Good to hear from you Abs. I would say you did fine through Thanksgiving. Now we just have Christmas to get through.

    Great loss Kapluzie

Seems I bounce up a pound and then down a pound.. which I guess is stable... I've introduced several items and am confident that I can maintain through P4..
I am beginning P4 tomorrow. ..I am still learning about THM- I think I just get the criteria mixed up because I'm not actually doing it. I want to see if I can maintain in P4 without a formal plan. I would love to be able to gauge my needs without a formal plan..
So far, this has been my best P3 yet. I did gain during my get away- and unfortunately I never recovered from that gain.. BUT I have been able to keep myself at the same number for over 3 weeks since then. So I'm calling that stable.
I'm 5'2" and curvy in nature
    Round 1- starting weight 184.6
    LIW-159
    end of P4- 164
    Round 4- starting at 152
    LIW ( only 30 days)- 134.4
    P3- 138.4
    Round 5- starting 143
    LIW- 125.6

Kapluzie, stable is stable, even if it's a little higher than we may want. I'm 4 lbs. above LDW, but not 8. And I've been indulging in cookies and wine and candy and other things I shouldn't be having much of, so it's kind of remarkable that I haven't gained more.

Good news! My girlfriend who wasn't losing fast enough ended her round having lost 20 lbs. She was seduced by the idea of losing 30, but our doctor told her she doesn't have that much to lose so she'll lose less each round. Anyway, she's maintaining wonderfully and has never even needed a steak day.

I decided to stop eating regular cookies and am making my own--with almond meal instead of flour and Truvia instead of sugar. The lower sugar is a nice change.

Hope you are all doing okay this time of year. I am busier than ever and hope you'll all be back here when the holidays are over.

Hi Abs...just checking with other P4 people. I have been baking nonstop...breads, cookies and three different fudge. I use the Truvia which contains some sugar but a lot less than regular. My weight during my cooking and tasting for flavor moves between 135-137 which is still below my goal. I know to eat clean most of the time but all this baking makes the scale move around. This morning was 136.4 Two days ago was 135.4 The main thing is stability My key s weighing daily still knowing it will be up after tasting fudge recipes

    Hi all,
I've been in P4-- lost track of how many days/weeks. I'm not counting anymore. I'm steady as she goes. Up 1 pound, down a pound... it all evens out. I haven't really had much breads... not my go to eats. I'll be sure to incorporate some more complex carbs and breads next week. I'm sick this week with a bad cold. Knocked me out for 2 days.. but now I'm recovering. I guess this is what happens when I am in a "sick" classroom everyday. lol
I haven't been following any plan. Just clean eating in moderation... I haven't felt the need to "fall" off the diet wagon..
My hair is starting to grow- not sure if it is the biotin or the P4 style eating, but I'll take whatever I can get.
Can't imagine my next round is only in a few weeks. It seems like it has been forever! Time sure is flying by.
I hope everyone is having a great season. Merry Christmas!!!

Greetings, gals! Hope you're enjoying the festive season.

Sorry to hear you've been sick, Kapluzie. Hope you feel 100% soon!

Rose, I just had cocoa coffee today with Truvia. I like that sweetener because it's so close to sugar, and doesn't raise my blood sugar. I made cookies for myself using Truvia and agave nectar for sweetener and they tasted pretty good.

I'm maintaining 4 lbs above LDW for weeks now despite going to too many parties and eating very differently from previously... I'm grateful I don't gain weight like I used to over the holidays. I also appreciate that I don't crave the carbs like I used to this time of year--I'm resisting many foods that I used to struggle with.

I also haven't had a period in almost 40 days, so I'm wondering about menopause and my hormones (I'm 49). Do women make it through the transition into menopause and maintain their weight without a struggle?

Abs im 72 never took hormone replacement thru menopause because i hated how i felt...bloated and heavy. Just me. I think you can make it thru menopause without gaining if you keep track of your thyroid especially.
Inthink it took me about two years before i ended all periods.
BTW congrats on maintaining close to LDW with parties etc. i love the taste of Truvia and have no digestive issues and my diabetic husband has no sugar spikes with it. AFM last couple of days at 135.6 average. I know end of this month it might go up a lb or two but wont last. After that we head to Florida for cpl of monts of shows and hopefully some cash flow

Hello Ladies. Great to hear from everyone. I am set for Christmas, going to my brothers, and his daughter and son and their families will be there.

I started P4 on Saturday. Had bacon and eggs for breakfast, tuna salad and ginger/carrot soup for supper. Ate some blue corn tacos that evening.
On Sunday for lunch I had leftover Tuna salad and ginger/carrot soup. For supper we went out and had Chicken Caesar Salad with shrimp skewers.

My weight remained the same. This morning had some THM Slim belly jelly on a Light Wasa Cracker. Will see how the day goes and what tomorrow brings.
