But, my calorie
Limit is 1770 to maintain my ldw. Well, I've been eating 1200 to try and lose the 5 lbs plus maybe an extra 5. Which according to my fitness pal should take 5-6 weeks at the 1200. I've been eating all protiens and greens with 2 fruit, and one bread carb which is the Sara Lee 45 c bread. Have always lost fine with that before.
Abs: kudos to you for homeschooling, I always wanted to but had no patience and would have ended up doing crafts all day!
Rose: I love your new smiley picture!
Everyone else keep up the good work. I'm happy to be back being part of this. If I'm not here it's usually cuz I just forget or don't have time. Have a blessed sleep!
