...I'm tired of analyzing everything to the point where I change everything, make myself anxious and it doesn't work anyway.
I SO hear you on that. I fight that battle myself.

I'm just finally able to hobble around without a walker. It took a good 10 days, but I'm so glad I'm no longer having to scoot up and down the stairs on my butt. My arms are so sore! I am taking solace (but not much!) in the fact that I've gotten in a good weight-bearing workout over the past 10 days.

Yesterday, I lost a filling in a front tooth, so DH will be driving me to the dentist tomorrow to get it fixed. The ankle isn't stable enough to drive yet. Its always sumthin.

Thanksgiving cooking will be a bit of a challenge, but I should be able to manage. Our big deal on TG is cuddling in with a blankey and watching the parades, so I think I'll be able to handle that amount of excitement.

Kapluzie, I think you will have to accept it. You should not try to lose weight in P3. In P4 if that happens, then fine. But both stages of the round are important for stabilizing.

I haven't heard of making P3 longer than three weeks, or 21 days. I understand the frustration though. I have done three rounds this year so far. I will be glad for this weekend when I am done P2 and move into P3.

As for THM I haven't decided which mama I am. I know I am not a purist at heart though. I do like to be able to have a cheat, or am too busy to cook. So it's nice there is a way for all mama's to find their place. I have looked at some sample menus for different kinds of mama's and am liking the menu's so far.

But for losing weight hcg always works for me. It is the stabilizing/maintaining I am pursuing with THM and hope it works for me.

kapluzie I think you have done well on your journey and will continue to do so. The knowledge through each round helps us.

Good post Jayk. I guess im a modified mama. Basically i eat fats, proteins and moderate carbs most meals. Usually eat two feuits per day. When i do starches i eat low fat that meal but include protein. Thanksgiving i will eat a little of everything but focus n meats and veggies. Im going to make a mashed cauliflower with cheese bacon and chives for potato substitute. However, i will eat dressing and plantains sweet potatoes , mac and cheese for starches and probably a cpl of T of rice. Also room for dessert . Going to inlaws but we are cooking meatlf, stirfry steak fajitas and veggies, mac and cheese, plus ill make a nice green salad with cilantro avocado dressing. I suspect i will use Friday theu Sunday to drop a lb or two

Jayk- I'm not trying to lose weight in P3-- I am trying to remain stable. I am thinking of extending my P3 because as I said earlier- I haven't had the chance to test many food items.. and I think it would be a shame if I started to introduce starches without knowing if "P3" foods are ok. I'm not staying in P3 the entire time. Many folks on this forum stay in P3. I am only considering to prolong my P3 for an extra week or 10 days, so that I could test several more food items. Then I would be doing at least 3 weeks of P4..
I would eventually like to be closer to my LIW before starting another round-- but I'm not stressing over it.

I'm crazy busy today preparing deserts for Tomorrow's feast. I'm hosting Thanksgiving, but for an intimate group of 12. For me, that's intimate. lol
I made a sugar free cheesecake- but didn't taste it. It looks really good. Today is my chopping, cutting, slicing and dicing day too... so that tomorrow can go smoother when the company is here.

Hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving!!

I think I understand now. I may have misread things about P3, and just thought one couldn't stay longer in it. But I think it was those people who were scared to add fat perhaps. That is what I must be confusing things with.

But now after doing a search I see many people have stayed in P3 for long time to stablize.

Sorry for all the harping on it

I hope you all had a Great Thanksgiving and oour doing well.
I start P3 tomorrow and am excited. I have the THM cookbook and getting ready for P4 already lol. I have ordered a few of their products as they are available in Canada as well.

I love their recipes, so many treats to be had if I want, and drinks. A lot of good stuff in there. Not that I didn't like the FMD recipes as there are many good ones, but this way of stabilizing looks more to my needs. It explains so many of the superfoods and what they do and how they help.

And no more Chinese food for me lol.

I've been busy all week with a house guest--my bachelor brother who reminds me where I got all my bad eating habits from.

I made it through Thanksgiving, not eating the mashed potatoes or pies or regular cranberry sauce.

Happily and amazingly, I'm only up 3 lbs. from LDW. And that's in spite of caving and having pie and cookies over the weekend (I'm only so strong) and eating candy in the car yesterday while driving my brother home to MI (an 8-hour round trip).

Good to see you all here, still, after the holiday. Sorry I've been MIA. Too busy entertaining.

I'll be happy to get back to a more normal routine. I've got to keep experimenting with recipes, like Rose. I made my own sugar-free pumpkin pudding (no crust, xylitol-sweetened). It wasn't bad, but I should've made an almond + butter crust. I also used xylitol and stevia in my own cranberry sauce, which was very good. And my own sugar-free whipped cream. But despite all my attempts at low-sugar eating, I slept very poorly the night of ThG. Oh, I drank 2 glasses of white wine. That probably was the cause.

    Hello Ladies,
I've been so busy. Hosting Thanksgiving. I ate clean and weight was stable. No change. My appetite is starting to come back. I could be in P4 right now, but I'm sticking with P3 until Sunday. I may begin fmd on Sunday.
I've had a chance to read THM-- well, I skimmed it. I think in order to do the plan properly, I would need to invest in the cookbook. However, I'm not quite convinced that I am ready to dive into THM. There isn't much structure. I think I need to be more in tune with my body to have the plan work for me. Possibly somewhere down the line I would venture into it. But for now, I just want to maintain without all the guessing.
It seems like a sound plan and it works for many. I do look forward to getting to know my own body better.

The days are passing by so quickly. Feels like I just ended my P2. But I'm almost 4 weeks out. Looking forward to beginning my next round in the new year.

Officially I can be in P4-- but I have decided to wait until next week. Yesterday, I introduced almond butter and I had a loss this morning of 1 pound... yay! Almond butter is a go!
Hoping to test a few more delights this weekend.. then move onto P4...
